Is it time for a Civilisation VI?

12 posts in this topic

It's been just over 3 years since Civilization V was released and now it seems it's becoming overburdened with DLC. Do you think there should be a whole new game with a nearly complete reworking, more genral patches, more DLC, etc, etc? What do you guys think?

Personally I like the game at its current state. more and more DLC I don't think is a bad thing. Keeps most of us interested without having to repurchase a whole new game which may only have a few minor changes...

Eh, in my opinion, it still feels a bit early to make a Civ VI. That's just me, though.

More DLC won't hurt, as long as its worth people's time and money.

I don't think that Civ V was that good. I know that seems sacreligious to some of you people, but I loved how you could have massive armies in one stack, not having to place them all over the place. And the fact that you could buy land reduced the importance of culture, which I think was a big component of Civ IV, which was my ideal Civ game. This is my opinion though, and I haven't played it since the Gods and Kings DLC came out.

I love Civ V its just sometimes i wish the mechanics were different. For example, instead of forming a city to claim land, make it so you claim land then settle it then make a city. Also making armies of diifferent composition and size etc.

Yeah, the fact you cant stack armies is one of my peeves with the game.

Mmh, i don't think Civ V was perfect. Since it's already been three years, i honestly would like to see Civ VI.

No,Civ 5 just got it's new awesome expansion.

If Civ was gonna move to a whole new game,it would have to be radical, and surpassing Civ 5 in it's current state will be tough.

I would love to see a Civ game and when you have battles you can have a mechanic like total war when theres strategy not just automatically tells you if your gonna win or not and definetly better diplomacy :)
