Time for another one, albeit a tad bit late...

    By DamionRayne, in Articles,

The AJSA War Thunder clan has officially gone competitive! We've entered the 6v6 War Thunder "Steel Gladiators"

The Team has won their first engagement by a landslide, and achieved 3-0 against their first match up. I'm really proud of these boys as their leader, and I'll be showcasing some more of these matches later when we have the footage.

We've got a 24 Hour long Guild Wars 2 event coming up this weekend, so if you have ever wanted to have a go at GW2 with the AJSA guys, this weekend is the time to get involved!

As it stands, I don't really have anything I consider news at the moment..that was already announced at least. >.> So, got news? Send it my way!

    This is amazeballs dudes....

    BF4 Platoon -
    Teaser Paragraph:

As you know, this guild was brought back to life thanks to all of you and your collective efforts... and to celebrate the completed guild revival, we have decided to hold a 24 hour operation that will cover almost every major aspect of the game. The op will begin on 19th July, at 1 am UTC and end on 20th July at 1 am UTC.

GET HYPED! Watch this video made by Veteran Mladenius (previous winner of a BASOA)

    Event Program:
    1. Complete a map zerg that covers almost every map of Tyria. Along the way, we plan to complete most of the tasks/events, kill champions/world bosses and even hold jumping puzzle races when we can. The red route in the map below will be the main route. The dotted yellow route that goes through Malchor's Leap and Cursed Shore is an optional route, depending on our numbers and morale by the time we reach Straits of Devastation.
Please note that both lines (red and dotted yellow) show the general route, not the specific one (due to terrain obstacles etc).

2.Obsidian sanctum race at the end of the zerg.
    3. Depending on the whether we get a hold of a private PvP server... we'll hold a 16 or 32-man PvP tournament, complete with prizes.
    4. Initiate a mega WvW mega-op with the aim of total domination for the remainder of the 24 hour period.
    - For those who are in other North American servers, they will take part in another PvP tournament, complete fractals/dungeons and take part in defeating world bosses under the guidance of a staff member.
We will be present on both our GW2 channel on TS and on the NSP alliance TS so that we can coordinate with other participating guilds. However, only the people from the NSP server can sign up on their forum/teamspeak. So if you're willing to take part in the WvW segment and you're located in the NSP server, please sign up at:
Once you sign up, you will need to be verified in-game in order to use their TS server for the event i.e. you'll be asked to waypoint to a specific borderland so you can be identified.
For those who are NOT in the NSP server or do not want to take part in the WvW event, please use the AJSA TS for communication in the event. We will have our staff distributed over both TS servers.
    Badass Seal of Approval:
As it has been said by the Commander DoctorEvil, those brave warriors (and mesmers) who stay up ALL 24 hours and play with the guild on Teamspeak, will receive their very own Bad Ass Seal of Approval on their forum profiles, and the everlasting respect and adoration of the AJSA:

We will be doing roll calls on an hourly basis to ensure that people are justly rewarded.
    EU Players:
Unfortunately, for those on EU servers, I deeply apologize that we have left you out of this event. You have been wrongfully neglected for too long and we have prepared a solution for you guys, which will be announced at the beginning of the 24 hour op.
If you have any, feel free to ask here.
    Teaser Paragraph:

Attention soldiers of the AJSA! It’s time for another Battlefield 4 community event!

    By DoctorEvil, in Articles,

This op night/event will take place this Sunday 07/13/2014 9pm GMT (3pm CST).The event will be taking place on the AJSA BF4 server and in the BF4 teamspeak channel @ ts3.ajsagaming.com.
The game mode that we will be playing for this event will be 32 player Squad Deathmatch. So expect a lot of close quarters combat to take place. The maps that we will be playing on will be restricted to just vanilla maps. This is so that people without premium access or any of the map packs can still join and have fun. Be sure to join the AJSA BF4 TS channel too as a lot of teamwork is required to win a squad deathmatch.
Here is the address to the BF4 server: http://battlelog.bat...utoBalance-GGC/
If you want to join the AJSA BF4 platoon, send an invite here:http://battlelog.bat...60504393077016/

Do you have any ideas for future BF4 events? If so, please post your ideas here: http://angryjoeshow....our-ideas-here/

If you have any questions about the event or anything BF4 related, PM our BF4 game officer, AverageSpacePope.
See you all on the Battlefield!
    Teaser Paragraph:

The biggest E-sport event in the world is going on right now, keep reading to find out how to watch and discuss with your fellow AJSA members!

