Will the next Dragon Age visit Tevinter?

15 posts in this topic

Just seems like we have seen all Thedas has to offer, so I think we should be getting a new setting. Tevinter seems interesting because it flips many things we think we know about dragon age when it comes to the chantry mages and Templars who operate differently than those in thedas. I suggest you try speaking to Dorian at skyhold in inquisition because he has some interesting things to say about it. Also maybe we will be dealing with slavers and introducing ourselves to new areas and factions. Probably where I would like the next dragon age.

thoughts?

Yeah . It would be definitively be interesting. In fact, we never see the country of the north of thedas. Next DA is a should must to have .

TBH, I doubt that Bioware will survive for long enough to make another DA (don't get me wrong I loved DA:I, it was my GOTY of 2014), I'm just hoping that EA doesn't kill Bioware.

Nothing yet has indicated something like that. EA may kill their developers often, but only when a developer's games are starting to decrease in quality. BioWare has just finished making their biggest game yet, and it's just as successful as EA probably wanted. BioWare is one of EA's biggest developers; I think we needn't worry.

We still have the expansions to DA:I to look forward to. We may see tevinter there. And as far as bioware there's been talk floating around about a Mass Effect 4 so I doubt they're going to shut down.

A new mass effect was basically confirmed last year when bioware interviewed people working on it and you could see artists working on concept art in the video

Hopefully we do get some glimpse of Tevinter and come to think of it we haven't been to Nevarra yet either ?

Par vollen would be frigging sweet too... assuming it wasn't in DA 2 dlc... was too disappointed with 2 to get the dulcimer* for it

*dlc... auto correct nonsense

We've only seen the southern 2 countries really.

Par Volen and Tevinter would both be awesome, though I have some trouble imagining what kind of advanture could possibly happen in the Quinary home land. The lack of individuality contradicts the Bioware form of storytelling to much.

That would probably only limit something set IN Par Volen though. Maybe a story where you visit it? How about something set around the Quinary/Tevinter conflict?

That's kinda what I was thinking. Maybe pick one faction or another to help. It'd sure as hell increase the replayability... not that dragon age needed any more

I'm hoping that with the expansions to DAI we'll see a lot more of the story open up (the ending was a definite cliffhanger, to be sure, and I'd like to see that expanded on). :)

With the next Dragon Age...I wouldn't mind seeing Tevinter, either...I just hope that they don't give too many side missions and such to do. There were some times when I felt VERY overwhelmed.

I don't think they are going to expand to much on the Elven god thing in Inquisition. It just feels to big for DLC.

It's probably going to either be the theme of the next game, or used as a red thread in future games

I can see them doing that as well. As long as they expand on that in some way, I have no problems.

felt dragon age inquisition had a lot of filler missions. I would rather have had a handful of linear missions with good storys and choices like dragon age origins and 2

I would love to visit the Anderfelt and Tevinter but I doubt it will make much difference. They will all speak English of some sort and the world is not that open as you might want it to be. Still my vote goes to the Anderfelt.
