Good morning everyone,

We're in the last stretch of August! We're approaching the end of the Summer but we're not slowing down by any means.

This week we're featuring Destiny, Minecraft, Halo: Master Chief Collection, and Overwatch! On days where we don't have events, keep an eye out for game night notices in the AJSA Xbox One Club. Any questions concerning the scheduled events? Reach out to any of the hosts and they will be happy to help you.

Keep an eye out for updates concerning September activities this week as well. Updates will be posted to the forums.

Hello all,

Hope you're enjoying your Labor Day weekend. Summer is over, though the gaming never ends.

Below I'm going to provide an outline of what to expect in September with concerns to what games we're featuring as events and other projects we're working on. Enjoy!

September 2017 Game Plan

  • Destiny 2 - Our inaugural event will be on Tuesday September 12th, 2017 at 7:00pm EST. We then plan to hold regular Destiny 2 events every Tuesday from that point forward. During launch week we will be actively playing this game (the game releases on September 6th) so don't hesitate to reach out to our Game Sergeant, MasterfulJoe101, to squad up and play. Also, keep an eye out for Club Parties and LFG Notices in the AJSA Club to find fellow members to game with.
  • Minecraft - Due to popular support and demand from members, Minecraft is returning in September in our weekly event rotation. We will meet up to game every Thursday night this month (excluding Thursday the 7th) to play and build in our community server.
  • Battlefield - Our Battlefield events are returning full force in September. We have several Battlefield 1 events scheduled this month along with a special Battlefield 3 game night on the 22nd. Battlefield 3 will be free to download later this month as part of Games with Gold. Any and all are welcome to play!
    • We also plan to have a Forza Motorsport 5 event later this month. Forza 5 is part of the Games with Gold program as well. Stay tuned for details.
  • Overwatch - Our community favorite Overwatch events are also returning in September with meets up scheduled every Saturday night this month. Our Officer and host for Overwatch, WookieJedi, always is open to new ideas to form/create new custom game modes.
  • Warframe - The Angry Army Warframe Guild on Xbox One will be holding an event on September 17th at 7:00pm EST with Guildmaster Foxhart leading the event activities for the night. This is an opportunity for folks on Xbox to come play and experience the game in an orgnanized group setting. Our Warframe Guild is active and groups play regularly during off-event hours, so if you want to get involved with the Guild before the public event please don't hesitate to contact our Guildmaster on Xbox Live or on the forums @Foxhart.
  • Other Events - In September we also plan to hold events for games such as GTA Online, Titanfall 2, and COD: Black Ops I & II. These events will be held during towards the middle of the month.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you all for an amazing Summer. I look forward to the many great adventures ahead as we close out 2017.

Cya at the events,

- Rune

Good afternoon all,

As a reminder for this week for Battlefield 3...for those interested in participating, please know that the install is over 33GB. If your download speed is slow, please allow enough time for the game to install so you can start playing with us right away on Friday night.

That or if you still have your Xbox 360 hooked up and don't want to re-install it on the Xbox One, you can still play with us from the Xbox 360! Add me or Melon (Gamertags listed in the OP of this thread) on your friends list on the Xbox 360. We can then add you and will be able to send you invites to our gaming session.

Have any other questions? Reach out to any of the hosts listed in the schedule if you want additional information on upcoming events.

Have fun this week and good gaming!

Hey all,

Please note that there will be no formal Destiny 2 event this coming Tuesday in observation of the Halloween holiday.

Speaking of Halloween...thank you to all who came out and participated this past weekend during our Halloween themed weekend of events. Ton of fun playing together on GTA, Overwatch, and Minecraft! The response was great and I'm happy you all had a fun time.

Hey all,

The 'Weekly Event' schedule for this week is now live. We hope you can join us!

A quick note to all we're having a small change with Tuesday. In observance of the latest 'Global Event' on The Division, we're going to hold a special event for that game so we can go through that content together as a group. The Division has been a popular 'Game Nights' title for us on Xbox for the past two months, so we're happy to bring it to the forefront and have it featured as an event this week.

Have fun & good gaming!

Aloha!

The event schedule for this week is now live. We will not have any scheduled events for Saturday night due to an Xbox team meeting. We hope you understand!

We're ending January, and starting off February, with some familiar titles. We're bringing back The Divison once again this week to wrap up 'Ambush' content. We're also bringing COD: World War II to the forefront as an event to tackle the 'Resistance' and then on Friday we're bringing back Battlefield 1! It is going to be quite the historical experience, with us heading to both World War I and II. Hope you can join us!

