Greetings

The last time i played ESO was during the beta, and it was fucking horrendous. I never bought the game, which was a good thing considering little to none of the reported problems from the beta was fixed in the final version of the game. Something Joe pointed out very well in his review of the game.

My opinion from a year ago was that as a F2P or B2P game it was average at best, but as a sub game it was absolute trash.

But now that it has been b2p for a few months i'm considering to give it a second chance.

So how is the game holding up?

Has the numerous problems been fixed? (Watch Joe's review if you want to know some of the problems i'm referring to)

Is the game balanced for people who don't pay the optional sub fee or buy stuff with IRL money? (P2W)

Also

Is there a chance Joe or some of the officers (Delrith, SGT Ross, T0nsofun, etc) will make a quick youtube lets play video or a small twitch stream revisiting the game and sharing their thoughts about the game in its current state?

Appreciate any constructive response to this thread :)

I can't say I have played it since (also from the the beta) but I have heard it has improved a lot since the beginning. Unfortunately I do not have specifics to give you.

ESO HAS IMPROVED SIGNIFICANTLY since the ajsa has more or less left the game officialy i believe.

Pros-------

- More story had been added through updates

- More interesting story

- less lag issues

- New perks

- Not a pay to win anymore

- Free to play -- although not sure if its just On consoles

Cons---------

- less player status in PVP & PVE realm

- Server somtimes restarts when your in a dungeon

- Some (only) cool gear

I personally am a loyal member to the ESO community and still get on from time to time with a maxed out account (almost)

Rate-8.4/10

I would try it out but with friends if you have no one to play it with I suggest you let this game slide

ESO isn't Free to play. It's Buy to play if im not mistaken

And on consoles you need to pay a monthly for PS+ and Xbox live gold.

Speaking for the XBOX 1 the game is exellent. The control scheme is fantastic and amazingly responsive and the PvPs REMARKABLY stable for a console MMO. I played a little on PC and thought it was a good 7/10 there just because it played and controlled just like any other PC MMO. On console it's more like an 8.5.

Used to be that my opinion was "If it's not WoW, stay away from it.", but even WoW is an awful subscription-based game now. Blizzard can easily go F2P even on WoW, but they choose not to. That game is 11 years old for gods sake! I've been hearing good things about GW2 at least, but I haven't bothered to try it myself.

As for ESO, i wouldn't recommend it unless you're a true hardcore fan of Elder Scrolls games. It's somewhat decent at best. And if you do buy it, get it for PC. From my experience, console MMO's are horrid, no matter which one you're buying.

I have the same question because I love elder scrolls so much and have always wanted it online. But I can't really justify the monthly costs for something that only looked okay.

Do u guys think it is now worth 15/month?

The game runs beautifully on X1. There are still a couple of bugs here and there but it's stable and the game voice chat is exellent.
