New Fire Emblem Announced.

9 posts in this topic

3DS owners, rejoice!

Fire Emblem IF!

I can't say IF it'll be good, but I hope it's a good waifu simulator like its previous installment, Awakening.

It looks interesting. Putting some european style into (or in this case, it looks it'll be against) an orient themed world. But IF it'll work out well, I'm not sure.

Other tid bits (not sure IF the source is credible).

I haven't played Fire Emblem in ages. Good to see it still going.

Please be better than Awakening and stop letting us create our own massively overpowered game breaking character like we could in 12 and 13.

Grinding isn't a thing in most SRPGs. The only exceptions I can think of is the Shining Force series, Fire Emblem 8 (Sacred Stones), and Tactics style games like Tactics Ogre, Disgaea, and Final Fantasy Tactics. Being able to grind would remove the whole strategy element from the genre. You're never really over or underpowered during the early and mid game in Fire Emblem series, usually keeping the game at a perfect balance to have good gameplay, then nearing the end you become massively overpowered (always been a problem with the series and grinding would make it a lot worse).

I'm still trying to get my hands on Awakening... and would it be safe to assume the veiled lass from the trailer is the series' attempt at keeping Dancer class alive?
