Damn, that's a long time but not bad. It's good that they take time on these games as long as they nail it right. If Im not wrong, lead writer for ME left Bioware not too long ago, so maybe it's the reason for delay.

Thoughts?

"bioware writer left"

I bet 10 bucks that its gonna suck. Or at least thats what people are gonna say.

Shame. I really want to play it.

Still in love with the franchise and while I don't usually pre-order, in this case I will :D

I did expect the game to get delayed after I heard that some of the staff decided to quit (according to Bioware, the reason for quitting had nothing to do with the game). I just hope that this game is gonna be good.

definitely means you're gonna see gameplay at E3, specially with EA thinking they're big enough to go solo from E3.

Can't wait. Hope they make it a true RPG and not limit the dialogue choices a la fallout 4

You mean like how the dialogue choices in Mass Effect end up being:

"Yes I'll do the thing because I like you."

"Yes I'll do the thing."

"I'll do the thing, but I don't like you."

Along with paragon and renegade choices of:

*Immediately does the thing*

*Does the thing in a mean way*

Oh and don't forget the ever present 6th choice:

"Tell me more about the thing."

Well dialogue in ME was always like that so I don't think it's a problem. Fallout 4 actually copied ME in that way which was a bad move.

On one hand I'm disappointed because it was supposed to release this year.. but as time goes on I am OK with devs pushing back release dates now as long as it is for good reason. If it is to pull a 'Witcher 3' and push back the game to scale it down for console ports then that is lame. If its to polish and perfect it then all the power to em. I feel like every other game is releasing unfinished and rushed. I mean look at Street Fighter or Battlefront.

EA and Bioware did the same things with Dragon Age Inquisition where they delayed it a few months because they wanted more time for polish
