Best Graphic Card for Streaming under $200

7 posts in this topic

A few months ago I updated my PC, except for the graphic card because I was out of money

Now that I have money, I need a good video card, something that can stream War Thunder at 720 in 30fps.

my current build is:

Intel Core i3-4160 Haswell

Antec EA450 450W

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

http://www.newegg.co...8-544-_-Product

BIOSTAR Hi-Fi H81S2 LGA 1150 Intel H81

When asking about upgrades those many months ago, CookieArcher spoke of a mystical software called "Shadowplay" which sounds useful but only for Nvidia.

He also prescribed this. Knowing that thing can become outdated rather fast, is this thing still good?

My current card is a Radon HD 6570

Really, it isn't just the GPU that will take some load, but the CPU as well, which is why, if you can, you should forget the i3 and go for an i5

Would getting a I5 be more important then a new GPU?

R9 280 is  still a  pretty decent card, about on par and or better than a 960, depending on whether it's the X version or not.

As for the CPU over a new GPU I couldn't say as I've never streamed.

Edit: Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure AMD has a "beta" video recorder, not sure if it's useful for streaming or not though.

if you stream via the CPU you need 4C/8T just like an i7 or FX8xxx.

streaming on an i5 has already a FPS impact.

go for a 4GB GTX 960 and use shadowplay for streaming. shadowplay hast zero performance impact.

if a game wont stream via shadowplay in fullscreen (older games) use the windowed mode and stream the entire desktop.

One problem, whats the point of streaming if you cant have any notification system?, or see if you get a follower? your not going to get many viewers by using shadowplay. most people use OBS like myself or xplit.

Even then, it is almost a necessity to have a Dual Screen setup for streaming for that reason alone.
