All right Sol, you've forced my hand. I said Yumekui Merry or else, and it's looking like "else"! Here's another photo from your cosplay archive, this one far less... flattering.

Trigun and/or Trigun: Badlands. Hopefully that is in the one anime rule. If not, then just Trigun. <(?_?)>

Trigun is so overrated.

11/10

I joke. It's great. It's awesome. Classic.

Has its down sides, because it is old. And it kinda shows.

8/10

Which is weird, it takes a huge step in a different direction from its source material (manga).

But it was still great.

Rail Wars.

It's an Anime about Trains .... Apparently.

CHOO CHOO MOTHER FUCKER!

Ugh... That's not even the best Sailor either. Sailor Jupiter best Sailor.

I'm interested in this... Nudist Beach cosplay...

I'm just not interested in it. If you sent me some link where I can watch, maybe I'll watch it.

What don't have the balls to go through my laundry list of anime I gave you?

We, Without Wings

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU

Demon Kind Daimao

The World God Only Knows

A Bridge to the Starry Skies

Horizon in The Middle of Nowhere

I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job

Mashiroiro Symphony

NEW RULE

One anime per day per person*

*With some exception.

In all honesty, only half of them seem interesting, mostly because I've known about them for awhile (and personal friends have told me about them), but havn't gotten around to them yet (Demon King, TWGOK, SNAFU if you were wondering which ones I'm referring to). The other half of them look like the usual dime-o-dozen romantic anime which is either based off of gal game erotic visual novels or contains high school shenanigans, which of course means I have no interest in watching them.

Not saying that they're bad.

I'm just saying I have no interest in them.

Maybe I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job is worth the watch. Sounds kinda like The Devil is a Part-Timer.

Most of them are totally not worth it other than say about three of them. I've watched all of them Ironically and un-ironically. The ones I actually ended up liking are My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, The World God Only Knows (Mostly due to the light novels), and surprisingly enough We, Without Wings because the story of Sybil comes to mind.

How about Berserk? My friend read the manga and said it was cool. Should I give the anime of it a shot?

If you don't mind awkward naked men yaoi moments, soldiers dumber than MGS1 genome soldiers, 99% of it being back story/flash back, main character being another "Look at me, I have big sword, main character, ugh feelings," the love interest being a tsunderererere, and being thoroughly disappointed in the ending, then yes. Give it a shot. By all means.

But seriously, watch it. The yaoi moments are bromantic than anything else (although........ eh... I'll leave that bit a lone). Yeah, soldiers are dumb in the anime, but it's a medieval dark fantasy setting. Everyone's dumb. Guts, the main character, actually makes the (or at least I like to think so) ridiculous big sword trope. Best part is, he looks like he could. He's buff. And hardcore. As for feelings, and being emo... Well, he has his reasons. And I think they are very very very valid reasons. Although, he's not being emo. Just angry and broody. As for the love interest, she's a bitch at first, but if you take into the consideration the setting and who she is, it makes sense and she has a reason. She later warms up and stuff. As for the ending.......... ehhhh..... Great anime, but remember, back in the day, animes and OVAs were made to get people interested in the series so they would buy the mangas to see what happened next. In other words, it's a cliff hanger. Overall, brutal ass anime with great music (excluding the opening song. Mixed feelings), and cool story.

You could watch the movies to pick up where the anime leaves off I guess... Or read the manga, which I suggest.

Manga is really good. Don't look up the horse. Your friend will know what this means. And ask him about the timelines between the anime and manga, since the anime's timeline (the series' timeline in general) is a bit askew.

Also, remember, Berserk is dark fantasy. It doesn't pull punches. It's pretty hardcore. And I don't just mean the blood/gore. It gets pretty fucked up.

Edit: updated scores

As is, 8.5/10

If you read the manga, watch the anime, watch the movies, if it ever gets a season 2, if it ends, then 9.5/10.

tl;dr

Give it a whirl.

There's a reason why the cheapest complete set for Berserk is like $100 on amazon.com.

It's an anime to get dedicated to.

Also, great music.

Don't know why no one has asked this but Hunter x Hunter (new version)? I love the story and everything works except for some reason every single ark ends anti climatically (except for the greed island ark). The main character isn't just  Gon, but his friend killua seems like a main character as well. What Dragon Ball could have been if Goku wasn't so a freaking alien later on.

Bamboo Blade?

I only watched the later half of it. Pretty cutesy. I believe it's the only anime I've heard of where the main focus is kendo... and cute girls.

From what little I can remember, wasn't too bad. Kendo Power Rangers are best Power Rangers.

I don't watch it.

Only thing I know is that a band I like (Galneryus) did a song for them.

Yu Yu Hakusho.

Never finished it.

That shit went sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo on.

