I have to be honest, to me, Halo died when Bungie left.

But what do you guys think?

Your right halo probably did die when bungie left,  Halo 5 is the least selling of all the halo games I don't think 343 can capture what bungie did to make these games so great

I agree. The last great Halo title was Reach, which is my personal favourite in the series.

I remember playing Halo 4, it was very "Meh". Not a bad game, by any means. It was just devoid of Bungie's passion and soul, that made the series the successfully, awesome juggernaut it once was. Saying that; I've noticed that Bungie lost their soul once they left to create Destiny! lol

to me halo never died.Never played halo ce,halo 2<(only single-player),halo 3 and 4 till mcc arrived.halo 1-3 are my favorites in terms, story  good distinction of ranked n social(at launch) and content at launch/poat launch.Halo is ok the core gameplay is  not there in halo 5,the competitiveness(well some of it), teamwork and of course more social n ranked is needed. its just not being handled properly by 343

maybe if 343 would have put into halo 5 all the gamemodes and reqs that they put later. if they would have put these features on the release date it would maybe done better in sales also if they would actually given and good campaign, it would have done so much better.

Well halo is a very resourceful series and that no matter what happens like the removal of iconic features and business practices that are bad for the series, halo will go on to have sequels in the foreseeable future.

Here's where 343 is messing up: they're ignoring what made Halo great. The story, the characters, the fear of an overwhelming enemy that literally has what's left of the UNSC backing into a corner for one final confrontation. There were moments in the first 3 games where the victories felt like you actually accomplished something, whether it was destroying a Scarab tank, punching a Prophet to death or driving a Warthog across a dangerous terrain to escape a world-shattering explosion.

And let's not forget multiplayer! It was simple, yet varied with many different game modes, maps and armaments to keep it feeling fresh and exciting. And when they introduced Firefight in ODST, it was great! The feeling of surviving a brutal onslaught from an overwhelming enemy, knowing that you had just seconds to reposition, rearm and get ready to defy death once again!

But that's the problem with 343. They're trying to tweek and change a system that was already working well for the series and put their own name and label on the map for said series. I understand trying to create your own identity, but to reduce a beloved series to simple CoD style missions and a multiplayer system that combines micro transactions with a armament/bonus system similar to what we saw in the newest Battlefront is not only sinful, but it's insulting to those of us who've been playing the game since it first came out, back when Master Chief was an obscure video game reference and not the pop culture icon that he is today. Even non-gamers have heard of Halo and Master Chief.

That's just my opinion. I thought Halo 4 was alright, but I just didn't get the same feeling from the 5 that I did from the other entries in the series. I had high hopes when 343 took over, but with some of the moves they've made with the series, I'm afraid they're going to turn it into CoD while alienating their original, loyal fanbase. And I'm not sure if they've done anything else with it after the disaster of H4 (I borrowed H5 and returned it the next day), but PLEASE return Firefight to its glory days and not this dumb, episodic miniseries that they turned it into. I just want Halo. I want big guns and big vehicles that I don't have to grind for hours to unlock in multilayer power up packs or whatever they're called
