The worst Xbox 360 games of all time.

24 posts in this topic

Well, with the new generation on the horizon, let's look back on the 360, and the garbage that made it on there.  What are the absolute WORST games of all time for the 360?  For me, I have three nominations...

Stormrise

On paper, it seems like a good idea.  Commanding an army from inside a mechsuit.  But in execution, it is a horribly flawed RTS, with bad controls, bad camera, and a bad story.  Not to mention piss poor AI.  Then again, Sega's quality control was pretty shoty at the time (and only just now starting to recover from).  It's rare for anyone to get past the second mission before throwing their controler into the wall in frustration.

Vampire Rain

Released within the first year of the Xbox 360's life cycle, this game was an atempt to make Splinter Cell with vampires.  What it ended up as is a shitty clone of Splinter Cell, down to the menu, hud, and sound effects.  The missions offered little room for exploration, with invisible walls, and a demand of absolute perfection, as one screw up can kill you.  Anything other than the sniper rifle and shotgun (which you only get in certain missions, and have them taken away soon after) was about as effective as a BB gun.  Not to mention how easy it was to get spotted, regardless of how well you tried to hide.  For years, this game was concidered the worse game on the 360.

Road to Hell: Retrubution

Do I need to say anything?  We all saw Joe's review of it.

Anyway, what would you put on this list of "worst 360 games of all time"?

You've got to include:

The Bourne Conspiracy, an often forgotten collection of good 'ol cash grabbing and franchise embarrassment.

Amy, perhaps the blandest survival horror game ever conceived. Synonymous with salted crackers.

Saw: The Game, while movie license games are to be expected, this surprised even the most cynical among us. Deeply disturbing that the enjoyability of gameplay could be brought to such an all time low.

Road to Hell, Vampire Rain, etc are bad but we can just laugh at them and move on the game that is really awful is the new Steel Battalion ruining a great series and making it likely we won't see it again, and it had a few good ideas (having a crew with you and them being able to get injured or killed) behind it but because of how bad it was it might be less likely to see other games try them.

Fusion Frenzy 2. Loved the first one, the second was abysmal. Two Worlds 1 was also terribad. My friend and I rented it once, played like an hour and both of us couldn't continue playing it.

Legendary. For something with such a cool concept, and a lot of effort to have interesting stuff (Golem made out of destroyed buildings) it felt surprisingly boring.

Perfect Dark Zero is just horrible. I played it the other day just to see if it was as horrible as I remembered.

I would have gone with either Battleship or AMY. Since one is 60$ game meant to play with kids expectations based on the movie, and other is a escort mission.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor. I feel so sorry for anyone who bought a Kinect for that game alone and then found it utterly broken.

I have to agree with you, I was hoping that it would be more like the first one with that awesome control

I guess almost all of the indie games, if those count. Retail games though? Maybe Rogue Warrior, that was an extremely messy FPS, not done well at all. A good amount of Kinect games. Lost Planet 2? I dunno if that is considered bad, but it was such a crappy game for me and my friends to force ourselves through. And let's not forget the Burger King games.

Come on guys, there is a couple of indie games that are quite ok...maybe one.

Watchmen is the worst game I have and I've played so far in Xbox360