Next week we will put out our full February Xbox event outline. As always, keep an eye on the AJSA Club for notices for Game Nights and other meet ups. Thank you!

Good morning!

Thanks to all who took advantage of the Overwatch and Rainbow Six: Siege free to play promotions over the weekend! It was nice to see/hear how many took advantage of the oppportunity and got to participate during our Overwatch event and Siege game night.

This week we're heading back to COD: World War II to see through the last part of the Resistance seasonal event. We're also going to open up the Minecraft community world up again to continue our adventure from last week and establish a furnished outpost in the underwater Sea Palace we cleared out.

We're pleased to showcase Halo: Master Chief Collection this Friday night. It's been awhile, but I'm confident we'll get a good group up and have a great time.

Overwatch continues to rock our Saturday nights, so don't miss out on all the fun.

Remember to keep watch on the Xbox Club as all our Game Night notices are posted there. Current plans are to hold two Games Night this week with one on Wednesday night and the other Sunday night. Stay tuned!

Have a great week,

- Rune

Hello and welcome to the first full week of March events on Xbox!

We have an action packed week lined up for you. Our complete monthly outline is also ready to be presented to you. We have a lot of projects going on in March, it'll be very busy and fun. We hope you can join us in this adventure. Let's take a look at what's coming up:

This Week In Preview [Mar. 6th to 10th]

To start off the first full week we have games such as Fortnite, Minecraft, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Overwatch leading the charge as events. We're also featuring Halo 5: Guardians and Destiny 2 as Game Nights! We hope you can join us.

Future of Minecraft Nights

Minecraft has grown and established itself as an institution in the Xbox community. We've been featuring Xbox events for this game for nearly 3 years now. We're all very happy where Minecraft is right now and how well our community world is performing. Thank you for all for making Minecraft Nights so great and amazng.

On Xbox, we're in a unique situtation. There are essentially two different 'Minecraft' games on Xbox One. There is the standard 'Xbox One Edition' and just 'Minecraft', the new version of the game released late last year. We've been operating on the Xbox One Edition for years and the world we're currently in was established in August 2017. Sadly, the Xbox One Edition has limitations mainly in the area of item caps (banners, paintings, item frames, armor stands).

Due to high activity and constant construction, we're hitting numerous item caps. We also have more people who want to play in the events than the world can hold (the XB1 Edition can only hold 8 people max at one time). The new version of Minecraft has no limits and we can even upload our current world to the new version, so we don't lose anything. It seems like a no-brainer, but we have people who have reservations about switching (UI issues on the new version, stability etc).

Thanks to feedback and suggestions from members, we're going to hold a special event on March 15th at 7:00pm EST for the new version of Minecraft. We're going to test out all the new features and have a group discussion on where we want to go with Minecraft Nights. Continue with the XB1 Edition, or prepare to transition to the new version? Minecraft Nights have always been about bringing the community closer. This is a great opportunity for us as a community to rally, discuss, and decide together what to do. I want to hear from you. Cya there.

Sea of Thieves

The AJSA on Xbox sets sail for the high seas this March! We've been preparing for this for a long time, we're ready to play. Join us on Tuesday March 20th for a special 'Launch Party' get-together for Sea of Thieves, then meet up for our Inaugural Event for Sea of Thieves on Friday night March 23rd. This will be a new community featured title for us to play and meet up weekly in events. We're excited to make our mark on this new title and set the foundation for the many funny/silly/awesome adventures to come.

We're awaiting news on if there will be any sort of Clan/Guild system in the game. If there is, we'll have a thread set up in the forums outlining our clan info. Remember, for those who wish to take part in the Inaugural Event but don't have the funds right away to buy the game right away, don't worry. If you have the Xbox Game Pass, you can access the game right away or if you have yet to use your 14 Day Free Trial for the Xbox Game Pass, you can use it and get instant access to the game to participate in the event if you so wish. No pressure!

May the AJSA Pirate Flag fly high above our foes and the loot be generous and plentiful!

AJSA Special Operation

On Saturday March 31st at 6pm EST, join us for our first AJSA Special Operation of 2018! We're changing things up a bit this year when it comes to Special Operations. This time around, each Division is featuring a title of their choice to best represent their community and showcase the best of what they have to offer. We're gathering the whole community to play and have fun across PC and console! On Xbox One, we're having Overwatch be our featured title for the Special Operation.

To commemorate the first Special Operation of 2018, we're having a unique challenge tied into our communiy activity. There will be a 'Marathon Challenge' for all the Divisions to strive for and complete. The events must last for six or more hours for the challenge to be completed. Who will be the last Division standing? Have fun and good gaming! See you at the end of the month.

