Problems Installing Origin

5 posts in this topic

Hi there.

I just did a clean install on my PC just to clear it out and sort out some software issues which I had been having.

All is working well, however when I try to install Origin, I get a message saying:

Your update could not be completed. Please go to this link and download this installer instead.

So I uninstall the version I used, tried the one they linked me, but still get the same message.

Anyone know what is happening here? And how to sort it out?

Thanks. :)

Managed to fix it. Used CCleaner to sort registry, and restarted my PC.

Would delete the topic, but not sure how.

You can report it to have it removed. Just make sure you enter your reasoning so the mods know you're just removing as the topic is no longer relevant.

I don't see any benefit in deleting the topic.

Someone may have the same issue and this solution you found could help them.
