"Those" moments in gaming

So i had a conversation with a friend yesterday so thought id put it up on here, what games have you played where they really hit your emotions? like you cheer, cry, laugh etc

Mine would be all of the above for the Mass Effect series, crying during the Walking Dead and the last of us. Haven't really laughed at many games, I've chuckled at a few but not often full on laughter anyway let me know! :)

The first mission in Call of Duty CLASSIC when all the american soldiers parachute in, only to be guned down by german machine guns. I feel like it really captured the hell of war. Not like modern call of duty where all of your single-player companions who are like imortal gods that cant die.

DayZ, when my friend was trying to refill his water bottle at a tree stump with an axe in it for about ten minutes because it looked like a water pump. That cracked me up. lol

And borderlands 2, laughed almost all the way through that. Especially Mister Torgue, man that character is hilarious!

Pretty much all of MGS4, The walking dead ending, several Mass effect moments (particularly mordins moment), Aeris death, and returning to your grandma in Wind waker.

Try COD 2 (not the big red one), its brilliant. The moment you charge over the field to counter the germans in stalingrad gives me the chills.

"Those" moments in games, from my experience, in Batman Arkham City, when you first kneal at the spot your parents died and playing the tape that Strange left there. Made just go: "Woah...."

I think Assassins Creed was one epic moment, that and maybe when I was young with a friend Rise of Nations

I'm pretty emotionless. Nothing really comes to mind. Of course Gamefly did just send me Beyond Two Souls. I hear that game has lots of polygons and that the polygons should give me the feels.

Well, you know, until the cutscene/scripted event where they do all die.

*MASS EFFECT 3 MINOR SPOILER*

During mass effect 3 nearly every goodbye moment or the last time you talked to a team member was very emotional for me, but by far the worst was when Thane died defending the Salarian Councilman. During Mass Effect 2 Thane was easily my favorite team member and I absolutely loved him, so when he was dying in the hospital and praying for me it was literally the first moment I have cried at a video game. The moment with Tali after retaking Rannoch was also really emotional for me because I had romanced her i every game possible, and Mordin as well had a great moment for me when he died curing the Genophage. On the other side of the emotional spectrum when the Thrasher Maw killed a reaper and when Grunt almost died fighting Rachnai were two totally bad ass moments.

Games that have caused man tears to fall for me are The Walking Dead, Mass Effect 3, To the Moon, and in Persona 4 Arena Labry's story got me pretty good.

As for games that have made me laugh almost every Bioware game I've played had at least one character that could make me laugh, Mordin and Shale particularly.

What happened to him in your game? I killed him in my game but was extremely reluctant to do so, I loved him and the only reason I killed him was because I romanced Tali and there was no way I would betray her.

Portal 2, both the original and the Spanish dub, when Wheatley fakes his accent. I just lost it!

Borderlands 2... Just... The whole game. I laughed my butt off at so many parts of the game, it's just unreal. It's the exact kind of humor that I adore. Even when I replay with a new character, it just ends up in me laughing again. :D

I had one of "Those" moments when I beat Shadow of Colossus and Ico. I could not contain the water fall of tears.

In DMC 3 I laughed a lot, Dante is so bad-ass, in Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 i laughed too. But ending of Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood kinda hit me.

@down

Yea, it's nice game, you can buy it cheap too.
