Fallout 4 dreams?

34 posts in this topic

if your like me then you often find yourself dreaming about a new fallout title. lol.

after all the recent fallout 4 rumor speculation and hoaxes this year our lovely friend the internet has made its duty to fill every fallout 4 search with as much click bait as possible. literally every twelve hours a new article is posted making up its own rumors and repeating the old ones........ over and over again.........

Bethesda hasn't confirmed or denied anything ( except for some rumors) about a new fallout.

personally I hope Bethesda takes as much time as need with their next game........( hope to god its fallout)

so anyone want to share what they would like or expect of  the next fallout game on next gen consoles?

I want one where there's actual after-story content and missions to continue on.

Me personally, I'd like to see some new factions. I'd also like some ties with Caesar's Legion and NCR like they did with the Brotherhood of Steel in New Vegas mainly because I loved the way they portrayed both factions. Don't get me wrong I don't want anything BIG ... Rather something small like NCR expansion or the Legion trying to gain more territory.

heard some rumors about the next main character being scripted which I would personally hate. I think it adds to the immersion if the character isn't voice acted.

If it takes place in Boston, as the rumors have hinted, I want Fenway Park as an area in the game that has a giant super-mutant running around named "The Green Monster". Said mutant drops a unique baseball bat melee weapon called the "Splendid Splinter" that deals bonus damage when targetting heads in VATS and gives the player the Bloody Mess perk when equipped.

Everyone's having their wants and what-not, and I'm just sitting here, waiting for the next Fallout game to come out and be as fun as New Vegas (despite me cheating like a little whore).

You mean like fallout 3 dlc?

Because that's all we got in after story in fallout 3.

I honestly want better armor choices.  I want armor that's not as bulky as power armor but has all the same attributes.  I always preferred regular bullets over the energy weapons and it was wierd watching my character in power armor wielding a repeater lol.

A harsher environment would be nice. I never played New Vegas so I only know about Fallout 3.

But here's my mustard anyway:

For example the radiation of many, many places except the one Super Mutant infested Vault was a joke. You could stay minutes

without Rad-X and Rad-Aways in these spots before you eventually die.

Also, what about radioactive rain that varies in strength which will effects on your vision and dish out radiation? Or the negative effect that if you receive to much radiation (800+ of 1000 Radiation), you'll start to create your own radiation which will

eventually kill, or make a Ghoul out of you (you know, like the Ghouls from underworld).

Which then reverses the effects of the radiation. So your Rad-Away and other radiation remover might actually kill you and you regenerate your life quicker the more radiation you have. You are a Ghoul after all. This Ghoulification leads to different

standings to the various factions like the BOS, NCR and maybe even the Enclave and has some other negative effects, like not

being able to join any of these factions.

But my greatest dream would be that my followers would talk to each other when they get a chance.

Have you played Knights of the old Republic I and II? Then you should have a vague idea what I exactly mean.

That's it. Mustard's gone. Gonna grab some more.

I hope Fallout 4 turns out be a bit more similar to Fallout 3 than Fallout: NV. One of the things that I didn't like about Fallout: NV is that was too colourful and cheerful to be post-apocalyptic, I mean come on, there was not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 casinos. Can anyone tell me how is that post-apocalyptic, I also had mixed feeling about NV's story, It had it's moments but it didn't really get me engaged enough.

My dream for Fallout 4 has always been for someone other than Bethesda to be the developer, and for someone else to be the publisher so they could have enough time with development and not get paid less based on a metacritic average.

That's how Fallout is supposed to be

I want it so you can play turn-based battles for real like in 1 and 2. VATS is a damn scam, I dont know why they fucked it up so bad. Valkyria chronicles basically does what VATS should have been.

I think I to would be cool if I took place in New York City, Tall ass building lining on each other full of raiders ready to be cooked and eaten and one part of the city could be submerged in the radioactive ocean and the only way around is on shifty bridges going from building to building, I think I would be cool

Also I want the map to really big, because I'm a asshole.

I know that fallout is supposed to have a cheerful 50's feeling to it, but (at least in my opinion) Fallout: NV has gone overboard with, I mean come on, 5 casinos? really?

I think that NV's problem wasn't over doing it, it was that it was under done in other areas, like the top left of the map is just about completely useless to the plot, theme and lore of the game, there are no quests that lead you over there, no lore related anythings all there is, is a farmhouse full of a few jokes. there a a good number of other locations like this elsweyr in the game.

The bland parts make the notable parts (like the 5 casinos) stand out much more then they should.

I wish the guys at Obsidian would at least write it, since writing has never been Bethesda's strong suit. There's a snowball's chance in hell of that ever happening, though. I'm not even sure Obsidian's going to get another spin-off game, let alone be allowed to write a main entry in the series.

Here's how the work should be split up (at least in my opinion):

Gameplay: 100% Bethesda

Writing & voice acting: 100% Obsidian

Story & quests: 20% Bethesda, 80% Obsidian

Graphics, animations & sound design: 500% Crytech (that's IF Bethesda can convince them to work with them, if not then it should be 100% Obsidian)

World design: 150% Bethesda

Publishing & marketing: 100% Bethesda

Oh yeah, not really specific to fallout so much as any customizeable sandboxish game... But I would LOVE a game that not only encouraged modding like skyrim, but made efforts to make it easy too. I mean extra easy. For rxample you could play as another character from another game simply by "imporing" the files. Being able to implrt Umodels and Pmd/Pmx files, and xnal files, and any other character filetype that can be rigged in-file.

I hear that games made with unity can use pmd/pmx files but they don make it easy to see how, nor do they really welcome the player to imo.

Ya give NV a shot if you want a touch of realism. There was a game play mode where it turned the game into a literal survival experience. Being a desert, you needed to keep yourself hydrated and fed, as well as find shelter when needed. You didn't have the luxury to romp around the wasteland like Superman. Sure, you could turn this option off, but for the hardcore realism fans this was as close to what you're wanting as possible, I'd say give NV a shot and try this game mode out.

I just want a new fallout game period. It's been a few years since I've stepped into the wasteland. Don't get me wrong, I loved Skyrim for all its fantasy glory, but something about Fallout fit my tastes a little more. I couldn't applaud Bethesda more for purchasing this franchise, It was such a great move for the company.

The main character wont really have any lines, something like that would only exist for casting other characters. I saw what the script supposedly said. It was a narration about what happened before the end of the Great War, and if it is real it could not have any connection to the player's character unless it has some ancestral tie-in or goes back to 2098 when the first Vaults opened.

In Fallout 3's Mothership Zeta DLC you could see Europe under a green, radioactive storm. And you can also shoot a big ass laser into the Canadian Wasteland.
