Stingray Engine

5 posts in this topic

For those who don't know Autodesk just released their game Engine.

I just got it from the free trial and so far looks like a mixture from Unity and Unreal.

Did you guys try it or plan it on checking it out? I love 3DS Max so if it gives me advantages for it or it follows similar logic i'm probably going to like it a lot.

Thoughts?

I always love messing around with things like this, I'll probably never make something with it, but it's great to fool around with trials.

It does look impressive, though! And that virtual coding/scripting is a really good idea, because it lets people not worry about learning all the coding for such things.

Even though you probably should still learn the coding, It'll make it easier in the long run~

Do you have a link to the trial?

I really like this, but I don't know how it will compete since all the game engines now have gone free (Unity, EU4, Source 2, etc).

I'm pretty sure it will turn out free eventually, just like UE4 did, else this is going to fail hard, they got no choice.
