Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite. Excited, or just meh?

12 posts in this topic

Finally Megaman is here. Took them long enough! We got Smash Bros for Wii U but that's not really a Capcom game. This is actually a perfect teabag to Keiji Inafune after the failure that is Megaman's much worse cousin "Mighty No. 9". Excited for this game, or not really?

Based on the clusterfuck that was Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Street Fighter V, don't get your hopes up for this game. I am expecting major bullshit, like Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, WAY too much character dlcs, or an overpriced season pass. This game will never have the balls to do what King of Fighters XIV did and just have a gigantic roster right from the get go.

Here's what I want out of this game which will be awesome if it's true, but most likely will not come true:

1) Have a story mode. Please! Every other fighting games nowadays has it, why not this? Just be like Street Fighter V's story mode, but better. Or better yet, have the story mode be a completely different mode than the main game, so it'll be an action adventure mode starring Deadpool just fucking around destroying the fourth wall. Maybe have CyberConnect 2 made this mode, and it'll be like Asura's Wrath, or Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, except with Marvel and Capcom characters and Deadpool's patented lunacy. So it'll be like this, with a lot more humor.

Or we can have Asura back and him kicking Galactus' ass.

2) Just have a giant roster like King of Fighters XIV. Don't have stupid dlcs. But of course this is not gonna happen! Damn you money grubbing bastards!

Looking over the past couple of years Capcom seem to have learned from their mistakes.......  For the most part.  Marvel vs Capcom Infinite will certainly be can good measure of how far they have come,  we know that they are at least including a proper Mega Man this time!

I haven't played any of the previous MVC games so I'm personally not to fussed but might check it out if it gets good reviews.

Watch like a year from now they'll reveal an enhanced version, making some people angry.

I am personally just meh because fighting games are not usually my thing. But it does look interesting at the least.

On the plus side, it's being developed in-house w/ the producer being from Capcom USA, not an idiot like Yoshinori Ono.  Also supposedly it's a joint project with Marvel Games.

I'm excited for two reasons.

1) Mega Man X finally gets a shot at the spotlight after having been heavily requested for years. Zero had his fun in MvC3/UMvC3 and the original Mega Man is still duking it out with characters like Cloud, Shulk and Corrin in Smash 4. This is just perfect.

2) We're having 2-on-2 battles again and I hear it's a reboot. Not that I'm complaining.

Pretty curious if Thanos is going to be the final boss in this, or just another regular fighter.

Marvel-vs-Capcom-3-Morrigan-Aensland-mor

As long as they include the most badass Succubus to ever come out of Scotland, I'm buying.

I'm not saying I disagree, I'd just like to know why exactly is not having Yoshinori Ono help develop this game such a good thing? Is it because of what we got with Street Fighter 5?

Am I missing something? Mega Man was in MvsC 2 and in part 1 if I'm not mistaken. He hasn't been left out of fighting games..just thought I'd drop that helpful little detail. That's probably why they switched to Zero in part 3, just a change of pace and now he's getting a return in this next one.

Zero was my dude in MvsC3, he was fun to play and he sounded badass. Mega Man sounded like an annoying little brat in MvsC2 lol, he even had an even more annoying taunt but you couldn't help but like it. In either case, I'm looking forward to this new one.
