IntoTheVortex - First Impressions and General Rambaling

Welcome:

I welcome the day that this doesn't feel like I dive into the flames, though I suspect that will never come. In regards to the links below; No Holds Barred is a first impressions series looking at recent/firly recent releases whilst Collectors Archive will be a look at/critiqe of games past.

Be warrned however. I have no idea what I'm doing here for the most part and though I try to keep production as high as I can, don't expect anything at the same outstanding quality as Joe's content. I have a long way to go with this after all.

I chose to watch your ACC:C video. For the most part you cover the game quite well. You do repeat some things which isn't always a bad thing. However, I think you need to just find what fits you when reviewing a title. All in all I think you did well. I think there are a few things you can improve upon but that will come with time and experience. For instance, I think you would benefit from including your own personal value of a game in the review somewhere. Just something to explain if the game is worth the time or money one would have to spend in order to buy it and to play it to its completion.

Edit: Also, as for production quality I think it is fantastic. Your review doesn't have to have crazy special effects to be effective. If you want a good intro and outro then that is something to work on as you continue making content. But for now I think your quality is fine. Just be confident in what you say and don't be hesitant to speak your own personal opinions about the game.

Thanks for the feedback, it honestly means a lot to me. I completely agree with the points you've made as well, though, as you rightly said, it will all come with time and experience and considering I've only done this for two weeks (at least in terms of videos and this current format) I suspect I have a long road ahead of me.

In terms of special effects, I don't think I will ever have them in the vast majority of my videos. What i want is to show the viewers the pure game play, giving them the best possible standing point in deciding to give the game covered a try or not. Adding special effects all over the place, I feel, would take away from that. Its also why I tried to keep everything completely to the fact when talking about the game though I'm starting to see now that it also needs that human element, that personal opinion, to help give a balanced critique.

Ether way, still plenty of helpful points to help me in improving. You have my thanks Eiousx ^^.
