The whole situation is bullshit. They are going down the same slope Youtube did, and we all saw what happened. I try to explain things to a few friends, one of whom writes for a online gaming magazine, but they defend this bullshit. Their answer "Well just don't play music" My response "They are blocking off even their own streams, Twitch is censoring Twitch streams for gods sake. They are attacking for game music as well. If your game has any kind of bgm your done son" This is how far these copyright assholes go. Their job is make as much money as possible by coming up with bullshit claims and attacking the little people that make a few bucks here and there when someone likes their content. They aren't even making bank off streamers or youtubers, they think they are, but they aren't. It's like suing a guy for a million bucks even though he makes only a dollar a year, but they think he has money so their gona try and steal that dollar. Cause hell, in a million years they'll make that million off ya. Yeah I'm using a very out there example but the premise is the same. Their suing for peanuts and expecting gold.

I frustrates me that people are so used to mediocrity that when a game with such artistic merit as this comes out, people overlook it.

The smooth gameplay, the flawless story, the engaging characters and the beautifully crafted world.

It handles it's theme in a mature and sensible way and shows respect for women like no other game i've ever seen.

Ashe is a great overall ADC and has a lot ( and I mean A LOT ) of things which can help the team. The ultimate alone is probably worth picking her up - it's pretty much the only ADC intitiation skill, along with Varus' ult, which is also great but far, FAR easier to whiff.

I can understand why she's not viable in the current meta, however. Nowadays, ADCs are used for their pushing power simply because until the late stages of the game all they do is scratch tanks. This is because tank stats are far, FAR cheaper than damage stats and thus ADCs aren't really contributing much until the later stages of the game. Nowadays, it's all about the turret pressure, and Ashe simply doesn't have as much pressure as, say, Lucian, who builds a trinity ( sheen proc shreds turrets quite quickly ) and has a second auto with his passive. Also, if the skill levels are fairly equal, the current ADC FotMs will push out Ashe most of the time, at least until level 6, and even then, it's all about who initiates first.

Ashe is incredibly OP in soloq though, simply because those initiations can win games. And they do. Often.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, onto the guide itself. It is pretty well written, but I feel like it lacks some things. One very key that I feel like needs mentioning is that Ashe has a range of 600, which is actually quite high. Very few other ADCs have the range to match without some sort of skill ( Kog W, Trist passive, Jinx Q, Caitlyn, and that's about it ). In addition, Ashe's W is insanely long ranged and that warrants a mention. It also has a laughable cooldown ( 4s I believe ). Also, you forgot to mention that her E actually gives her extra gold per CS - I think it got changed recently, but it used to be +1/2/3/4/5 gold/creep and it is incredibly useful for those heavy farming games. It also allows her to snowball faster from farm. It is not inconsequencial.

I feel like the item build lacks any sort of real explanation as to why it is that way. Granted, almost every ADC builds a cookie cutter build nowadays, but try to explain your choices at least a little bit. The Doran's blade explanation is fine, but try to explain every pick up, and try to explain when you need to build another item than the one listed ( Guardian Angel for example - there are a ton of items you can substitute that with, and every item depends on the situation at hand - Warmog, Randuin's Omen, Banshee's Veil, Spirit Visage, Mercurial Scimitar are all viable defensive item picks. Explain as to when to use them on that particular champion and which ones are more effective. )

Also, I'd really like certain match ups and support synergy explanations, but that's just me wanting a lot of stuff. It's still great to explain in a couple of sentences as to what to expect from a particular lane, I feel. Just nitpicking here though.

