WiiU, good for kids?

6 posts in this topic

I'm tempted by a WiiU for Beyonetta 2, the upcoming Zelda and a few others, but I also have a very young kid (pre-school) with a Birthday around Christmas time, so I can't really justify owning one without it having something to offer for a kid that age because m PS4 and XB1 have little to offer in that regard. Being a Nintendo console, I assume the answer would be yes, but I'd like to here specifics from people who actually own one.

Thanks in advance for the help.

There's plenty of kid friendly games that your child could play. Nintendo consoles generally appeal towards all age groups so you shouldnt have a problem finding a game. I let my 6 year old brother play Mario Kart, Super Mario, and Disney Infinity on mine, it has parental lock on so he cant play mature rated games when I'm not home.

Nintendo consoles are very kid friendly, my first console was a Super Nintendo. I would start with Donkey Kong then move onto Mario and then maybe after a couple of years move onto Zelda games. Also as SovietMankey stated Nintendo understands they are kid friendly and have parental locks on them so they can't play M rated games.

Nintendo is very good for kids in my opinion. the Wii U has tons of E rated to T titles that are safe for a child's entertainment. the Wii U also comes with some friendly adult stuff to like work out and exercise activities. Id recommend you get one if you have the cash, it's very good for living rooms.

The Wii U is downward compatible to the Wii, and I think there are tons of Wii games, which would work pretty well for a preschooler, wii-mote control and stuff...
