Remember the good old days, when paid for games had no microtransactions? When you actually had to work for achievements and couldn't just buy them? When EA was shitty, but not as shitty as they are now?
Well, we do and with the current ever so slightly contoversial course of the new Star Wars: Battlefront 2, we've decided to revisit the original, which just as it happens actually was the very first game featured by the EF, back in Summer of 2015 (when the first reworked Battlefront was released).
As such, we'll be hosting a session of the original, 2005 version of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 this Saturday, the 18th of November, at 9pm GMT/4pm EST on our Discord Server.

    By RuneX, in Frontpage,

    Introduction
Welcome to the biggest party of the year! Happy 4th Birthday, AJSA!
During the week of November 13th the entire community will unite together to celebrate the founding of the AJSA. On both PC and console, there will be numerous activities planned for members to engage in and play with each other.  It is important that we not only come together to play video games, but also use this as an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look ahead, building a strong foundation off of these activities to take the community into 2018.
The AJSA Xbox One Division is ready to help participate and contribute towards the Anniversary celebration. Keeping with tradition within our Division, we have a full week of gaming festivities planned to observe and honor the founding of the AJSA. This means that we will have a scheduled event every single day out of the Anniversary week.
This year the theme of the Anniversary week on Xbox will be about teamwork, community spirit, and unity. Each event will be tailored to incorporate as much squad play and communication as possible.
This article will provide an outline of our events for this week, our raffle, and Contract/Challenges for each event.
Let's get out there, kick some ass, and have fun! Enjoy!
    Raffle
Every AJSA member who participates in the events scheduled for the Anniversary week on the Xbox One will be entered into a raffle. The more events you participate in, the more times your name gets entered into the raffle, and you increase your chances to win.
At the end of all Anniversary activities, three random winners will be drawn. Rewards are as followed:
1st Place - Free digital game up to $60 choosen by the winner. 2nd Place - $25 Xbox Live Gift Card 3rd Place - $15 Xbox Live Gift Card On December 4th when all Anniversary activities have concluded, after the random winners are drawn, they will be contacted privately by me [Rune] and then the winners will be announced publicly.
    Contracts
Each event on Xbox One will have an associated challenge, called a "Contract", which event participants can voluntarily complete. Every contract you complete will also enter your name into the raffle. These Contracts can range from getting a certain amount of points in a game to working together with your AJSA squad to overcome an obstacle.
As the theme of the Anniversary week on Xbox this year is about teamwork, a lot of the Contracts will revolve around you and your squad completing certain objectives. If your squad collectively completes a Contract, everyone in the squad will be marked as have completed the Contract, and all names will be entered again in the raffle. Want those extra raffle spots? Work together!
Some events will have more than one Contract. With events that list two Contracts, only one Contract completion will be counted towards the raffle. This means members can earn up to two spots in the raffle per event (by attending an event and completing a Contract).
    Summary:
Every AJSA participant will be entered into the raffle. The more events you attend, the more times your name gets entered into the raffle. Every event will have one or two Contracts. These Contracts are challenges that members can voluntarily complete. If there is an event with two Contracts, only one completed Contract will be counted. Members can earn only up to two spots in the raffle per event (by attending an event and completing a Contract). Majority of the Contracts will be squad based, meaning to complete a Contract it will have to be done in a collective fashion. Work with your squad to complete Contracts, not only earning an extra spot in the raffle for yourself but earning an extra spot for the rest of your team. The host, along with members of the Xbox One staff, will be keep track of all event attendance and will keep note of members completing Contracts. Raffle winners will be approached by the Xbox One Commander and then the winners will be announced publicly on December 4th. All the events will be recorded. Footage from each event will be compiled into an Anniversary Event Video for the AJSA Gaming YouTube Channel. Please submit footage to Rune if you wish to share clips from your recording/streams of the Anniversary events so you can be part of, and receive credit in, the Xbox One Anniversary montage video in late November/early December. --------------------

    Halo 3 - Anniversary Event - Fri. Nov. 17th, 2017 @7:00pm EST (12:00am GMT)

During any celebration or any observance of an Anniversary, it is important to reflect on the past and how you ended up where you are now. We wanted to reflect this sort of observance with the inclusion of Halo 3 to this week's festivities. A title that many of us played years ago on the Xbox 360 and spent countless hours playing the campaign and/or online, securing many memories and note worthy moments.
We decided to take an extra step and take advantage of Xbox's backward compatibility program by featuring for the first time Halo 3 as an AJSA event. This will be a great/fun opportunity for members to relive old memories or experience this game for the first time.
We will gather all participants into one Xbox Live Party, provided by the host, and from there we will designate group activities and form squads. Activities will range from online multiplayer and custom games. Contact the host (info provided below) if you want extra info about the upcoming event.
For participants playing from their Xbox 360: Please add the hosts to your friends list on your 360 and please send a message letting us know you want an invite to our game session during the event.
