At this point it looks like this isn't actually true but what if it is?  I would actually hit the bottle and shit myself!  I mean this would literally be the worst thing to happen in the gaming industry for a long time.  You might as well flush humanity hope down the shitpan!

FOR THE LOVE GOD PLEASE TELL ME THAT THIS IS JUST A JOKE

What he said.

Unlikely, CD Projekt RED is already a subsidiary of CD Projekt. EA would have to buy all of CD Project to just get RED, and that's too silly for EA to consider.

The person who came up with this rumor should be slapped upside the head.

People express interest in buying the company all the time. Boring clickbait youtubers.

Did you hear the rumor yesterday about EA negotiating to buy out CD Projekt, or maybe GOG? Well it's not true. In fact, the basis for the whole thing was so thin that we just rolled our eyes and moved on to more serious matters

It will be true one day. Prepare for The Witcher 4: DLC Extravaganza.

I read an article the other day with a quote from someone CD that they are not in talks of buy outs with ANYONE. So I think I can that reliably.

Even if EA did buy them, I would hardly consider that the worst thing to happen to gaming.

I don't know what the worst would be but one thing worse I can think of off the top of my head was movie industry suits trying to hijack the game industry resulting in one cheesy FMV based 'game' after another back during the sega CD, 3DO, CDI era...Obviously they failed, but it's pretty clear that sort of "make it more like a movie" effort has come back and has successfully infiltrated our games, creating things like quick time event-based 'games'.. blargh.

Which of those were enough of a reason for EA not to kill them off?