Bottom line, well written, but could use a bit more explanation with those item builds. Also, if you have any, give us your Ashe tricks! For example, I learned from Reddit that Ashe's ult animation makes it visible a split second before it is fired: Ashe raises her bow vertically just before firing, and with good reflexes you can flash out of the arrow. You know, if you had neat things like that, it'd be great ^^. Oh, and a video of Genja flashing because of such prediction:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, that Heartseeker skin is what I'd get if I wasn't such a poor bastard. Will make me play Ashe a lot more than I do now, and that's a great skin. Skin + splash = I'm sold. Well played Riot, well played.
  5. Apex Spartan liked a post in a topic by lordvetynari in How do you treat your Support?
Nobody tends to respect supports, but they are very important for the team, and are not easy to play at all. Not only do they hold a hefty amount of the bot lane control early game, they are often strong initiatiors and/or peelers for their whole team, as well. They also control vision quite a bit, even though now they can only place 4 wards ( Christmas tree map from support wards R.I.P ).

In the lower brackets, they practically carry the ADCs through the early game, as well - although to be honest, bot lane is more about how well the duo works together rather than "support carries the whole lane" or "ADC carries everything".

Oh, and supports carry all the support items, as well - you know, whenever somebody has Talisman of Ascencion, Mikael's, Sightstone, etc, it's usually the support and not somebody else, just so that player can focus on tankiness/damage/what have you. A good support will have all those items, peel for his carries and generally keep people alive, and we all know that death is the strongest CC.

As an ADC player myself, I have great respect for all my supports. Besides, I play support myself when ADC is taken - I believe that all ADC players need to have at least some experience supporting and vice versa. It's good for positioning, different role thought processes, and gives you an appreciation of the support/ADC you're with.

Respect the other person who you're sharing the lane with - that way, you both play better and have a better time!

I'm a bit bored right now for some reason so I decided to spend some time here on this topic and talk a bit and give you some tips on Ashe, my favorite ADC...if you can tell from my avatar and signature. =)
    So...let's get started!

    ASHE, THE FROST ARCHER

    -------------------------------------
    ABOUT ASHE
    -------------------------------------

Before I go on deeper into the guide, I wish to talk about some concerns about Ashe. Lots of people I played with or forum posts I read regarding Ashe, lots of people have a strong opinion on Ashe and say she is a noob champion. Now, what does a "noob champion" mean to people? If I had to guess, a noob champion would mean the champion is easy to play and doesn't bring anything good to the team. Please correct me, if I'm wrong, but that's what I think it means. Now is Ashe really, a noob and useless champion? From what I've experienced, people believe she is not a good ADC due to a number of reasons; Squishy, item-dependent, no escape, slow movement speed and a couple of other things. I strongly agree to these things, but her movement speed from mid-game to late can be easily be taken care of by simply buying the required boots so I do not really see the point of it, that is not the real issue. However, Ashe has no escape, making her a highly risky champion to play with. Lot of players that played Ashe in my or enemy team that I met, played Ashe a bit too agressive. My friends that I play with often tell me not to play Ashe, "take someone else please". I simply answer them, "I'm best with Ashe and have most fun with her" and it's true. Most ADC games I win, I win with Ashe. Her ultimate is probably one of the best in the game by my opinion, but it takes some skill and lots of practice to master it, specially nailing it from long distances. Lots of Ashe players that I saw tend to use her ulty to last hit <------- BIG MISTAKE!

A lot of people that I met are a little too hard on Ashe and often say, "take another adc." Why? Now this is my opinion, but in good hands, Ashe can be a very effective, not to mention a team winning ADC. Her ultimate alone, is a team fight changer. You know that moment when your 4 teammates just run around waiting for the enemy team to initiate a fight?  And then Ashe decides to fire her ultimate and focus it on the right enemy and all of a sudden your entire team decides to turn off that stalemate state and they all attack? In a few seconds, the focused target is down and Ashe's team wins the fight. That is what I love about Ashe, power of her crowd control and her ultimate...it can be used to stun targets, escape, if you are lucky to have your ultimate, intiate teamfights and not to mention how many lives I've saved by stunning enemies who were chasing my fellow teammates with low HP. People underestimate Ashe and her abilities a little too much. In the right hands, she can beat about any ADC...after all, it's not a champion who wins the game, but the player. You are the one who is controlling the champion and not vice versa. =)

