Anybody looking to buy Far Cry 4 for PC?

Anybody waiting on Reviews for Far Cry 4 for PC?

Well too FUCKING BAD because apparently Ubisoft are not handing out review copies until launch day.

And guess what else.

Apparently there is a huge day one patch to download too.

Gee, Doesn't that sound familiar!

This is a very scary thought, and a sad one because i was thinking of picking up Far Cry 4 because i thought it looked very interesting and fun. If these big developers and publishers don't stop releasing half baked fucking games to appease the shareholders we are going to have another video game market crash!

To be fair, this doesn't automatically mean that a game is bad, as TB says in this video:

Yeah it doesn't mean the game is bad but coming off the back of Unity people sure as hell should be suspicious.

May be even refrain from preordering the game.

No, but when a game has been hyped to hell and back several times and they reviews only come out after the game launch, it's a very bad sign.

Remember Ubisofts track record though... They literally just did this with another game that was technically broken.

I still reserve judgement until it's out. It's not like I'm going to buy it any time soon anyway. Joe and Boogie seemed to like the part that Ubisoft let them play. As for the demo that I was able to try out at that public event a few weeks ago, it just felt like Farcry 3 with more animals, and enemies with helicopters and mortars, so I'm not in a rush.

As for Unity, to my understanding Review Copies were sent out before the embargo date and people just can't release videos about it until said embargo ended. Not entirely the same, but pretty close, I'll give you guys that.

And that is why I wont buy any Ubisoft games anymore. Bullshit DRM, bad PC ports, calling us all a bunch of pirates, Uplay.

Egh, Far Cry 3 was fine and this is running a heavily modified version of that engine, I don't see there being a problem.

What does Far Cry 4 have to do with Phone Data?

Super fishy. I mean EA gave review copies of DA: Inquisition to reviewers, and for a week now reviews have been up, almost all positive.  No doubt in my mind Far Cry 4 will be a good game, but the stability concerns me.

It COULD be a smooth 30FPS but due to a certain game who says it can't dip WAY below that?

To be fair, this doesn't automatically mean that a game is bad, as TB says in this video:

Agreed, it's not a guarantee that the game will be bad.

But the last game Ubisoft published that had an embargo set hours after release date is still broken.

Also, he has said he wouldn't accept such deals anymore:

And that he hasn't received his copy yet:

So, there are many reasons to be wary.

The review copy being given post-release. Does NOT automatically mean bad game, but it raises serious eyebrows and red flags. And with Ubisoft history its no wonder why people are comming the conclusion that it is bad. Its their own actions that is making people draw such conclusions.

Like EA, Ubisoft will not let critic review the games from Ubisoft unless we will have to wait for few days after the game is released. Then we will review the Ubisoft.

To be honest though. Far Cry 4 will most likely be better optimized then Unity.

Unity was a badly optimized mess, and everyone who had tried it out before release had said that the game runs sluggish and had bugs. While Far Cry 4 had people playing it and coming out with positive impressions. And as much as I've seen from footage on youtube, the game didn't seem to be running at a too low of a framerate.. Which Is positive I've gotta say. The game itself seems to follow the same Far Cry 3 overworld style with just more stuff.

But like people have said, we need to wait for the reviews to come out before we buy it. If you pre-order this shit and it turns out to be shit. Then it was you being an idiot who bought into Ubisoft's marketing (But seriously is it possible to buy into Ubisofts marketing in this point and time? Ubisoft has been a joke for the last 2 years.)

Though I still remember the great Far Cry 3 marketing campaign.. I wonder what happened to those guys who thought of that?
