Never played the original, but heard it was pretty good at the time, maybe they will pick it up again later.

I completely forgot about this game. It's sad because I remember getting very excited about the multiple developer interviews that were very lengthy in how the game was looking to push the MMO/RPG genre.

As odd as this sounds, I pin my hopes for next level MMO's on Chinese,Korean, and Japanese developers.

There's been no talk about this game since Landmark was put into closed alpha, so I don't think the cancellation is that big of a deal.

Once upon a time I would have agreed with you. Perfect World had been publishing some amazingly well crafted and beautiful Korean titles, but after the discontinuation of War of the Immortals and Rusty Hearts, and the changes to Perfect World International I'm less confident in them. Vindictus is pretty good, but it's a much harder learning curve than even Bloodborne, and Black Desert hasn't exactly blown me away either.

And yet that game was why GW2 had to get a different composer for the expansion.  Blech.

Ya about three or four months ago, maybe even longer, the guy who had lead SWG, was in charge of this and one day he just upped and walked away. From the things I read.

There was talk then of it getting discontinued, IIRC they still had whatever it was up and running on a server somewhere. I think it was like the housing part of the game I really dont remember

Aw man, that's a shame. I feel bad for the Everquest players.
