Activision tried to buy Valve?

13 posts in this topic

I was checking a video of the Jimquisition before, and on the video of why people hate EA, i found on the comments section that Activision tried to buy off Valve once, or something like that. Since you people know more of the game enviroment than me, I want to know. Has Activision really tried to buy Valve? And if so, what were they expecting by buying off Valve?

can you leave the link of the vid so everyone can check the comments and do some research, and i guess if it is true ACTIVISION wanted to use the brand image of valve to sell games aslo by owning valve it will own steam which is a good digital download service and it might have something to do with Half-Life3. but that my guess if it is true that it was welling to buy it.

Well, aparently, EA thought it was a good idea to try to buy off Valve with 1 fucking billion bucks there. Lucky for us. Gabe Newell may be a dick when it comes to not making Half Life 2 Episode 3, but the way he's rejected the offer of EA...thank you, Newell. Thank you! Otherwise we would get bs like "GRAVITY GUN DLC!! PRE-ORDER THE GAME, AND START WITH THE HAZARD SUIT!!"

I hope Gabe never sells off his company.. And the one to take his position as owner/ceo be a clone of himself.
