Wondering?

6 posts in this topic

I bought a new P.C. a while ago to get more into modern P.C. gaming because my older system wouldn't cut it. I was just wondering what you guys think of the RTX 2080 TI because that's the graphic's card it came with.

My Specs are this. In the end I just want to see what the community thinks of it because I value other's opinions I was originally going to build from the ground up on my old P.C. but I don't really have the time and I've only built a P.C once with a late friend.

Processor: 3.7 Ghz Core I7 8700k

Ram: 32 GB DDR4

Hard Drive: 3072 GB Hybrid Drive

Graphics: GeForce RTX 2080Ti 11 GB

Chipset Brand: NVIDIA

Card Description: Dedicated

Graphics Card Ram Size: 11GB

Number of USB 2.0 Ports: 2

Number of USB 3.0 Ports: 6

Processor Brand: Intel

Processor Count: 6

Computer Memory Type: DDR4 SDRAM

Flash Memory Size: 480.0

Hard Driver Interface: Serial ATA-600

Hard Drive Rotational Speed: 7200 RPM

P.S.I looked at my Device Manager and I counted at least 12 I7 8700k's so I'm guessing it's 6x2 per Processor but I could be wrong. I also know my Graphics Card isn't as niche as the Titan but I hope I did okay for the amount of money I spent on this P.C.

Wow.... that is one beefed up PC. You can pretty much play ANY game on max graphics settings with that!

You’ll be fine playing games with that beast for many2 years.

You needn't worry. You'll be set for a while.

Thanks, I bought this P.C. for around $2500.00 on Amazon it had some mixed review's because some of them were dead on arrival for some people. Since I've had it I've had no issues so I guess I was lucky but I could see it as the components being raddled and improper set up you do have to take some plastic/foam type support inside the case before you boot it up which requires you to take off glass panel and if you're not careful I could see some static electricity causing issues people had. I was kinda prepared for that but Amazon has a great return policy and they'll send you a new one. Here's the link to the actual P.C.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GG3W4LG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Another side note is I have 3 tb space so it should last a while. I've had to move my Steam folder to a new drive because the main one you get is like 500 to 600 mb. The other one is the rest of the space which is empty by default that could be a draw for some people.

Keep hold of the warranty and note for anything "unusual" all the same. I actually got top of the range laptop once back in 06 when there was a computer scheme at work (encouragement to enrol on a skills course and get a third price off a computer bought at certain stores with deducations being manageable via the wage.) It was quite a good deal, yet the monitor screen started showing 'lines' across the screen till it covered the screen and computer went dead. Not sure how that happened but it happened fast, and just not long after the warranty passed as well! I wasn't happy at the time..

Still have a blast with that computer but just keep an eye out for anything unusual all the same.

I actually bought 4 years worth of insurance. Below is the bullet points from the insurance that I bought with it to at least cover my ass if something broke. Obviously the key point there is normal use. That said, Amazon's return policy is actually decent because they'll resend you a new P.C. if it DOA which was reported in some of the reviews on the desktop. Either way appreciate the advice and that sucks about the laptop. It's true you never know I mean the P.C. may just die tomorrow and not want to start you never know.
