  • By RuneX, in Frontpage,

Hello there, thanks for stopping in and checking out our Xbox article for this week. Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. I'd like to give thanks to all those who came out to play during our Game Nights this month. It is always a pleasure us coming together to have fun and kicking ass across a variety of games. This past weekend did mark our last set of events for February with Minecraft and Super Street Fighter IV being there to close out the festivities. We have a set of Game Nights coming up to welcome us to March. There will be no Game Night this Saturday due to a staff meeting. Our March outline for Game Nights will be published next Monday as a result of the meeting. Thank you for understanding and thank you for being awesome!
    February Recap
In February 2019 we featured these titles as Game Nights:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Halo: Master Chief Collection Human Fall Flat Minecraft Mortal Kombat X Overwatch Star Wars: Battlefront II Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition The Division Mortal Kombat X and Street Fighter IV were part of our special 'Kountdown to Kombat' Fight Night series.

In February 2019 we made these videos for the AJSA Gaming Youtube channel:
Division 2 Private Beta Gameplay Crackdown 3 Launch Day Co-Op Mortal Kombat X Fight Night Highlights Overwatch Game Night Highlights Minecraft
Our Game Night for Minecraft this past weekend was both enlightening and action packed as participants took part in a tour of the community Lodge area and an Expedition to the far west. Members receivied a tour of the Angry Army Archives where AJSA Realm Librarian and Chief Architect, Dylmah, showed off members his near year long quest to chronicle the history of our Minecraft world. We were all very thankful for Dylmah who has put in so much time and effort building and maintaining the Archives.
We also took a tour the newly built, and massive, Sick Stadium (our first Sports Arena in the Realm), the redesigned Lodge gardens, viewed PixalArt, and more. We showed off a ton of new structures that folks have built since the last event, sharing their creations with their fellow members of the community. It was an awesome opportunity for people to share their hard work and talk about their buildings in front of others.
Following the tour we took part in our first Expedition of 2019, travelling to the far west to a recently discovered Snow Biome. This Expedition was led by longtime member and fellow Realm Chief Architect, O0PP34, who had participants solve clues, overcome obstacles, and challenges to uncover Winterfell, a new outpost in the Snow Biome. This is our first major settlement since the Lodge was constructed last year when the Realm was created. Our Winterfell mansion was also built by O0PP34 and we all would like to extend our sincerest thanks to him for organizing the Expedition and building us this amazing castle in the Snow Biome.

Highlight video from the Overwatch Game Night held on February 16th, 2019. This video captures two matches we had from our Evolve/Monster vs Hunter and 5v5 Assault custom games. This is meant to really capture the Game Night party chat, randomness, jokes, and gameplay from members without too much editing. Enjoy!

    By RuneX, in Frontpage,

Hello all, welcome to another week of gaming! I'd like to say thank you to all those who came out to play this past weekend during our Halo, Human Fall Flat, and Mortal Kombat X Game Nights. I'm always happy to the community coming together to play and have fun because you know at the end of the day that is what is all about. Sticking together, kicking ass, and having a good time. I'd like to recognize in particular our kick off to 'Kountdown to Kombat' Fight Night series last night on Sunday and I felt we really knocked it out of the park. Everyone played really well and there were plenty of laughs going around. The Fight Night lasted for over five hours and we didn't close up shop until after midnight. It was truly awesome! Special thanks to our Fight Nights organizer, Shao Sick [Sickshock6], and all our Kombatants who fought. We're gearing up for another weekend of multiplayer goodness with the return of Overwatch and Black Ops 4 plus a field trip to New York City in The Division. Cya at the events!

On February 7th, 2019 we gathered up a few AJSA members on Xbox to play the Division 2 Private Beta. We recorded our mishaps and adventures to share with the community. This is our first Xbox video for 2019 on the AJSA Gaming Youtube channel. We hope to put our more of our regular event highlight videos in the coming weeks and months to get back to normal schedule. Thank you to Dylmah, Fuzzball, Garza, Sickshock, and Spartan for playing and being part of the video. Enjoy!

Weekly Game Night Schedule - February 15th to February 17th

How can I attend a Game Night? - For new members/first time Game Night participants, I highly encourage you to add all the hosts as your friend on Xbox Live (Gamertags are listed for every host below). We also encourage you to join the community Xbox Club (all hosts can be found in the Club roster as well). We use the Club for a variety of purposes to unite members of the community and play together. As an extra reminder for new members, please make sure to review our Code of Conduct.
To learn more about the AJSA on Xbox One, visit out our Community Information thread.
For Game Nights and other community activities we use the 'Xbox Live Party' that are created from the Club for communication, gatherings, and other purposes. In the case of an emergency where Xbox Live is down and we need to group up, we will use the AJSA Discord channel as a backup. In our parties we fully accept and make adjustments for people who are shy in groups and/or for people who have no mics.
If by chance you do not have a Game Night host on your friend list, please message the host for an invite to the game/party during the Game Night and then exchange friend requests upon entry to the party. All Game Night parties will be visible to Xbox Club members under the "Looking for Group" section. You can join the party via the Club or through the profile of the host.
If you would like to give advance notice to the host that you would like to participate in a particular Game Night, you are free to do so. If you have any questions, please reach out to any members of the AJSA Xbox One staff and we will be happy to assist you.
All Game Nights are casual gatherings aimed at bringing people together to have a good time and enjoy their games in a group setting.
