PC Community so lonely :(

23 posts in this topic

Hi, I am Dodge Ram1500. I have been is the community when Planetside 2 on PC was popular. I am a regular kid (15 year old) that try to find people to play with. But right now the PC community (for me) has been so lonely. Why? Just because Planetside 2 is down doesn't mean the community has to go quite. I notice that that the PS4 community of the ASJA have been recently more active just by watching the Youtube videos. But I don't get it. Are there any problems with the PC community?

Reply this post with what system you are playing, so I can see the diffence between console and PC.

I understand that people have a life and they want to make it better. But for those who are like me, In summer and no school. Try to be a leader and make the PC community more active :)

Dont post anything that PC is better that console because I didnt said that!!!!

We do have folks who are PC gamers and there's also the hybrid PC/console users (AJ included) around here. I am nearly 100% PC user and follow /pcmasterrace/ on Reddit but I know to respect console users who return the favor. I'm not much of a leader personally but more of a follower.

I don't have specific numbers, but I think it could be that most PC players are more active via Steam (AJSA group, chat, friends list) than the forums.

Also, rather than having a PC community or a Console community, there is the general forums, and there are game-specific forums.

I can guess two reasons: 1) Laziness and 2) Lack of interest

It's only natural for the PC community to be a little quiet atm. They're all playing Arkham Knight on PS4. ^_^

Oh, burn! BURN MOTHAFACKAHS!

I know the feeling. PC gaming I feel more isolated from everyone, while on the console it feels closer, but people still don't seem to talk like they use to.

I simply do not have any multi-player PC games, at least none worth mentioning. As for teamspeak, I just feel rude if I am in a channel and not playing the game the others are. So I rarely log in.

I play on both PC and console, but am not too big on multiplayer, unless it's an MMO or mandatory.

3) irl stuff/commitments

Also checking in during times where no events are going on or games that we support that do have people playing in them might support their own chat system.

I notice that that the PS4 community of the ASJA have been recently more active just by watching the Youtube videos. But I don't get it.

That's meeee.

The reason you don't see more stuff from other communities on there is because nobody gets me footage.

As far as PC gaming goes, check out the EF. We do a new game every month to keep things mixed up.

Come play Final Fantasy XIV. Both PC and PS4 players together on the same servers :)

Attendance has been a bit light for a while but there's a dedicated few who are on daily.

I'm 99.99% only pc gamer and 00.01% gta5 on ps3 gamer.

I play mostly single player games but any fps I play on-line. I have teamspeak and go on when ever there is an event but I have no mic because of laziness. I'll get a new one at stage. Most likely when I'm going to upgrade the pc again for star citizen.

Profile is in my sig if you want to add me

I wish ESO didn't suck as bad as it did...because I love and miss you all! But ESO blew. I haven't been impressed by any current MMOs...but I'm desperately awaiting SW Battlefront and maybe someday I might see EQ Next be released. I'm an MMO girl. Preferably MMO PvP ;) . But I've had too much going on with real life commitments to be around...

Hasn't ESO improved though?

I was very curious about how ESO has changed since it was released... especially when its going to drop its subs along with Wildstar.  Also, have you tried GW2?

If you mean general activity on the forums then it's because mainly everyone hangs out in the General Section. There is also a few threads in the PC Gaming sub-forums from time to time, but in general console and PC guys and gals are active on forums, just in other parts of it.

If you mean Teamspeak 3, well that's kind of complicated. Lots of people don't come to TS3 unless there is a reason or they are playing a game that AJSA supports and then they join. Lot of them are maybe shy and don't come unless invited or they see an empty room and they don't go in because it's empty, but point is that's how more people start coming.

For some games, although many members are part of AJSA, still many of them have real life or more friends outside of AJSA that they want to spend a lot of time with. That's a big thing in MOBA and League where I play. Hard to get all members together since they either don't play the game or play with their friends, and with the game supporting only 4 other people in the team (including you), then you can't join them.

I noticed in MMOs like in GW2, the guild is active in game like the chat and stuff but they come on TS3 mainly on major events, but there are always a few even when nothing is happening. So it really depends on the game. AJSA on PC is more popular than you think, it's just that TS3 is mostly quiet.

i am rarely on AJSA Teamspeak. Why? because Timezone are bitches. When I am online, there is almost nobody else on.
