    Whew! WOW!
What a day, man. It's been crazy as hell over here among command during launch day for The New Angry Army! I am really taken aback and humbled by how much support you guys have shown me and our new community!
Get this... 5,814 members, apart from our stealth launch where we got around 300 members, all came within just one day--less even! We launched around 3:00 P.M central time. So, it's actually only been about nine hours! LOL, wowie!
Good GOD! You see, this is why; this is exactly why. I really respect the fact that when I make a video or ask for your support, you guys come through. That's why I tried my best and worked my butt off to create something that looked good and had some of the best features around for you. Now, I'm nowhere near finished, but now that you have shown us so much support, I'm only going to redouble my efforts to make this the best community we can make it!
As a direct result, you guys obliterated my dedicated server, lol. The site went down almost immediately. I got on the phone ASAP, and was troubleshooting and tweaking the settings with my host nearly the whole way through!
I apologize for the crashes and slow loading times. Angry Bot on Teamspeak which assigns you guys the correct permissions also got knocked the eff out by your might, lol. I'm currently repairing him with his creator.

Anyway, the server people tell me that even with my current configuration there is not much else they can do if we plan to maintain these levels of traffic or if we continue to push very directed youtube traffic to the servers at one time. They have recommended me adding one, possibly two, servers and even a load balancer that should be able to offset this in the future. Unfortunately, that's pretty expensive. They are putting together some options for us and will get back on Friday.
On the flip side, we absolutely destroyed our November site and server goals. Hell, it was at 95% just from the stealth launch users alone! So, what may end up having to happen is we will need to raise this goal to cover the costs of running those new servers if we decide to upgrade and add 'em! I want to personally thank (and have been in the forums) everyone who has donated so far, and everyone who has signed up to the Club Memberships we offer; the Club Memberships allow us to know for sure how much the guild treasury will have each month to cover our costs and allow us to do some of the cool things we have planned! Thanks to everyone who helped, and to those who plan to help in the future!
There's still much I have to do! There's more people and club members to thank in the forums, plus features to fix and upgrade for the site. Please stay tuned for that!
Also, the AJSA Recruitment video will be going up on AngryJoeShow YouTube tomorrow, so please be on the lookout for it and give it another view! Spread the word, too! See you guys then.

    By Angry Joe, in Frontpage,

    Fellow Gamers,
During the 4 years of running the Angry Joe Show I attempted to start individual AJS Guilds for games that I was incredibly excited about, Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2, etc. Each time we did so our numbers swelled to massive levels, thousands of members in a matter of hours, even more within days. But each time its been difficult for me with all my other responsibilities as a one-man show to run the day to day operations of these Guilds. I watched them grow to influential and powerful levels for the short times they were active, then over time when I've had to move on to reviewing the next game for the Angry Joe Show they slowly dissipated into the annuals of that games history. Without my presence, without my continued support, without me helping run the day to day operations they would eventually fade away. That fact has pained me each time.
So, this time I've decided to go full-in and spare no expense to create what I've always intended for the Angry Army. A real permanent long term GAMING COMMUNITY, with all the important infrastructure a multi-game community needs. Where fans and like-minded gamers of all types can play together under a single banner. Where I can remain involved with weekly streaming events even after I move on to new Game Reviews. Angry Army Servers for us to play on. Periodic Community Tournaments and Prizes. A talent search for the best most skilled players to form competitive Angry Army teams that can be sent to complete in E-Sport Events. And with hopefully some luck and success eventually, an annual community meet-up in real life!

Today marks that day, the Launch of the brand New Angry Army, otherwise known as the AJSA!
Over the next few days, i'll put out a call to all able-bodied soldiers to take up arms, to fight as one on the fields of battle, for Honor and for Glory - separate we are powerful but together we are UNSTOPPABLE. We will storm the beaches, darken the sky with arrows, and cut down anything that stands in our way under a hail of gunfire. Imagine our might, as we fight for the integrity of the games we play, if we work to enhance them, to right their wrongs to help fix their deficiencies along with the community managers of each game. Using Amy contacts i've developed in the industry and having our AJSA actively participate in that games community, hopefully game developers will take notice of our specific wants and needs. From our combined feedback we can work to not only participate actively in these various game communities but to improve them!
Over the past month I have poured myself into creating this new site and making sure it has all the awesome features people have come to expect from the best most premier gaming communities! I have surrounded myself with passionate and determined officers who will be able to run the gaming communities day to day needs, where in I can oversee and make major decisions and participate in our regular events! Some of these people you know from the early days of my show like Tons0Fun or Oda Nobunaga, others are new faces who have helped me build this new community to the level it is today like Sgt.Ross, Delrith, and Mortraven. And of course all my current Commanders and Officers who have been carried over from previous individual incarnations of the Angry Army!
Together along with myself these people will form The Council. Who will govern and oversee the communities needs and health. They will then be on the search to find natural born leaders for Commander and Officer positions who can organize game events, moderate the forums, and manage the Angry Army day to day!
I hope you will consider Joining Us! Take a moment to review our Rules & Policies and if everything sounds good to you, sign up as soon as you can! See you there!

    By Guest, in Templates,

When you edit content in IP.Content, whether it be blocks, templates or pages, there are many built in tags that you will need to or want to utilize in order to generate the content appropriately. Blocks have variables containing data that may be of use to your users. Page templates have variables that perform important functions, such as inserting the page title or marking where the page content should be displayed. It is nearly impossible to simply remember every variable that can be utilized in your pages and templates.
IP.Content features a template tag help panel that you can use to alleviate this problem. The panel can be minimized if you don't need it (and your preference is remembered so you won't have to minimize it each time you load a new template to edit). The panel is tabbed, providing you with various tag options based on the specific content you are editing. Database templates will show you the database tags you will need to use, while blocks will show you the variables being passed into the block template. You are able navigate some of the tabs when necessary in order to better determine the appropriate variables for the specific area you are editing.
A small icon is shown next to each tag, and clicking this icon will insert it into your templates automatically wherever the cursor is blinking. You need not manually copy and paste the tag - simply click to insert!
Some tags will have additional information or perhaps a relevant example of the data it represents. These tags will have an arrow indicator next to them to let you know that you can click on the arrow to view further details about that specific tag.
This panel is always available and dynamically adjusts to the type of content you are editing. It is but one small feature available in IP.Content designed to help you build your site the way you want, as efficiently as possible.
