Fallout nv 2?

14 posts in this topic

now I know that u think I'm some kind of ultra fallout fanboy cuz fallout 4s relese. But in a couple of years there could be a game that does not have to be called fallout nv 2 but could take place in the Mojave or near the Mojave so if so what do u think some things will change and maybe even some ideas for the plot. Like how some factions have changed or how some factions died out and even new factions.

Well since the game ends with 4 possible choices, we can probably rule out possible canon timelines for a NV sequel. The Courier couldn't take the independent Vegas route since that would both eliminate all conflict and remove the significance of the divergent paths to reach that goal. Logically, NCR would have beaten off Caesar's Legion at Hoover Dam because they would have had House backing them, although I do believe House would have turned and pushed NCR out of Vegas for a while. I think that since NCR and the Brotherhood would have a common enemy in House's robot driven city-state they could ally to try to take over Nevada, or at least have the option to form a loose alliance with each other. Somehow House would need to be removed and be replaced by a new director in Vegas, just like in FO4 they replaced Elder Lyons with Maxon to remove the attachment to the past characters.

There could ea silly be DLC tie-ins like having Ulysses come and guide the new player to some degree (actually, that would be pretty cool to start as a disciple of Ulysses) or encounter some of the survivors of New Cannan led by Graham.

Also, call yourself a "fanboy?" Call me back when you sink 1000 hours across 30 NV games.

For the next Fallout I would rather see something different like setting in Europe or China so that we can look at the lore from a different perspective.

That's a good idea but that would take away the games "American 50s theme" so they would probably will never do it

That, and I wouldn't blame Bethesda if they said they didn't want to misrepresent and insult Chinese culture. Europe can't happen because, as seen in the Mothership Zeta dlc for FO3 it's under a giant radioactive hurricane so probably everyone is either dead or horribly mutated ghouls.

No more West coast stuff please if they decide to let another company make another fallout installment i'd rather wish they'd choose another location like somewhere up farther north.

Annexed Canada would be another location to explore.

Well there's a scene in Mothership Zeta where a region around what I think was Ottawa was blasted by a giant laser and torched, so that really leaves only two major cities that could be explored: Montreal and Vancouver.

Ohhh, that sounds amazing.

Fallout in China or Russia would be awesome.

And there isn't a reason why FO should be locked to ONLY the States
