Is Assassin's Creed Unity playable on PC yet?

Hi, I have already played Assassin's Creed Unity and thought it was ok, but I really want to get the game on PC to see how it runs on my PC, and I think it will look better on my PS4. But I see reviews on steam saying that it isn't playable on PC yet, is it good to play now?

i tried it with all the updates and its still unplayable for me.

unity runs on a mid-range pc with around 30 fps in high quality at 1080p which is equal to the x1/ps4 version.

btw. unity runs on xbox one and ps4 in 900p.

in my opinion unity runs crap on any system. the ps4 version doesnt even use an anisotropical filter 

 

if you play it on pc install the newest gpu drivers first.

I don't want to like sound as an idiot(maybe), but go to Totalbiscuit on youtube and find his thoughts on AC:U - he always plays on PC and I know that one of his new videos talked a bit more about Unity. Something like Missed games of 2014...don't know the exact name. But it will give you  a good picture how Unity runs

It's been my impression that the latest patches have broken SLI functionality, beyond that I wouldn't know as I don't play it.

Latest comments from TB about it (on a cooptional) was that the game requires SLI to be playable (his standards are way high), and that the latest patch broke SLI so that it all water flickers.

So, you can run a GPU for low framerates and effects and glitch a bit or run SLI for smoother gameplay with risk of seizures. Your choice.

Yes its true and it did it in the oddest way... FMV's. Yep... the videos crash the game but only a few. It was something to do with the autosave fmv and the intro ones or something like that. If you search on Google for "Assassin's Creed Unity SLI fix 1.4" it'll show you what files to rename/delete and it'll work again.

It is a lot more playable than before from what I hear... but it still needs work. Just buy the season pass for AC Black Flag and play that instead. It's cheaper and AC Black Flag was insanely fun.
