I have to agree. dotHack is definitely the best imo. As for the anime, not really a fan. I prefer the manga of that one.

I enjoyed the DragonBallZ Budokai games on the PS2.

Those are the best ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Haha i must say that some games are really great! my personal favorite is Katawa shoujo a game that would be considered normal amongst dating sims, but wait there is a catch!. All the students in the school has some sort of problem that they have faced and or currently facing. And events that led them to this school. You are there to help them and yourself.

doesnt it sound awesome?:) I highly recommend this game! play it when you can.

I like the Persona series, particularly the 3rd installment to the franchise, on the PS2. I have no idea if they made one for the PS3 though.

I don't know if Persona or Dynasty warriors is based of an anime... I mean, Persona has an anime that's based off of it.

Unless you guys are talking about anime-esque games. In which case, Blaz Blue, Guilty Gear, Tekken, and Persona.

If not, then black rock shooter.

Fist of the north star: Ken's rage was awful.

The sniper Golgo 13 game was pretty cool. Sniping a woman's high heel to make it look like it snapped in half when she feel down a flight of stairs? Awesome stuff.

Madness! Blasphemy!
How dare no one mention Shogo Mobile Armor Divison?! :P

Guardian Heroes on the Sega Saturn

I see your place and I upgrade with the much different sequel, Advance Guardian Heroes for the GBA.
An often overlooked game but give it a try and a few playthroughs and you'll see what I mean.

I like most Gundam titles, my favorite being Federation VS Zeon or its upgraded version, One Year War. I also enjoyed the Berserk games (Dreamcast and PS2).

snip

That game is soo elusive but looks oh sooo good for any Macross fan. Especially since it contains both the TV series timeline AND movie timeline in one.

Spoiler alert, final fight;

*hums* I love that song ~

Other games ~

Patlabor (several consoles)

Ghost in the Shell (stay away from the PSP FPS game)

And of course, Gundam U.C. Climax PS2

The only Gundam game to my knowledge where you get to create your own character and pick which side to join.
Universal Century Gundam Online doesn't count.
My pilot of course piloted the Quinn Mantha like a freaking boss. Despite that it's a huge mobile suit / mobile armor class mech, she piloted it like it was nothing. Very deadly and very quick. I loved her ^_^ Just as I love the really big mechs.

Then there are, just soo many games.
There's a game on the Snes made after Appleseed but I'd claim you need to acquire a certain taste in order to like that game because it feels very early gen Snes.

ADD: Apparently you can only make two youtube video links ?_? Huh... Okay.

That made all spoilers more or less useless

I want to say this is the original anime based game.

That looks almost as awful as Zeta Gundam does on NES  :D

Oh yeah Shogo! Damn that game was fun and I never had a GBA until about 2 years ago so I never heard of it. Let's see if I can get it around here

Shogo was amazing. I bought it like 10 years ago and I have it here in one of my boxes if I'm not mistaking.

Advance Guardian Heroes suffer tremendously from slowdown at certain parts of the game though but it is very much fun.

Oh yeah, Oni is amazing. One of Bungie's greatest games ever.

I almost forgot about THIS game coming out for the N3DS!

As someone who just loves Saber Rider I can't wait but it has been in development for so long now...and I hope that it is not going to be a rail shooter

I've sorta thought of it as different stages more. Some are rail shooters from TPS perspective, others are TPS-free stages i.e. no rail shooting moments. Some might just be vehicle sections. Just thoughts I've had in my mind regarding this game.
