It's coming to the PC when finished and will be free, this is just fans working on this for the love of it, so that will hopefull keep Nintendo's interent "fuck you! " away from this.

They even plan to include multiplayer and maye some stuff from the DS port as well.

Here's AOS's thoughts on the prject, he goes into a bit more detail than the article does.

I'm really existed about this. The developer has said this project will be finished because they have "more contributors than they know how to handle", so this appears to be well funded. I just hope they include controller support to make it feel as much like the original as possible.

Honestly it looks good, unlike recent remasters like Ducktales Remastered.

I think an HD remake of Super Mario 64 can be good, you would just need to update the mechanics of the game. Cause lets face it, compared to modern day platformers, especially its predecessors, 64 would need an overhaul to compete (especially the camera controls, dear GOD the camera controls).

Or they could do what Microsoft Games did and just shove the outdated product (Age of Empires 2) with a 60$ price tag.

I would feel dirty playing a Nintendo game on anything that isn't on a Nintendo console...

But still thats cool. Props to the guy.

Actually I think it's ONLY the camera controls that would need tweaking, and it should be mentioned that whilst they were basic they were not that bad- in fact SM64 had some of the genuinely best camera controlls around for early 3D games, hell people were still getting it wrong 10 years later.