    ------------------------------
    ASHE'S ABILITIES
    ------------------------------
Ashe's abilities are quiet powerful. Even in early game, her W alone can deal quiet a nice amount of damage and at the same time slows the enemy, alowing you to quickly fire a few more auto attacks, giving you the upper hand.
Personally, every time I play Ashe, first ability I unlock is her W. It's quiet a powerful ability and, if you get fed, her W with right builds, can deal pretty big amount of damage and not to mention, it's cooldown is small late game. But before I go on, let's list her abilities and describe them

    FROST SHOT (Q)
Her first ability and quiet an effective one. Combining her Q with a W can be a very effective way to piss off your enemies and make them back out. Luring them under a tower, then use your W, quickly switch to Q can give you that one vital second to finish off your target, if low HP or deal quiet some damage, if full HP. Be careful though that early game, her Q wastes a lot of mana.

    VOLLEY (W)
Probably my favorite ability and a very powerfull one. Volley deals quiet nice amount of damage early game, allowing you to poke your opponent and at the same time fire a few auto attacks before the opponent recovers from the W slow. Although early game the cooldown is quiet big and it wastes quiet a big amount of mana, from mid to late game, it's a very powerfull ability, allowing you to spam it and deal quiet nice amounts of damage. In teamfights you can use to deal damage to multiple opponents. Because her W fires multiple arrows, it isn't really easy to miss with it. Like I said previously, combining her W and Q can deal quiet nice damage and you can easily poke your opponents.

    HAWKSHOT (E)
Not much to say about this ability rather that it gives you a great way to scout a small amount of area. I often use it when I face supports who often like to hide in bushes, waiting to pull me in.  It's quiet a nice active which doesn't waste mana. It's cooldown is quiet large, but since the last patch, cooldown on her E has been reduced. A great active to scout an area, reveal a bush and even use to steal Barron, giving you a few vital seconds to see it's HP and how many enemy champions are attacking it. Quiet a useful ability, but not many Ashe players I saw know to use it or even bother to unlock it.

    Enchanted Crystal Arrow ®
Ah, my favorite. The game changer. Use this baby right and you can change the tides of teamfights, you can hunt down opponents and to mention, if you are lucky to have it on time, it can allow you to escape. This stun can save teammates, save turrets and turn the tide of a battle. Use it right and you will dominate. Although it requires quiet a lot of practice to master it, it is a greatly rewarding experience when you use it right. My tip is, NEVER use her ultimate to try and last hit unless you are ONE vs ONE, but even then, it's better to use a little earlier, giving you a few vital seconds to deal damage and in the end finish your opponent. Ashe's ulty is all about helping your team and get some sweet kills on lane. Many players underestimate Ashe, "Ah, she is squisy, let's dive in." Nope! Fire your ulty, allow your support to do some damage and at the same time, land your W, bit of Q and the opponent is sure dead. What makes a good Ashe player is the knowledge to know how and when to use her ultimate. In the wrong hands, it might as well be totally useless. In the right hands, it's a devestating and a very annoying ulty for the enemy team. If you know how to fire it and when to fire it, you are guaranteed a kill early to mid game on your lane.

     Focus (passive)

Not a bad a passive. I always like to block my attack using "S" when my passive is ready and deal some extra damage early game. The shot should then deal over 100 damage depending on the enemy champion's armor.
Quiet useful ability, but best in early game. I wouldn't say it's the best passive though.

