Hey everyone, hope you're all doing great and the season is treating you well. In this article we're showcasing what activities we have planned out for you this week on Xbox. Information on both our scheduled Events and Game Nights are listed below. We're also one week away from 'Special Operations: New Worlds' where here on Xbox we will be playing Minecraft in a cross-play event with the PC Division. Stay tuned for the weekend for a second article outlining the Special Operation activities across the community. In the mean time we have plenty of games lined up before then. Let's get ready to play!

Featured Game Nights [July 18th & July 22nd]
Xbox Game Nights were introduced back in January of this year. These are local AJSA Xbox Club activities that are normally held during days where we have no events scheduled. These organized play sessions are structured to be more loose and laidback, creating more opportunities for us as a community to reach out to more games and play even more with each other.
For additional information on Game Nights/Weekly Events, check out our Xbox Community Information thread.
Wednesday July 18th - PUBG - 7:00pm EST - Host: Sickshock6 Sunday July 22nd - Zombie Army Trilogy - 7:30pm EST - Host: Rune Zombie Army Trilogy is part of the Xbox Game Pass.
AJSA Xbox One Weekly Event Schedule [July 17th to July 21st]
How Can I Join An Xbox One Event? - For new members/first time event participants, I highly encourage you to add all the hosts as your friend on Xbox Live (Gamertags are listed for every host below). You can also join the AJSA Xbox Club and add hosts/members there. All event and game night parties are launched from the Club. Additionally, please review our Code of Conduct.
Communication during events are done primarily in the Xbox Live Party system. In case of emergency, we will use the AJSA Discord Channel. We accept and make adjustments for people who are shy in large groups and/or for people who have no mics.
If by chance you do not have the host as a friend, please message the host for an invite to the game/party during the event and then exchange friend requests upon entry to the party. Most, if not all, event parties will be visible to all Xbox Club members. Look under "Looking for Group" at the start/during an event to view the event party and join up.
If you would like to give advance notice to the host that you would like to play, you are free to do so. Otherwise keep note of the event start times and join the host's Xbox Live party to begin. Xbox Game Nights were introduced back in January of this year. These are local AJSA Xbox Club activities that are normally held during days where we have no events scheduled. These organized play sessions are structured to be more loose and laidback, creating more opportunities for us as a community to reach out to more games and play even more with each other.

AJSA Xbox One Weekly Event Schedule [July 10th to July 14th]
If you have any questions, please contact me directly at "RuneX" on the forums or on Xbox Live. To learn more about the AJSA Xbox One Division, check out our Community Information thread.

COD: World War II - Xbox One Event - Tues. July 10th, 2018 @7:30pm EST (12:30am GMT)

Call of Duty: World War II is returning to kick off our first full week of Xbox events for July! Squad up with the AJSA this Tuesday night as we take part in 'Liberty Strike', a new seasonal in-game activity. Double XP, new weapons, special contracts/orders, and other rewards await!
During this event we will feature both online and custom game modes for attendees to participate in. We'll also be playing the new mode introduced with Liberty Strike, 'Wanderlust'. Many Orders/Challenges involve this mode so we'll aim to get as many Orders completed as possible so people can earn new weapons/gear as a group. Additionally, for those interested in the Zombies experience, we can set up groups for Zombies mode as well.
We don't care about K/D, just about having a good time! DLC is not required to participate in this event.
Interested in attending this event? Have any questions/concerns? Please reach out to our host and point of contact for COD: World War II, StraightUpMelon.

Fortnite: Battle Royale - Xbox One Event - Thurs. July 12th, 2018 @7:30pm EST (12:30am GMT)

Join us this Thursday night for our Fortnite: Battle Royale as we drop in on the first day of Season 5! Fortnite: Battle Royale's very exciting and fun Season 4 is coming to end. Many questions and theories have been sprawling around the internet about what Fortnite will have in store for players in Season 5, releasing this Thursday.
What is going on with that crack in the sky? Is is opening up a new dimension of time and space?! Are we getting a new map?!?! Season 5 will undoubtedly answer these questions and the AJSA on Xbox will be there to experience it.
Players of all skill levels are welcome to play. Victory Royales are nice but are not the primary focus. We're here to have a good time, kick some arse, and last as long as we can! We also like to build forts! If the 'Playground' mode is still active we'll get squads up for people to play that as well.
For those who have yet to experience Fortnite: Battle Royale in an AJSA group setting or you've never played the game before consider coming out this Thursday night and play for a few hours. With Season 5 coming out, this is a great time to get into the action. If you have any questions about this upcoming event, please reach out to our hosts. Thank you!