    By Craigr910, in Articles,

Right now in Seattle 16 of the biggest DOTA 2 teams are competing at The International 4 (TI4) for the biggest prize pool in E-sports history which currently stands at $10.5 million. This is a landmark moment for all E-sports and we here in the AJSA wish to help people who are interested in watching the matches.
    First off some FAQ
    What is the International
The International is a Valve run event which stretches from the 8th of July to the 21st of July and the main event is being held at the Key Arena in Seattle

The prize fund for this event has always been high as valve always donates $1.6 million to the pool however this year the Dota 2 community has managed to increase the prize pool to its current state thanks to the Compendium, a virtual event guide with in-game rewards for people who use them.
Now there are many of you who know what Dota 2 is but may never of tried it or you've tried it and never really enjoyed playing but enjoy the spectator angle of it, luckily Valve have decided to add a newbie broadcast this year which will have casters explaining all the complicated things associated with Dota 2 such as buyback, denying, BKB's RNGJesus, Ratdota, trilanes and why Skywrath Mage is kicking everyone's ass you can find this stream here. http://www.twitch.tv/dota2ti_noob
All the TI4 games can be viewed on Twitch with multiple streams covering all the games or you can just use the multicast stream which will capture all the big moments and play them on that stream which can be found here http://www.twitch.tv/dota2ti
If you have Dota 2 installed you can also watch them in-game by going to the "Watch" tab and clicking on the International 2014 tournament.
A full schedule for the International can be found here http://www.dota2.com...al/watch/July9/
I hope this helps many of you who are not usually into Dota 2 but are interested in the International and would like to watch it. Of course, you can always log into our Teamspeak (ts3.ajsagaming.com) and join other viewers in the AJSA DOTA 2 channel.

    Teaser Paragraph:

Hold on to your butts! The AJSA Planetside 2 Outfit is having it's Ninth Official Operation this Saturday! Come back to Planetside 2 and try out the new continent Hossin, or our new merged server EMERALD. Better yet, come see the spectacle that will be the AJSA Racing League's first Galaxy Race!

    By DoctorEvil, in Articles,

When: Saturday, July 12th, 2014, Operation will commence at 1PM EST (6PM GMT)
Where: EMERALD Server, AJSA Teamspeak: ts3.ajsagaming.com
How: Platoon and Squad Leaders will create specific Squad Channels in the Teamspeak to match the name of the in-game Squad in PS2. Join the Teamspeak Channel that matches the squad you join in game, so you can hear your Squad Leader!
New members read the "READ HERE" forum post to see a list of Sergeants/Officers to send in-game messages to so you can get invited to the outfit.
What: Our objective during Ops is to play together as a large team and cooperatively fight as an unit semi-seriously, while still having a fun time. Squad members are expected to listen to their Squad Leaders to ensure the AJSA is victorious in battle.
    Event Outline:
Kick-off Phase: Starting Cheesiness - Stalker: Call of Trolling
To get into the mood and to announce that the AJSA is here, we will do something together as one large blob, before normal combat operations begin. For this operation, we are doing some Stalker Cloak trolling!
Some Details from Officer Conan: "We'll invade a base, probably by spawn beacon dropping, with everybody coming in as Infiltrators with stalker cloaks (you have rank one available per default), then we just troll the enemy by hacking their shit, flipping capture point and shooting/stabbing them in the back. As you might know Stalker cloaks enable you to stay invisible basically indefinitely, seeing as they recharge, instead of burn energy while not moving, hence you can remain completely still."
After we all die horribly or realize our worthlessness as Infiltrators, we can begin normal operations.
    Combat Phase:
We will then break off to our platoon and squad assignments. If an Alert has started, we will play the objectives of the alert, otherwise, we will go to hot spots where we are needed (splitting continents if called for, but with a focus on the new continent of Hossin).
Racing Phase: AJSA RACING LEAGUE, Race #10: 1st Ever GALAXY Race!
Once the Combat Phase winds down, we will have another exciting edition of the AJSA Racing League. This time our 10th Official Race will be a GALAXY RACE! BIG IS BEAUTIFUL!

The First Place Winner of the Race will receive the lovely AJSA Racing League Champion Award on the forums. View the award and our hall of champions here: http://angryjoeshow....w&do=spec&id=10
    and don't forget:
    AJSA Event MVP

Officers and Sergeants will be on the lookout for the player who best exemplifies the AJSA during this event. This means players who not only demonstrate skill on the battlefield, but are great team members as well. A player who meets those high standards for this event will receive the new AJSA Champion Award to adorn their forum profile!
Note, that a MVP is not guaranteed to be awarded every Op, you have to earn it!
    Teaser Paragraph:

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE NINE! We just need more than 9 people to sign up as the AJSA can have a 21 player team in official tournaments.

    By Phill, in Articles,

Welcome everybody to the AJSA TF2 sign ups for Highlander leagues! This includes European and North American leagues.
    The Rules!
THERE CAN BE! ONLY ONE!! Of each class! That's right, no teams that consist of 3 snipers, 2 spies, 2 scouts, 3 engineers, and one Soldier. It's all of one class only making up a team of 9 mercs! Each member of their team must use their strengths to help each other out in order to cap points faster, push the cart faster than the other, defend harder, and win together! Each group consists of one of these classes, and ONLY ONE, no more and no less than what is posted below:
    1 Scout
    1 Soldier
    1 Pyro
    1 Demoman
    1 Heavy
    1 Engineer
    1 Medic
    1 Sniper
    1 Spy

We will also be closely following UGC rules and regulations regarding play, this means small things like spawn camping will be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, so watch yourselves and be familiar with the rules!

For now we'll just start with sign-ups and play, anybody who has joined the AJSA or Steam Group is eligible. I will have classes listed below with the names of those who want to play as that class. Just remember... not everybody can play as a soldier, sniper, or spy.
You can chose 3 classes maximum for what you wish to try out as. Your username will be listed below the classes you sign up for. To sign up, just comment in the sign up thread: http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/20680-highlander-try-outs/ .