    -------------------------------------
    GAMEPLAY TIPS
    -------------------------------------

    -EARLY GAME

When playing Ashe, it is important to NEVER go too agressive on your opponent early game, specially, if it's someone who deals quiet a lot of damage early game. I will use Jinx here as an example. Her damage is quiet good early game and her Q allows her to do even more damage and it increases her range. When playing against such champions with Ashe, always remember to find an opening and poke with your W. It deals quiet amount of damage, slowing your opponent down and allowing you to maybe deal one more shot with Q and also allows your support to deal a few hits. If you have a good support, he/she will know when to deal damage and create an opening.
Make sure you farm as much as possible. Farming with Ashe is quiet easy due to her elegant and slick animation, making it easier to notice when she will fire so that you can be ready for the last hit.

    -MID TO LATE GAME

As soon as you reach level 6, you MUST not forget to unlock your ulty. It will raise your chances for an easy kill. One thing risky with Ashe is that she is item-dependent, so you must FARM and try to score a kill from early to mid game so that you can have an advantage later. Mid to late game is probably Ashe's best, if you are fed. However, if you go behind and till late game you are not fed enough, make sure that you find time to farm as much as possible. I played few rounds with Ashe where I died early game, didn't farm enough and didn't score any kills. I decided then to spend some time farming on my lane and at the same time pushing. As soon as I farmed enough, I bought vital items allowing me to become a threat even when I failed my early to mid game. Ashe is quiet a flexiable champion, but not many people realize it.

    -------------------------------------
    ASHE BUILD
    -------------------------------------

Early game I usually start with a Doran's blade, giving me an upper hand, if I decide to poke early game. If not, you can start with health potions and boots, but I highly disagree. Boots early game aren't useful anymore.

    MY BUILD EARLY GAME
    DORAN'S BLADE
Like I mentioned, I pick it up to deal some extra damage early game. My playstyle is always about poking a bit...being the annoying ass.
    1x HEALTH POTION
If you want, you can change HP with a mana potion, if you are a spammy type, but I would suggest you learn how to reserve your mana by only using abilities when you are sure you are going to nail them right.
    Berserker's Greaves
It's all about the extra attack speed. I always pick these early game, I change them mid to late game, if necessary, but 90% I have these.
    Vampiric Specter
Buying it to build Bloodthirster. Ashe needs all the life steal she can get.

    MY BUILD MID GAME
B.F SWORD (mid to late game build mostly)
Effective item and required to build Infinity Edge. When I build items, I tend to instantly buy the most expensive item to build the final item. What I mean is, IE requires BF sword, Pickaxe and Cloak of Agility. I always aim for the BF sword and I don't need the other stuff. I get back to lane, farm some more and in no time I can get IE.
    Zeal
Same thing like Infinity Edge, for building my attack speed. It's quiet a nice item to have before you get the final build.
    Bloodthirster
One of the items every Ashe MUST have. If anything can save her from her squishyness then it's life steal and Bloodthirster is probably the best. Maybe even Blade of the Ruined King would be a good idea, but honestly I'm not sure. Also I don't use active items much.
Berserker's Greaves (change depending on situation)
Like I said above, I always get these for the extra attack speed and it helps quiet a bit in mid game.

    MY BUILD LATE GAME
    Last Whisper
    OR
Statik Shiv is great on Ashe because together with her passive, it guarantees a critical strike. It is also very good when the enemy team is building armor instead of MR because the chain lighting can do more damage. Also it's a great way to farm.
If you are looking for single target damage, then Phantom Dancer is the way to go. While on lane, it also gives you the ability to run through minions. Personally I always go for the Shiv, but I might start experimenting with Phantom Dancer a little more.
Guardian Angel (change depending on situation)
This heavily depends. If I'm against a team with a high AP, I always go for Angel. However, if the enemy team doesn't have much AP, then I mainly aim for Warmog's Armor or Randuin's. Warmogs gives you extra 1000HP, huge health boost and health regen. However, if you need more armor, aim for Randuin's Omen.
    Infinity Edge (ace card)
Not much to say, it enables to deal easy critical strike which is vital for Ashe as she is a critical strike based champion. Having this on Ashe is your ace card as it will make you deal insane damage. I don't think I've ever seen any Ashe without Infinity Edge.
    Bloodthirster
Already explained. One of the items every Ashe MUST have. If anything can save her from her squishyness then it's life steal and Bloodthirster is probably the best. Maybe even Blade of the Ruined King would be a good idea, but honestly I'm not sure. Also I don't use active items much.
    Bers. Greaves
At late game, I tend to change my boots, specially if I got the gold. A lot of games lately, I've started buying Boots of Mobility. If you think Ashe is slow, try that one and nobody will escape you and it will make you escape much easier as well. For some reason, I love fast and mobile champions and when you put Mobility Boots on Ashe, she is quiet damn fast. However, it's not a standard build, but I like to experiment with strange builds and quiet frankly I enjoy it. If enemy team has a lot of CC, try Mercury Treads, but if not, just leave Berseker's.

