Xbox's Phil Spencer, a new hope.

7 posts in this topic

So there is a new CEO in Xbox's hood and i got to say im really liking this guy, he has came out with what i expect someone who represents a company like Xbox to be like, he understands that gaming comes first (not T.V.) he ADMITS they were wrong last year and that's something some fanboys can't do, and hopefully he can help lean Xbox into a better direction from which they were heading.

This guy isn't Xbox alone but hopefully because of there train wreak last E3 and the way PS4 has been beating them all year, he may be able to show some of those other people who fucked up Xbox that the fans and games matter first.

Right now i might end up being on good terms with Xbox once again if shown at E3 they are capable of being everything they were not last year and bring Xbox One a good name instead of a name that's nothing but a joke now.

E3 this year needs to be 90 minutes of kick ass software being shown without any suits doing PR bull crap

I like Phil because he is a gamer plus he also listens and talks to the community

That goes for all 3 of 'em. The Big N, Sony, and MS.

The main problem with 2013's E3 was that all the presenters were corporate suits. They were clearly out of their element and didn't seem to understand that E3 is mainly for games and software, not tv stuff. They were pandering to the wrong crowd for like the entire summer and fall.

I like many of you am waiting to see what is presented this year at E3. I do like Spencer at the helm though, I feel he can lead MS into a direction that will benefit the company. I also think (imo and quite arguably) that Xbox One has the potential for a great library of games slated for release this year and into spring 2015, which clearly they'll bank on for keeping current owners happy and attracting new ones.

the atmosphere for E3 has been taking a more business approach for awhile, that might explain the presentations/presenters. Other events like PAX are more relaxed and game related.