Game Night Updates

Going forward in the Weekly Event articles, we will now list what Game Nights will be featured during that week. We will still post all Game Night notices and details in the Club, but for article readers, you'll get an early look at what is to come.

Monster Hunter World Squad Info

We've finally gone ahead and made our Monster Hunter World Squad information public (insert hoorahs here). Sergeant Sickshock has posted all information concerning our MHW Squad in this forum thread. Feel free to reach out to him if you need any help getting an invite to the squad.

Hey all,

Welcome to our Sea of Thieves launch week!

The overall event schedule for this week will be light with an emphasis on Sea of Thieves. We're still going to have an Overwatch event this Saturday night, our last 'regular event' for the game before the AJSA Special Operation on March 31st (details here). Additionally any Game Night notices will be posted through the AJSA Xbox Club.

Sea of Thieves Preview

Sea of Theives Midnight Launch Party - Staying up until Midnight to play the game at launch? Hang out with your friends in the AJSA! We're going to have a Club party up for all us night owls to play the game right when it launches. Come by, hang out, and play!

Sea of Thieves Pirate Meet Up - Then for all our regular operating/sleeping members, we're going to have a meet up at 7:30pm EST the same night.

Sea of Thieves Inaugural Event - On March 23rd the AJSA will set sail in full force for our inaugural event on Friday night at 7:30pm EST. We expect a high turn out, so multiple parties and groups will be up simultaneously to accomodate everyone. We will do our best to try and get everyone in the same server, so we can all play together!

It goes without saying that griefing other member's ships is frowned upon and could result in you being removed from the event. It is our first gathering, and the game is still very new, so everyone will still be getting used to the game and understanding the mechanics. Patience and team work will result in your crew being successful in your treasure hunts and voyages.

Interested in learning more about Sea of Thieves? Check out this guide here.

Thank you and cya at the events!

Good morning,

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Thank you all for a great March!

A special thanks to everyone who participated in our Overwatch event this past Saturday night [3.31.2018]. We broke two Xbox community records:

- Overwatch has surpassed Battlefield 4 and has become our longest running weekly event series.

- The event lasted for 16 straight hours, running from 6pm EST to 10am EST. We broke our previous record of 12 hours and 30 minutes, set last year on May 27th, 2017 during our One Year Anniversary celebratory event for.....you guessed it....Overwatch! This is the second time in the row our Overwatch crew has stepped up to the plate to create these new records. Before May 2017, Battlefield 4 held the Xbox record as the longest running event at 12 hours (achieved originally in April 2016).

Thank you for those who came by during all hours of the late to show support and an exceptional thanks to those who rode out the event for the entirety, staying up until it was all finished. I'm truly humbled! We ended March on a high note.

This week are on our Spring/Easter Break. From April 1st to April 8th we will have no Xbox events scheduled. Please note any notices for Game Nights or other meets up will be posted in the AJSA Xbox Club, so there will still be activities offered to members throughout the break week.

Enjoy the break!

Hey all,

We're officially off of Spring Break! This week we return to the game with an action packed lineup of events. We're heading back to COD: World War II to kick things off on Tuesday, we're heading to Minecraft on an epic story-driven adventure on Thursday, traveling back to the past with Halo: Reach on Friday, and Overwatch takes point as our Saturday night main event with the return of 'Uprising'.

Our complete April outline of events will be published today in our weekly Xbox article. Cya at the events!

Good morning all,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

The schedule for this week has been updated. For a greater part of this week we are traveling back in time....not only are we re-visiting Halo 3 but we're also returning to Metal Gear Solid V and Destiny 2. To put things into perspective....our last MGSV event was in November 2015 and the last time the 'Angry Guardians' gathered in event form was back in January 2018.

MGSV is free with 'Game with Gold' this month so this will be a fun/interesting opportunity for us to play the game again with an AJSA group. With Destiny 2, the latest expansion was released last week and we'd like to see what it has to offer plus check out if anything has changed.

Thanks all! Have a safe week,

- Rune

Hello,

Happy Memorial Day! :ajsa:

This week is the last set of events we have set up for the month of May. How time flies! This Saturday we don't have an event scheduled due to a staff meeting.

I want to thank everyone who came out and participated in our Overwatch event on May 26th as part of the AJSA Special Operation. It was awesome! Can't believe it has been two years since we started doing events for this game. I'm looking forward to the new adventures to come in this coming year and beyond. Thank you!
