    • Yes. But I will not pre-order it. I need to save up my money. Then I will buy this game. I need this game to play. I am huge fan of Civilization and well as Alpha Centauri.

    • Yes. But I'm very poor. I need to wait for price goes drop down or off sale price event. Then I will buy it.

I heard Firaxis Games will develop Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth which is hybrid between Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and Sid Meier's Civilization V. This game is not going to be called Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri 2 due to EA hold the license. Likely, Civilization: Beyond Earth will be 75% sequel to Civilization V and 25% sequel to Alpha Centauri. I heard the rumor that Civilization: Beyond Earth will have many XCOM references due to developed by Firaxis Games. Remember in Civilization V: Brave New World? There is also possible that you could travel from first settled planet to the different planet and conquer all of the planets. This game will be released in Fall 2014. Did you want pre-order it?

Good. Did you vote for 1st was Yes as pre-order, 2nd was Yes as saving up the money, or 3rd was Yes as wait for the price goes drop down or off-sale price event? So I'm trying to get Civilization: Beyond Earth by saving up the money and wait for price goes drop down.

Love Civ V so I'll try this out but not immediately, never played Centauri so might wait from some decent reviews (none of that IGN crap) before taking a plunge.

Yes. But I would saved up the money. I'm gonna wait for the price goes drop down to less than $30. Then I will buy. My rumor is about EA will open the Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri as downloadable full game on Origin Store around 2015 for an less than $20.

Before I buy Civilization: Beyond Earth, I will buy the Civilization V - Complete Edition after California. In Arizona, was to hard to find in WalMart with quality for Civilization V - Complete Edition.

*UPDATE*

There is an E3 gameplay video was shown.

But wait. I just discovered that turns out, EA has opened the Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri on Origin store already. The price for Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is $4.99 (close to $5) right now. The rumor is plausible. Sorry, I didn't look at it.

Not sure. I loved civ 2, and 4. 5 was a bust to me but i hear that the expansions make all the difference, i only played vanilla civ5.

I never did like AC, but I loved Master of Orion 2...

So yeah, not sure.

I have noticed that expansions make all the difference with firaxis. Xcom was very good but the expansion pack didn't add a new campaign yet added more than enough for me, for it to feel fresh and complete

Gonna wait until it drops in price most likely, since I'll probably be busy with other games when it comes out. No poll option for waiting for a sale though since I'm not very poor.

I will most likely wait for a sale, there's so many games and only so much time outside work. Don't really want to pay full price for a game that I may only complete once or twice

It was some time ago now when myself and a few other officers and members would get together for multiplayer, let me tell you now it adds a entirely new element to the game, tune up difficulty and switch on raging barbarians and all stay on team 1 to unite under one to fend off the horde, form teams or go completely standalone with victory conditions and trust me it becomes it's own poker element there.

I will be getting it on launch, it will go down and possible go on sale, the same could be said about all games, it depends if you really want to wait a few months just to save around 15 pounds. I will be hosting multiplayer games once this comes out for all who interested, so long you can commit to a time scheduled, it's a little strict, but you NEED to for this game.

Check out the Angry Joe interview the employee from Firaxis on E3 2014. He didn't say about travel to different planet just like Planetary Annihilation. I hope the Firaxis will add more planets, so everyone will travel from this planet to other planet to settle the city base. Similar to Planetary Annihilation.

Civ 2 and 4 were complete games at release. Loved them both.

Civ 4 also had nice expansions and added to the content and complexity.

Civ 5 vanilla was chopped. You really can't play Civ without some kind of religion system. It's more Age of Empires than Civilization.

The expansions are nice and add a lot of gameplay, but it can't be called Civilization until you have at least Gods&Kings.

Sadly, we're talking EA here. With what they've been publishing lately, we'll find a ton of bugs at release day and a ton of DLC (even if it's a new IP).

That's one of the reasons I'll wait until the price drops. Yes, I'll save 15 bucks and miss the just-released hype and online play, but I've got dozens of other games in the back burner waiting to be installed, played and completed, as well as a hundred games in the to-buy waiting list. So, I'll be busy until then.

After the increasing amount off BS an increasing number off publishers are trying to pull day one dlc, exlusive content  and pre order wise. I've decided to stop pre ordering unless there are special circumstances that gives me incentive to actually give a shit about pre orders again. Other than that, unless the reviews from the few sites and youtubers I still trust tells and shows me its bad. I'll buy it.

The publisher is 2K games. I can't remember a game from 2K lately that I didn't enjoy closer to release. Yes, every game has a certain amount of bugs at release but EA games fare far worse in my book than 2K :P
