The second official AJSA League of Legends Tournament

    By littlemowgli, in Articles,

It has begun once again, ready up summoners it's time for the second tournament. Those who dare to compete have a chance to win prizes
Will be played on the NA region and a max of 8 teams.
Teams will be able to register for the tournament on the second of March at 4:00 PM central
Registration deadline is on the 26th of March at 11:59 PM central
Soon after the tournament starts on the 28th at 6:00 PM central, which will then proceed to the 29th and 30th at 3:00 PM central
The date is far back so teams can get it figured out and what days to show up, the times for competing are solid and teams are expected to show up at these times or face disqualification, any changes in the schedule during tournament times must be brought up a week in advance.
The tournament will be double elimination
Must have a team to participate
Must be at least a recruit of the army including everyone on your team to participate. (this means that when you get on Teamspeak, it would have to show a recruit badge next to your name or higher, Please get this sorted out before the tournament not during)
Must be connected to Teamspeak during tournament
Teams must let moderator know who the winner is, take screenshots to avoid conflict.
Matches must be played using Tournament mode using the custom game lobby (this allows pausing if a problem arises)
Games can't be paused for more than 5 minutes.

For the prizes, 35 dollars of RP to each member of the victorious team.
The second place team 10 dollars of RP to each member.
Important side note: Subs are allowed, we are working on getting subs into the tournament system so you can add them but currently the tournament system doesn't allow subs. If you have subs remember only 5 people are eligible for a prize, subs will not receive prizes. (message LittleMowgli if there are any more questions about this) Furthermore the last two matches will be streamed, so no ghosting... seriously.
Here is a rough draft of our coming soon Tutorial Video on how to sign up a team! Wanted to put this here as it does the job perfectly until we get our next one out!

The second DOTA 2 Tournament for the AJSA

    By Craigr910, in Articles,

The War between the Radiant and the Dire wages on and now a tournament shall be held within the AJSA to determine who is the best and these people shall be rewarded with prizes.
So if you have a team and are willing to prove that you are the best players within the AJSA sign up your teams NOW to our newest AJSA tournament but do it quickly as only the first 8 teams will be able to compete.
Registration ends for the tournament on the 9th of March at 12:00pm GMT (7:00 AM EST)
The tournament itself will start on the 22nd of March at 12 PM GMT (7AM EST) and will continue through the week until it ends on the 30th of March at 12 PM GMT (7AM EST) though the 31st will be the ending listed incase we need an extra day for the finals and as earlier stated the first 8 teams in will be the only ones allowed to compete.
These times are set so that teams have time to compete during those days and the reason for the longer length is so that everyone can be slightly less stressed in trying to make a match happen so it fits within the the time frame and so that spectators can have more of a chance to watch most of the matches.
This will be a double elimination tournament, so don't worry if your team loses one match as you will have a second chance however if you lose a second time then you are eliminated. Also you are allowed 3 reserves that can be used if 1 member of your team is unable to play at a certain time. They do not need to be registered on the team as long as i am informed of how many reserves your team has (max of 3) and who they are.
Must have a team to participate
Must be at least a recruit on the forums
Must be connected to teamspeak during the tournament
All matches must be played using Captains Mode
A screenshot must be taken at the victory screen to show proof of the result
Teams must make me aware of any events that mean they cannot play any matches on a certain day at least 3 hours before their match

I would like to speak to all team captains and casters before the tournament starts to go over final details also if anyone has any questions regarding the tournament then please message me (craigr910).
All (or most) of the matches will have a caster available so that people can spectate the games and root for your favourite team.
The prizes for this tournament are similar to the last with $25 in steam credit being given to each member of the winning side while $10 worth of keys will be given to each member of the losing team (Losing team must inform me of what type of keys they would like)
Also we are having additional prizes for this tournament for completing certain challenges which will be awarded after the tournament has ended. Each challenge has a reward of a rare/mythical courier which include.
    A Cursed Deathripper

    A Little Green Jade Dragon

    Auspicious Prismatic Drake

    Auspicious Tickled Tego

    & An Auspicious Redhoof

One courier will be warded to the player that completes the following challenges
MVP (player who is decided by myself and other DOTA 2 Game Officers to have been the best player overall)
How the hell did i survive (Player who manages to live even though they really should of died. winner of this award will be decided by the Judging Panel)
This Worked!!?! (Will be awarded to captain who picks a team of heroes that really should not work and wins)
Over 30 (over 30 kills in 1 match)
Level 1 Rosh (awarded to the user who manages to defeat Roshan and take the aegis at level 1
In the event of multiple people completing these challenges then a winner will be decided by the judging panel
Instructions on how to create a team and join a tournament are shown here by fellow AJSA commander LittleMowgli

So gather your friends and make your preparations teams and we shall see you on the field of battle.