    -------------------------------------
    CONCLUSION
    -------------------------------------

Like I said previously, in the right hands, Ashe can be a very viable champion to the team, from mid and all the way to the late game. Her ultimate can change the tides of every battle, can save teammates, save towers and many other things. If played right, she can be a very flexiable champion and can offer a lot to the team. If you manage to get fed by late game, you can easily carry games and win teamfights with no difficulty. Once fed by late game, you can have your Q on all the time, slow enemies, spam your W and fire your ulty when you feel like it's required. She is not the best ADC, but she has a lot more to offer to the team than many people otherwise think.

I hope this guide helps you play Ashe a little better, I used this tactics and this style of gameplay for quiet a while and it helped me greatly and I hope it helps you. Don't forget to check out some great guides on MOBAfire and few more sites, if you want to perfect your Ashe skills.

PS: Before I forget, if you are a skin junkie, a new Ashe skin has been released not too long ago. Her icons have been updated as well, she got a "buff" on her E and the skin...well, if you wanna spread the love lol

Ah, flash games... I used to play a ton of those on Newgrounds, and later on Kongregate. A game I'd REALLY recommend is Amophous +. A little simple game, it's about a dude with a huge ass sword killing blobs. Easy enough, except that the game gets insane with the hefty amount of enemies ( good variety too - every enemy has a bio which is quite cool and detailed for a flash game ). It's a game that is all skill and no power ups ( well, with a couple of exceptions ) The Queen is really tough, too, took me quite a few attempts to destroy her.

    http://www.kongregate.com/games/innocuousGames/amorphous?acomplete=amorphous

Fancy Pants Adventures is also a great little game series that I highly recommend. I got a bit hooked on it since the first game - the platforming is incredibly good, and the setting is quite cool in my opinion. Quirky little series, really. I'm linking world 3, but all of the worlds are great ( if a bit short )

    http://www.kongregate.com/games/DrNeroCF/fancy-pants-adventure-world-3?acomplete=fancy+pants+adventures

Another one I have is Dino run, a game where you run from extinction, so to speak. The game would be pretty boring after a while if it wasn't for the huge amount of unlockables - some quite hard to get. The fact that the world you were running in was alive also made it great for extended play. I remember I had quite a few runs on that game. I think it also had multiplayer.

    http://www.kongregate.com/games/pixeljamgames/dino-run?tab=achievements

The last one I'm going to leave for you lads here is Warlords: Heroes. A fantasy beat-em-up, it has a pretty good amount of combos on each character ( you play as 3 different characters with different combos ). The kongregate achievement wanted me to clear the boss run, and there it showed that the game is incredibly hard, but fair. I never felt that the game cheated me at any point. It is pretty neat.

    http://www.kongregate.com/games/DJStatika/warlords-heroes?tab=achievements

I've played a ton of flash games and I have others that I would recommend, but the post would get too long. Maybe I'll post others at some point, if people like what I've linked so far. There are so many flash games worth a playthrough, and those took quite a few hours of my time. They were great.
  10. Ozukar liked a post in a topic by lordvetynari in Your opinion on the MOBA genre as it is now?
It's a...competitive genre, and it is surprisingly difficult to balance for it. Every self respecting MOBA needs at least some balance in it, and since nobody not already into the genre knows how to balance new spell kits, they go with the easy route and just copy DotA or LoL. Same with the map layout - nobody really wants to think of a new map because:

1: MOBA players might not like it = less money

    2: It's safer

3: Nobody has any great ideas for a balanced yet different map

As such, all we keep getting is more carbon copies of essentially the same couple of games with an innovation here and there ( that is often very minor ) and a different setting. Maybe someday someone will come up with many decent ideas as to how to make a great MOBA without copying existing games, but that will take a HUGE amount of resources, creative minds and testing. It will take a while. However, innovation WILL happen, and then we'll have another great MOBA.

However... since this is a competitive genre more than anything, and since everyone is arguing "LoL is better than DotA hurr", "DotA requires more skill than LoL durr", "Smite is better than both burr" I'd rather we don't get any more popular MOBAs any time soon. It's bad enough as it is, and I believe we do NOT need another MOBA for people to argue about being better. Every time I read such a "debate" a little part of my soul dies. Regardless of which game is claimed to be better.
  11. MrMadakey liked a post in a topic by lordvetynari in The new video of Angry Joe. All topics i agree... except one...
Early access has struck me as more of a PR stunt rather than an actual beta test - "Look, our game is almost ready! Go nuts!". It has also struck me as a lazy excuse for leaving in a ton of serious bugs that should have been fixed by alpha stages.

I look at early access games as if they are a finished product. This is because, from experience, many games tend to stay in beta FOREVER, even going as far as implementing content even if some of the major bugs aren't fixed. This hasn't been happening only recently, either - anyone who has played a lot of free MMORPGs will tell you that some betas last more than an year, with working microtransactions, and that such betas have been happening in many games.

Consider "early access" as "Oops, we fucked up and still have bugs" and not as "We want YOU to beta test!". Very few games are ACTUAL betas - most are just safety nets for lack of content or tons of bugs, either of which usually get fixed by the devs themselves, not us. If they weren't called betas, they would face the backlash of bad releases such as Rome 2, which would be an even worse thing to happen to the companies themselves. As such, they just slap on "BETA", release everything they have so far, and call it a day. Safer, less ( if any ) backlash.

Paying full price for such a game though... paying full price for a Beta is just risky as hell, and unjustified, considering some "Beta" lifetimes... I'd say people buying such games are just a bit crazy. But hey, sometimes it's just worth it! Still, a finished product is always better...

It's not really a question of how graphics will evolve as how video game art will evolve.

It doesn't matter how powerful a console is and how many polygons a model has, it's what you do with all of it that matters.

I'm not all that surprised with the ADC raging. I play ADC myself most of the time, but when I'm playing any other role, the then ADC of my team starts raging at the first sign of trouble. I don't know why that is, but it's always the support/junglers fault, or whatever. And while I can... sort of understand support blame ( synergy is important as hell ) I seriously don't get what the fuss is about anyone else. ADCs should really rely on their own kiting/ self peeling skill in order to survive most engagements, they need to know their limits perfectly and utilise their range. Instead, what most people do is just go into a fight ( I'm plat and this still happens way too often ), promptly die because squishy ADC, and then blame someone else, usually the CC packing jungler/top.

I try not to blame people for my own stupid mistakes ( and I tend to do them often, thus I'm still plat ), but hey, most ADCs are just elitist because they think they're the center of the team. Well, nope.avi. Anyway, since I play ADC, my most ragey teammates are probably the mid laners. Those tend to get elitist as well. Every second game with random strangers you get that mid that's like 'jungler's babysitting me waaaah noob jungler you do nothing I will carry if you help me etc etc'. And he gets no wards, too. Honestly though, this happens on all lanes sometimes. It's unavoidable, unfortunately.

