Dragons Dogma Online

19 posts in this topic

Dragons Dogma Online has been announced for PC, PS4 and PS3. It will be a free to play title that will rely on micro-transactions to make its money. These micro transaction have not been disclosed as of yet tho. The Player will have 4 player parties contain AI or Human based players and the lobbies have said to contain 100 players. What do you think of this announcement?

As it'll be free i have no problem trying it out but whether or not i keep playing will entirely depend on the micro transactions.

I was wondering what happened to deep down, It suppose it became this. I like though, if we get cross platform play, it'll be even better. Just please Capcom, do NOT fall into the "pay to win" trap on this!

Apparently Deep downn is still a thing tho, so this and deep down are on their F2P list :/.

*Sidelong glance at Elder Scrolls Online*

Some things should remain single-player.

I'm just saying.

I was excited 'Dragon Dogma news, oh please sequel!' then it turned into dismay when I figured out online but hey maybe it can work, oh then the fact it's a free MMORPG... There goes all my excitement out the window. Granted it still could be good but with it being f2p might mean p2w.

I doubt you would be able to "try it out" , seeing as Capcom have said that it won't be releasing in the west!!!

That's not a bad looking game from the trailer (granted its just a trailer of clips of a game.) For a F2P it does look great, I am interested to keep an eye on it. But still uncertain of its fate cause of Capcom being the helm of it. We still have yet to see what Capcom will be like with a F2P title.

Remember their DLC... the horror...

It might be coming to the west, Capcom haven't ruled it out permanently plus you can just make a Japanese account, just have to struggle through the menus for a short while.

I'll totally play this when it comes out. I loved Dragon's Dogma, even with the flaws it had. If they can fix those in this online version, holy crap.

Wait... why would anyone want to make a multiplayer of a game that was hold by its singleplayer the first time around?

I am not holding my breath for this thing to be good. Is like anything has multiplayer these days... and I am not sold. I didn't pick the original Dragon's Dogma to play its non existing multiplayer features.

Why can't they make another singleplayer RPG and then place this multiplayer as an option? Like Dragon Age Inquisition did. So I can play the singleplayer and ignore the multiplayer option.

I heard and read from some sources that Dragons Dogma 2 has been confirmed to be a project but we probably wont see any real progress for some time. An interview with a producer on the dragons dogma online game has explained that the company will be focusing on the release in japan first since both the bulk of the popularity and the headquarter of Capcom are located there. But the producers of the games did say that the potential for release in North America  is a good possibility if the game is received  well in japan.

so we will all have to sit back and wait to see if we get the game but lets hope that we get some more news on the game soon.

I loved playing Dragon's Dogma (and Dark Arisen), so if it has the same kind of gameplay and music similar to the 2 games, I'll be down for it :D

Capcom has comfirmed that Dragon's Dogma Online will run at 1080p, 60fps on PS4 (but it isn't locked to 60fps).

Also confirmed, there will be support for cross-platform play across PS4, PS3 and PC.

As it currently stands, Dragon's Dogma Online has only been confirmed for release in Japan (Release: TBA).