Prepare yourself for AJSA Planetside 2 Operation No. 5....
When: Saturday, February 22nd, 2014, Operation will commence at 3PM EST (8PM GMT)
Where: WATERSON Server, AJSA Teamspeak: ts3.ajsagaming.com
How: Platoon and Squad Leaders will create specific Squad Channels in the Teamspeak to match the name of the in-game Squad in PS2. Join the Teamspeak Channel that matches the squad you join in game, so you can hear your Squad Leader!
New members read the "READ HERE" forum post to see a list of Sergeants/Officers to send in-game messages to so you can get invited to the outfit.
What: Our objective during Ops is to play together as a large team and cooperatively fight as an unit semi-seriously, while still having a fun time. Squad members are expected to listen to their Squad Leaders to ensure the AJSA is victorious in battle.
    Event Outline:
Kick-off Phase: Starting Cheesiness - Instant Platoon Orbital Drop

To get into the mood and to announce that the AJSA is here, we will do something together as one large blob, before normal combat operations begin. For this operation, let's try a massive (multi-)platoon size orbital drop; see the reference link above for an idea but multiply by 4! The key is all squad leaders will covertly get to a strategic location, and all squads will perform a coordinated re-deploy to their squad beacons at once. After we all die horribly or crash the Waterson Server, we can begin normal operations.
    Combat Phase:
We will then break off to our platoon and squad assignments. If an Alert has started, we will play the objectives of the alert, otherwise, we will go to hot spots where we are needed (splitting continents if called for).
Racing Phase: AJSA RACING LEAGUE, Race #6: MAX Relay Race!
Once the Combat Phase winds down, we will have another exciting edition of the AJSA Racing League. This time our 6th Official Race will be a MAX Relay Race! This race requires a 3 person team: 2 harasser drivers, and one MAX. The starting Harasser will safely escort their MAX to a certain waypoint on the map, where the MAX will sprint to the waiting second Harasser to try and finish the race. Don't lose your MAX! In the map to be posted below, you can even see the proposed race route, with special notes for the way-points. Congrats again to the Special Op's Sunderer Race Champion Littlemowgli!

    Hey Guys! Angry Joe Here!
Things have been so super crazy for me over these past months its been hard to make regular appearances on the forums and teamspeak! I don't want you guys to think that I'm ignoring or neglecting anything (I've been chopping at the bit for a game we could all play together - but haven't yet found one I'd like to run) so I thought it maybe a good idea instead of trying to pop in every so often to say hi to various people on teamspeak - I could (in addition to that) make a set time where I run a Community Livestream meeting event! This will be bi-weekly for now!
This way people know where I will be to interact with on a set day and a set time! Basically I envision it being me browsing the forums engaging with the community for the first part of the live stream then the second part interact with the livestream chat! We could also use this opportunity to better familiarize our community with our Council Members, Commanders, Officers and Moderators!
I'm still working it all out but I'd like to run a test this upcoming SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16th at 6pm Central on my Twitch account at: twitch.tv/angryjoeshow
See you guys then! And thanks for all your patience and understanding!

VIEW THE RESULTS OF THE SUNDIE HUNT HERE: http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/13884-aar-special-op-great-sundie-hunt-media-round-up/

    By DoctorEvil, in Articles,

From AJSA Special Operations Command, comes our first special operation in Planetside 2! For too long, Smurf and Barney Sundies have gotten off easy, sitting there spawning conga lines of enemies assaulting our bases; this ends now! We're putting a bounty on NC and Vanu Sunderers, and its time for the best 6-person teams to show their stuff. Join us Saturday, February 8th, 3 PM EST (8 PM GMT), as our Sundie Kill Krews try to rack up the most Sunderer kills in a two hour period. Afterwards we'll end the Special Op with the first ever SUNDIE BUMPER CAR RACE! Read below for the full details on how to get ready for the special op...
    WHEN: Saturday, February 8th, 2014; 3 PM EST (2 PM Central/ 8 PM GMT)
WHERE: WATERSON Server, Terran Republic, AJSA Teamspeak Server
HOW: Sundie Hunt Squads must be formed with a maximum of 6 people. Successful teams are encouraged to use our forums and TS to try coordinate your best Sundie killing strategies before the event.
Don't know six people? Don't Worry! We will have a team registration channel an hour before the start of the operation, where you can pair up with interested players and pick your Sundie Hunt team name.
Team leaders will be responsible for keeping track of their kill tally; we'll have a half-time score update and the announce the final tallies at the close of the hunt.
-Teams can have no more than 6 people in their squad.
-The Hunt has no limit in terms of location/continent; scour all 3 continents for your prey!
-Teams should take screenshots (hitting F12 if playing in Steam) of their Sundie kills, these maybe needed to prove suspicious/contested kill numbers.
-Teams will be under the honor system when counting a kill; do you feel your team contributed critically to the destruction of the sundie?
-Only NC and Vanu Sundies will count, no team killing TR Sundies
-Work with your team to come up with the most efficient Sundie killing tactics!
The Team with the most Sunderer kills in the two hour period, will get the following rewards:
    1) Each member of the 6 person squad may choose a custom forum Member Title (the text that is above your avatar pic) as long as it includes the word "Sundie" or "Sunderer"; subject to the limits of good taste.
    2) Winning Sundie team members will have the front line starting positions for the Sunderer Race, as described below...
A Sundie race? Are you mad? Probably. After spending 2 hours killing sundies, we'll hop in our majestic red TR Sunderers and race to glory! This is a bumper car race, meaning no direct firing on fellow racers is allowed, but if you happen to ram another racer off a cliff with the mass of your sundie, who are we to stop you? Keep your eyes posted below for a map of our route for the race. (Warp gates have a habit of rotating before the start of the event).
