AJSA Valkyrie

destiny
Why destiny's RNG's system is broken.

10 posts in this topic

So I'm a destiny player. I'm a 398 hunter and I like playing the game. But I have a problem with the game, it's RNG system. If you don't know, RNG is Random number generator. It governs the loot in an RPG or other games which has this. Games like destiny, has one but is frustrating for me. For example, iron banner, a pivotal end game activity is, in my opinion, has a broken RNG system and seems to give people who is at the bottom good stuff and people who did the game did not. This is frustrating, as it is unfair to grind for hours only to get nothing. So am I being biased because of the game? Leave a comment below.

This always happens when Bungie is busy making sure preparations for the new content which is tomorrow. There's always a glitch problem when a new content is coming.

Yes it's frustrating but rewarding if it wants to work.

It's from me who played it from year 2 to year 3, gaining the light levels as I go. But getting to 400 light seemed impossible due to the aforementioned RNG system.

While I have read the RNG system has been an issue in the past I had heard it had been mostly fixed at this point.

The RNG system has been this way for ages, be happy you weren't there in year 1, now that was when it truly was terrible. It's not the most perfect thing now but MILES better then year 1. Personally the little bit of the Iron Lord DLC I have played I've gone up faster in light then any previous DLC, probably due to all the ways you can level up light more then the previous expansions. That and probably some luck. By now I doubt anymore major tweaks to the RNG system will happen anytime soon if at all.

I had to grind for months at the start of Destiny till half way through House of Wolves DLC for my gjallarhorn, while my friend had already got 18+ to drop. So all I have to say is pray to RNGesus and better pray hard to get the stuff you want.

I can't remember how I got my Ghorn. It was either that first time Xur sold it but no one knew how OP it was at the time or just randomly had it from a nightfall or something. Never used it until everyone started going nuts for it and it was just sitting in my vauilt gathering dust all that time. Shame the Year 3 version isn't as good. But yeah RNGesus can be cruel and make you wait for ages to get something, heck there are people who still have yet to get the Crux off of Crota Raid and they've played since year 1.