An average shooter that keeps getting rehashed, CoD is just a complete meh all over the place. It's impressive the first game around, but the more they keep releasing the same thing, the less hype it's going to get in most of the gaming community. It's just an infamous game with average quality though, and we've unwillingly created a Streisand effect. Nobody really cares how infamous or praised their product is, it sells, right?

So yeah, average games with a lot of bad talk that actually makes the game more sold. A franchise in a pretty good position by IW's standarts, I'd guess. I'm pretty much indifferent, as well. 5/10, no seals.
  15. lordvetynari liked a post in a topic by Dondaddyd in Why should 'Youtubers' get a proper job.
You know I keep reading a reoccuring comment that sickens me in relation to the Youtube Copyright debacle;  That Angry Joe and other Youtubers should get 'proper jobs' or a secondary source of income.

    Why should they?

In relation to the arguement of Youtube's unfair, biased and legally questionable action of enforcing censorship, telling someone to 'go and get a proper job' or a secondary source of income should never be a plausible retort.  It is dismissive and ignores the larger issue, which is of ownership. Specifically digital ownership.  This is something that all gamers were recently concerned with when Microsoft, through its Xbox One, tried to take the right of ownership away from gamers and place it firmly in their hands and that of developers.  They, in part, wanted to take control of the second hand market by restricting our ability to sell second hand games.

I see this as no different.  The issue is; who owns the footage of individual gameplay?  If I purchase a game, record my gamplay and upload segments of that then, who owns that footage?  It couldn't exist without me playing the game and I own the game having paid for it.  I'm not claiming to have made the game or the in-game content, but footage of me playing a game that I bought, I don't understand why a publisher would claim to own it?  If I do in fact own it, then why wouldn't I have the right to monetize it.  Because the game wouldn't exist without the developers and publishers - but they sold me the right to own a copy of the game.  I have every right to its resale value.

If I bought a fleet of used cars, made a review of each car and posted it on Youtube with the purpose of monetizing the reviews and selling those cars, would the car companies then claim that footage?   Do I not have the right to sell the car and any and all aspects of the car i.e. the review.  Change car to take away food (not inside the restaurant) is it not the same thing?

The issue of a proper jobs and secondary sources of income

Firstly, how do any of us know that Joe doesn't have a second or multiple sources of income?

The reason why he is upset about his Youtube channel is that it means something to him, beyond simply being a job.  He built it himself.  It's not about money.  There are guys out there who settle for a 9 - 5 job and do quite well working for someone else.  Then there are enterprizing people who create businesses themselves.  Fuck, if Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Ebay and ironically Youtube's creators listened to the naysayers telling them to get a 'proper job' where would technology and the Internet be today?

Youtube is the platform that allowed Joe to do something he is passionate about and through monetization he is able to improve his product.  None of us complained when he and others used their channels to challenge Microsoft about their ridiculous Xbox One policies, and without independant channels like his, its likely that there would be this unfair shift towards gamers not owning the games they bought due to DRM policies.  How would that have felt, there is an irony there surely?

So don't tell a enterprizing guy who had the testicular fortitude to create something himself, and make it profitable, to get a proper job.  It takes talent, creativity, a large and diverse skillset, guts and luck to start up your own business (be it in the real world or online) and make it profitable.   And I will certainly say that the owners of companies who have employed me, work a damn sight harder than their employers - who have 'proper jobs'.

Bottomline, whether the Youtube situation resolves itself for better or worse, getting a proper job is the last thing I'll be telling Joe to do.  In my mind he has one, one in which he works far harder than I do.  As I type this out at work, while many of you read it also at work.

Yes, YouTube channels go to shit, that is true, but Joe works a TON on those reviews and it shows. He wouldn't have nearly as much time for reviews if he worked something on the side as well - although it does add security for him. He quit his job so he can try his best to provide quality videos and not rush out stupid content.