But, from what I can remember (which was everything until the dark demon whatever tournament)... it was pretty good. A lot of shit for middle schoolers, damn. Kuwabara was the shit. Was reallllllllly drawn out. Rose guy was best guy. But Kuwabara was always best guy.

Surprisingly enough, no. And you know what? I think I can handle this one.

10/tits- er, I mean tit/1- FUCK! What I'm trying to say is: breast anime ever in recent mammary.

Um... what I actually mean to say is...

I'm such a boob.

Beyond the fanservice (all DD's of it) HSoD doesn't really bring much to the table. The zombie elements are pretty standard fare for anyone who watches, say, the Walking Dead. Or really anything zombie related made in the past ten years.

The over-the-top action scenes are kind of fun to watch, in that if they were a video game cutscene I might watch them instead of skipping them after the gameplay finished loading, but that's really about it. It's a pretty unoriginal, mindless action/horror series with guns, babes, and the undead, and if those three things aren't enough to keep your attention then you'd probably do well to stay clear of it. If they do, then you might enjoy it. Either way, it's nothing to write home about.

I'd say the series is deserving of a 5.5/10 in my book.

Yes, Sol, I'm getting all up in yo turf. Whatchu gonna do about it?

You can rate Highschool DxD, that's what!

Danagaropa: The Animation.

Best to play the game in my opinion, but the series can be a nice introduction.

The anime has some pretty great characters. Stereotypical as fuck, but interesting nonetheless. I like that main villain is shrouded in mystery 'till the very end. Keeps the show less predictable. Same with the murders. As far as I'm concerned, they don't reveal the killer with obvious methods of murder.

The series are also very colorful despite the theme which is nice. Makes it seem all happy and friendly, but in reality is just a facade for the despair (hence the full name).

One thing I found very disturbing was the fact that it felt being rushed towards the end. I get that you can produce only twelve episodes, but, please, make the pacing better then as it was all over the place.

If scores were relevant, I'd probably give it a 7/10, but since they're not, I'll just say that it receives 7 bananas out of 10 apples (rating system in a nutshell essentially). It's worth your time, but start watching it if you don't consider getting the game (-s) as well.

Boom! I'll go along with Uber and try and take over this joint!

I already explained my thoughts on Danagaropasamaniposapurple.

I think it was along the lines of: Play the game.

Giving the anime an arbitrary 7 is too much.

Personally, I think it deserves a higher score. 7 at the very most. It's a TITular situation... I want to give it a nice score, because it's not pussy footing around. But it kinda only has boobs and violence going for it...

Everything about it advertises zombies and tits, all I expect is zombies and tits, and well... I get zombies and tits, and some nice extra stuff.

A lot of people say they don't care about the characters, but I kinda do. I can still remember most of their names despite watching it once a few years ago. I did kinda care when they got in trouble. And all the girls except for best girl Saeko and mysterious Shizuka are... just... awful... Rei is kind of redeeming but... I hate them. I find the characters to be well written and endearing. Maybe not original by any means, but I got feelings from watching their interactions with one another. Not only that, but I found the show's dialogue to be "realistic."

As for offensive fan service... HOTD isn't the worst offender. By any means. It's blatant, but I don't find it "offensive." Ridiculous... but not offensive.

Arbitrary score out of 10? 6.5, but I give it with love.

Black Cat, don't know if I should watch it or not?

Give it a whirl.

Only 24 episodes.

Neither do I, and I do apologize if at any point it seemed like I was being a little harsh on the fanservice (though, if anything, I felt I mostly ignored it outside of the first spoiler). Frankly, when you have a scene where you have a girl's jiggling breasts going all Neo on a high caliber round, you've moved past the point where the fanservice has any potential to offend me and moved into "in awe of the audacity of the act" territory. Though the requisite bath scene was still extremely blatant. But, again, not as bad as some that I've seen (not including straight-up porn, mind).

As for the characters, really only Kohta (the gun-nut otaku kid) has stuck with me in terms of name and traits, and that's mostly because he's named and modeled after Hellsing's mangaka (and also because we share a tendency to nerdgasm over weapons). Outside of that... I don't know, didn't the girl with the sword kill a guy in self defense and like the feeling it gave her, or something? I seem to remember the brown-haired protagonist guy being kind of generic, so I guess that puts him leagues ahead of everyone else in the cast in terms of what I remember about them. But, hey, I guess some things stick more easily for some people than others (I can barely remember most of everything I learned in math class, but ask me to do a Monty Python skit? Shit, let's just hope the ceiling's high enough!).

I don't know, I almost kind of want to rewatch it to see what I remember. Then again, with the new Civ coming up, I doubt I'll have the time before I'm declared legally dead and they cut off the internet.

But speaking of fanservicey shows-
