Plains of Eidolon is the greatest Warframe update ever!

3 posts in this topic

I've played Warframe for 4 years now, with 3.600 hours total, and I can very much say that the Plains of Eidolon update that launched a week ago, is the single greatest update I've experienced in all that time. For the first time we get to travel to and fully experience an actual civilized colony, and it's bustling with life and detail and there's so much sweet stuff you can obtain in the market. The Plains itself is an absolute incredible change in gameplay, looks absolutely beautiful, and feels very alive with patrols, gunships, wildlife and the bunch.

There's SO much more to do now as well (something that I desperately needed), doing unique bounty missions for some really sweet rewards, mining new minerals with a freaking laser, and FISHING! TEH FEESH! Fishing is way more fun than it should possibly be as a concept e-e
And then there's the reworked Focus system, and the super unique and badass Eidolon boss fight!

I just... HNNNNNG I LOVE IT!

I have seen people saying that, despite the Plains being almost instantly available to new players, doing activities in the Plains isn't much rewarding to them until they get further in the game, and yeah, that's kinda true. For new players, the very best they could do is spearfishing to get the modular melee weapons, or the unique quest coupled with the low-level Bounties to get the Gara Warframe. But you know, I don't really think the Plains need to be that rewarding right away. It just provides an incredible gameplay space in this amazing world you're free to explore, something you can always come back to whenever you want, whatever levels you've reached. And I think that's gonna be enough for new players.

I just finished Shadow of War and while playing that game I occasionally play Plains of Eidolon once or twice. Now it is time to fully immerse myself to this new open world! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Personally I ain't going close to an Eidolon. Not only are they ridiculously strong, they don't bother me, so I won't bother them. Grinners though, oh Imma bitch slap them from left to right. And I will eventually get the Archwing Launcher segment since I love to fly in this new world, but I will wait for my dojo to have that thing ready first. Darn it!

The Eidolon fight is definitely worth trying out at some point at least. Besides a survivable Warframe and an ammo-efficient DPS weapon, all you really need is experience within the fight (though some friends will help a lot as well).