    Gigantic - Xbox One Event - Fri. July 13th, 2018 @7:30pm EST (12:30am GMT)

This Friday night we are gathering for a special event for 'Gigantic', a free to play third-person Hero shooter. Back in January 2018 it was unfortuntely announced that this game was being shut down and that the servers would go offline on July 31st, 2018. Many of us here in the Xbox group would like to give Gigantic one final event before the game goes offline, playing together and having fun to give the game a nice sendoff.
We'll be playing in a mix of online and custom modes in an attempt to cover everything the game has to offer. As part of their 'Final Update' (link included above) all the Heroes are available to the public so people can enjoy and play as whatever Hero they want without any restriction.
We understand that for many folks this may be your first time playing Gigantic. If you want to learn a bit more about the game and how to play before the event, please consider checking out this 'Gigantic 101 - How to Play' guide. The hosts of the event will also be there assist new players. Once you get the basic controls set up, you'll be fine!
We hope you can join us for this final battle and help send off Gigantic on a positive note!

AJSA Special Operations: New Worlds [July 2018]

    By RuneX, in Frontpage,

AJSA Special Operation - July 2018 - Announcement
Join the Angry Army this July for Special Operations: New Worlds! Travel across land, sea, and space that will bring the community together in an epic journey of world exploration, discovery, and adventure.
Across PC and console members will be engaging exciting and awe-inspiring voyages. On Playstation 4 you will be taking part in an interplanetary enterprise across the galaxy on No Man's Sky. On PC and Xbox One you will be taking part in a cross-play adventure spanning new lands and deep sea on Minecraft.
Special Operations: New Worlds will have you document your journey as you team up with your friends to build, travel, and explore. To archive and share your experiences with the community, you can:
Take screenshots/pictures Record video Stream Keep a log/journal Discover a new planet on No Man's Sky? Take pictures, take notes on the environment, or even set up a base there to call home on. Discover an underwater sea temple on Minecraft? Write down the coordinates, rally your friends to explore the structure together, and uncover hidden secrets. Hear the calling and join us in these New Worlds!
    Event Information
This article will serve as a formal announcement of the Special Operation. An article on July 21st will cover complete details and outlines of the events part of the Special Operation. However in preparation we'd still like to share with you some information we think is important for you to know:
This Special Operation will span across two days. The Minecraft event in particular will be broken up into two days, with one portion of the event being held on Friday July 27th and the other on Saturday July 28th. The No Man's Sky event will take place on Saturday July 28th. For No Man's Sky, Playstation 4 participants will need to have the 'No Man's Sky NEXT' update installed. This is a free update being released on July 24th that will introduce multiplayer and other cool features to the game that you'll experience while participating in the event. For Minecraft we will be using the Xbox community world that they've been using since August 2017 for the cross-play activities. We have set up an online 'Minecraft Realm' to allow for easy access and play between PC/Xbox members (Nintendo Switch members are invited too!) PC participants must have the Minecraft: Windows 10 version to participate and gain access to the Realm. If you have an old version of Minecraft you can log into your Mojang account, go to https://account.mojang.com/me and click on 'Claim Your Free Copy'. This will allow you to upgrade your version of Minecraft to the most current one. While Realms is a great way to cross-play, there is a limit of 10 people online on a Realm at once. To ensure everyone can get to play we will be breaking up the event into two portions (as noted above) so we can have as many people get the opportunity to play as possible. Invites to the Realm will be distributed during the Minecraft events. The Realm will continue to operate after the Special Operation is over so any PC members who gain access to the Realm are free to return and play when they do choose. For additional info on Minecraft Realms, check out this link. Have any questions? Please reach out to us and/or leave a comment down in this article. We will be happy to be of assistance! Thank you and see you at the end of July.
