Surround sound receiver won't show picture.

3 posts in this topic

Hi, I got a RCA surround sound system for my 4k tv and my 4k Bluray player, but it doesn't show any picture. I've used different HDMI cords, the speakers are all accounted for, but the receiver won't show any picture. Help?

It's a RCA RT2911 surround sound system, a Hisense 55" H7 4k tv, and a Samsung UHD Bluray player.

It you are trying to pass through a HDMI signal from a 4K Blue-Ray player then it's probably HDCP blocking the signal, just about any 4K device has to support HDCP whereas most of the older audio equipment doesn't.  I'd recommend connecting the HDMI cable directly from the Blu-Ray player to the TV and use a separate connection like SPDIF Optical or Digital COAX cable to connect the Blue-Ray player to the RCA.

I fixed it I got one HDMI from the 4k player to the tv and a HDMI from the 4k player to the receiver.
