I agree Jackie, I'm not sure about greatly profit, but there will definitely be a bleed over to us as well, the more e-sports grows. The slightly sad part is, depending on your point of view, is that e-sports is not big enough where we can say that SC2 would be better without LoL. We still need LoL in e-sports, and DotA 2 and CS:GO (Which has been doing quite well lately, good job on them!) SC2 will continue to grow, and we'll have fluctuations in viewers, it happens. As TotalBiscuit said. If at our WORST possible time we average 100k viewers on an IEM, with a PvP finals that ends in 40-50 minutes. Then we're doing pretty damn good. I'm sure that if we had a Polt vs sOs finals, we'd have had wayyyy more. But alas, everything is going very good for StarCraft 2.

I've listened to it a few days ago and listened again when you posted it He is quite right, sc2 can be supported by smaller com[anies that can't sponsor lol or dota2 plus sc2 has so mich content out there that it's impossible to watch it all, the scene is doing fine and voacl minority that keep saying otherwise are either mistaken or don't know any better

TB talked about his views on the pro-scene of SC2 and what he thinks about the current community and the state of the game.
Well i know that the recording is rather old (5~ days old), but I hope it will reach some people who have yet to hear it.

Damn the link doesnt work I will try googling it.

As for SC2 dying out I dont really see it or understand the basis for it. Does DOTA2 and LoL really pose any "threat"? I mean SC2 is so different from them you cant really compare them since all they have in common is esport status. CoD has esport tournaments, I cant see it killing off others just because its the most popular game in the world.
I might be mistaken but I just dont understand where all this gossip is coming from. That and Blizzard "ruining" the game whining after every patch.
    Toss OP!

Once you listen to the audio file about TB speaking on this whole thing you'll understand. In truth lol and Dota 2 have bigger view numbers per tournament thus people make quick assumptions thinking that the sc2 scene is dead but there are so many factors that they don't count in into "dead game" statement that it is pointless to listen to them. Listen to TB talk about it and you'll get it He knows his stuff and he can explain it very well (which he does do )
Edit: The link works fine for me, I'll post it as well, maybe it'll work for you https://soundcloud.com/totalbiscuit/official-starcraft-2-dick

I think it's great if E-Sports prosper, no matter if it's DotA or LoL or Starcraft. In fact I even think that Star Craft may greatly profit of the high popularity of DotA.

There are quite a few issues right now within StarCraft, I think a lot of people are aware that there are some internal balance discussions between the balance team and pro players. However, there's an issue where even the Kespa players start complaining about the direction of the game, for anyone unaware, the no talk rule has been lifted in proleague, and a lot of Terrans and Zergs, even Protoss have been complaining, both during the games, and outside of them. I don't think the game is unbalance beyond belief. The balance now, is better than it was in WoL, but there are still some very serious problems, that can't be changed. Like the mechanic of forcefield, and storm. Not to mention the fact that swarmhosts are strong as well. Like Stork said, protoss is forced to play certain ways, that are either hyper aggressive, or just very passive and turtle heavy. And there is little room for anything else. I'm sure the metagame will be figured out, if this really is such an issue. But then you reach the WoL broodlord/infestor issue, where, some day someone might have figured out how to win against it, but until then. It would have ruined the game. There are a lot of factors at play. Protoss has an edge, without the shadow of a doubt. Because their play has been figured out. The way the protoss mechanics work, and how their units are set up, they have more activatable abilities during battle, they have different aggression possibilities, and not always have to be forced into an all-in situation, and that is one of the main problems right now within game, judging by what I've seen and what I've talked to with some high level players.

Carbot makes the best SC2 animations. So glad to see blizzard supporting them, and also giving them a tribute, via the portraits and icons.

Hehe. Keep up that laddering, TB might promote soon, you know.
Also, I refuse to play a proper game until they fix the MMR system. So Random - Cheese every game it is. I live by the gouda, I die by the gouda.

The MMR issue will be fixed this upcoming patch, I think. Here's to hoping.

StarCraft 2 is one of the more intense, of not THE most intense game out there, mentally. There are even studies studies showing that playing sc2, improves cognitive flexibility, and helps complete real life tasks faster, and much more accurate. It's easy to find, by googling it.
I know a lot of people who suffer from ladder anxiety, and for the first year I had it too. Regardless of how much training I got, but after a while, it just started fading off. The thing is, when you're playing competitively in an RTS like sc2, versus say a game like DotA 2, the failure to win, can't be blamed on someone else. So it all comes down to you. There may be a very, VERY minor luck based aspect to the game. In certain match-ups, and depending on the playstyle of each player, however at the end of the day, you lost because you didn't do everything perfectly, or as fully efficient as you could, maybe decision making was a bit shoddy.
But that's also one of the great things about StarCraft. It IS that competitive game, that has a very high skill cap, and it's based on how much you put into it, and how much you try to improve.
Most important aspect of it, is just trying to enjoy the game I feel, though. Even pro players relax with arcade, or with their friends, over skype and whatnot. Just keep the game fun for you. Balance the competitive nature of it, with arcade for example. Or by doing casual 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4.

So excited about ShoutCraft. It's good to promote the American and general foreign scene as well. Hopefully some region locking are implemented soon just for those reasons, and perhaps force some koreans to switch over here, instead of being able to travel around. Seeing as foreigners have to devote their entire career for participating in GSL, to Korea. By traveling and living there for quite some time.

Ahh, finally back home and ready for some more sc2. And yeah, the MMR decay has been horrendous. I was wondering why it dropped me to Diamond, even though I was semi-active. It's been pretty crazy all over the ladder atm. lol

Starcraft has a very strong E-sports scene which is a great thing for The Angry Army. Also arguably sc2 is the most difficult game in the world (in my opnion it is) which means it's one of the best games for the progamers of the ajsa to show their skill and prove to everybody that this is a serious community with a lot of talent. I mean I take it seriously but if you look at it from a standpoint from a person who has never heard about Angry Joe (even some of his fans don't take this seriously, you can check some of the youtube comments on the announcement video) when he/she hears the name AJSA they might not take it seriously and assume that It's just a fanboy page. Pewdiepie calls his fans the Bro army, KSI calls his the KSI army-the army thing associated with youtuber's can often times be assumed to be a name that they give to their fans as a joke or sth similar. AJSA members playing at and winning big tournaments at a game like Starcraft would be (in my opinion) the ultimate show to the entire gaming community thet hey we are a serious gaming community, we have our pro's, we have talent and the AJSA is no joke. We are like-minded gamers that support each other and work hard for their dreams I think supporting Starcraft would be a good move but everything I have written here is just an opinion of a single person so hey, feel free to disagree with anything that I have written here (just as a heads up I feel like the last sentence can feel like I'm talking sarcasticlly and i'm sure sb might think that so just to make sure that there are no missunderstandings I am serious, no sarcasm intended)

Good luck to you all ^^

I feel like AngryJoe is bringing together some of the most competitive people on the planet, so why not support one of the most competitive games on the planet?

Also some new information that might be relevant to the success of an Angry Joe Starcraft 2 clan with the upcoming patch 2.1 a few things are being changed:
Custom games and the arcade will be free for anyone to download and play meaning that anyone can try sc2 for free an not be restricted to one race. New calendar feature which will allow clans to set upcoming events such as clan wars or training sessions and, Custom clan decals which will be displayed during the game.  http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/11523759/