This is why I think that the only reason Joe might stop doing his show would be YouTube screwing with him royally. YouTube, in all honesty, is screwing over almost everyone with those changes, and he wouldn't be alone in the fight against that stupid robot for copyright claim bullshit. He can also take his videos elsewhere. He has a big enough backing to really just drop an announcement on YouTube about switching the video site he uploads on and still do fine on another site of similar nature. However, it's still a dick move by YouTube.

He doesn't need another job on the side or his content will drop in quality for he won't have nearly enough time for reviewing. All that needs to happen is for YouTube to stop killing itself because of its stupid policies, because while some of the ad revenue from Joe's videos goes to Joe himself, some of it goes to YouTube itself. Why in all that is holy would a company, that relies on monetised videos in the first place, ban those videos? It makes absolutely ZERO sense. This has also become many people's livelyhoods and they're ruining not only Joe with this, but many other YouTube celebrities as well - and, ironically, the ones that are the most subscribed to too. I mean, PewdiePie plays games. Games are copyrighted. Boom - half his videos down. YouTube is shooting down its biggest source of income. But oh well, at least they made billions before that, right?

Also, many people would gladly help Joe out. He's a great person that keeps putting out great content and him not being able to upload videos would be incredibly sad. His opinions are well argumented, he doesn't kiss corporations' asses and he is honest. There's a reason so many people registered here, after all.

I suggest watching this guy videos to help you since the advice he gives out is not only helpful at top lane but in general http://www.youtube.com/user/SoloRenektonOnly?feature=g-subs-u

Basically whenever you go back to the fountain you should always spend as much gold as needed toward the completion of an item (though there are cases where you make exception and build toward another item for counter purpose.).
It is best to recall when you have enough gold to buy your item in bulk (Ex: 1600ish to buy a BF sword or a needless large rod) although if that isnt the case at the very least with 1000 gold min before you head back, and when your minions are pushing toward your opponent tower (if they are pushing toward your own tower then that mean you will lose gold and exp more than your opponent would if you both return to base).
Buying 2-3 health pot and 1 mana pot is decent to have on you until you reach level 10 (buy 5 health if you need it to stick around longer in lane like if you're melee vs a ranged champ top) and always buy at least 1 ward to place it in the river area to see if the other lane will come ambush you or not.

Ranged supportish champion that are good to play would be Nami, Lulu, Sona and Annie, first 3 being all around good with utility while Annie does well in zoning and crushing your opponent when you see the opportunity.

Now that's just stupid. This new system worded like this means that we can't use copyrighted music, movies, games, etc. and as we all know, almost everything is copyrighted. Only original content will be allowed to stay that way, and while it is a plenty, many parodies and youtube movies have music that is in one way or another copyrighted.

They're shooting themselves in the foot. A LOT of major youtubers use copyrighted materials for either  reviews ( most of them ), parodies ( again, most of them do so at some point ) or whatever. So, they will practically lose a large part of celebrities that make them popular in the first place. And as everybody here said, reviewers advertise games - arguably even more than a gaming review site like IGN does nowadays - and will now remove those people's videos? Nobody is even paying those people for working their ass off on those videos ( well, except for ads which publishers and devs pay nothing for, but everybody pointed that out already ). Is there really a reason to remove videos with such content other than being douches? They won't even get more profit from removing such videos! The hell?

I hope this bull doesn't go through, cause if it does, most of youtube will be screwed over. It's a change with 0 benefits for youtube, google or the publishers, and it's even worse for us, the consumers, who are just looking for a game review that is trustworthy. Yeah, sure, there are some full movies/series on youtube as well, I can't argue with that, but if they REALLY wanted to deal with them, they would've removed them individually. This is more like a SOPA/PIPA, except instead of monitoring everything, it's blocking ALMOST everything.

The videos that will remain are mostly homemade though if that is to pass. Most of today's youtube will probably emigrate to another site if something like this happened. I mean, what the hell youtube? Why?
