Hey Nox, welcome to the army! I'm sure you will love it here. Gotta admit, you have a great taste in video game genres. Have fun, live large, and grind, my friend.

Not that this is a bad thing, but lately I've been engaged in some rather curious gaming behaviour that I'd like to discuss.
Namely, I have a whole Steam list full of games I purchased and haven't even played, but I keep going back to just two:
    Skyrim and Fallout 4.
I really can't seem to put my finger on why. I've played both of these games up to and past the actual "end game" several times, but I just keep rerolling characters and starting all over again. I also keep finding new mods I want to try out. Skryim is currently sitting at 138 active mods and Fallout 4 is running 167.
Every time I open my Steam list and try to find a new game to instal I just say "Nah, I'll play Skyrim/Fallout". Crazy!
Unless of course my little sister in Washington calls and wants to play The Forest.

Hi, I am CarpeNox, my friends online call me nox. I am shy, and I have a hard time writing about myself so I’ll keep this short.
I found this community through the angry joe channel and decided to join in on the fun.
I am looking forward to the opportunity of meeting new people from this community.
I like to play all kinds of console and PC games such as shooters, rpg's, mmo's, platformers.

    Thank you for reading. :3

Warhammer Dawn of War 1 and 2, Company of Heroes 1 and 2, Homeworld Remastered, Homeworld Deserts of Kharak, World In Conflict (though the GOG version might run better than the Steam one. Battlefleet Gothic and Total War in multiplayer can focus on just the combat and in (or almost entirely in) real time.

    Hi guys!
Joe yelled at me and told me I should post more to mingle with all of you, so here I am! First of all I'd like to welcome all of you to the Angry Army! I look forward to meeting a large number of you individually and participating in a lot of community events with you all in the future.
My name is Delrith, and I am here to help Joe run things (Primarily FPS related stuff and competitive teams in the future) and make us look good in the process while playing with viewers either with him or on my stream representing AJSA in the future. I also, of course, participate in the day to day operations of assisting people with anything that needs to be done and maintaining some semblance of order around these parts.
Do not worry, either! I have quite a bit of experience with maintaining and managing a community as well as participating in QUITE A FEW professional gaming tournaments, with a few victories under my belt as well to back it. I believe that with the dedication you all have shown within the first few days of launch and the willingness to participate we can mold a lot of you into a hardcore bunch of badasses who don't take any sass.
I look forward to playing/training/participating with all of you in the near future, and I apologize if I cannot speak to everyone who has attempted to talk to me thus far!
POST EDIT: This will be my twitch for the Angry Joe Show Army - www.twitch.tv/ajsa_delrith - I will be streaming a LOT in the near future so I ask you all to hop over and follow beforehand! Thanks!

  7. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in Sea of Thieves, What happened?
I haven't played myself (Ubisoft's up and coming Skull and Bones looks more my cup of tea) but based on the content from early streamers and reviews I've seen including Joe @El_Americano is defiantly not the only one who is disappointed with this.
The promise of adding future content,  by which they really mean completing the game for free is not an excuse.  It's clear they released it now to get some money out of it before the start of the fiscal year.  Always be wary of late March releases..... looking at you Farcry 5.
  8. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by El_Americano in Sea of Thieves, What happened?
Of course it’s my opinion, I mean no offense to the gamers that are enjoying the game, in fact I am happy they are because I want Rare to exceed expectations.
For me though, disappointment, and it honestly hurts because I primarily game on my Xbox.
PS, because other games lack content, doesn’t  mean we should be comfortable with all games lacking, or using that as the bar, developers, specially first party developers should push beyond what most games offer now days.  And Rare didn’t push far enough.
Black Flag is a better pirate game.

    Hi everyone,
I started watching Angry Reviews on youtube and love AJ and other Joe.  Now my go-to reviewer 100%, I absolutely love watching the crew do their thing and its great to find a reviewer who tastes are aligned with my own.  I appreciate the no-bs reviews and I share the same geek-love for many of his fave franchises.  Easily my favorite online group for reals!  Not sure where to go from here but I thought I'd at least come on and introduce myself, maybe find some gamer-buddies in the process
I play mostly PC games, but also jump on PSN from time to time, Xbox too.  I'm all over the place lol.  Glad to meet the AJ Community!!

I just don't get Kon..... those prick's mindset right now. Is this their way of trying to destroy their own company from within? They are the absolute worst game company right now, next to EA, and unlike EA who at least tried to appeal to the public, a bit, they just continue to make retarded decisions after decisions with their games that makes them even more hated. It's like they're begging to be lynched in public!
Either way, the review is gonna be sweet. I can't wait!

Baldurs Gate: Enhanced Edition - a game made back during the infant days of computer gaming, based off the 2nd Edition of the D&D rule set, will take you through a magical journey of betrayal, dragons, demons and tension. So grab your dice, grab those pens and ROLL INITIATIVE!
The event will take place on the AJSA Discord, on Saturday, the 24th, at 2pm EST/ 7pm GMT.

Have you tried the Oblivion Character Overhaul. It fixes it up well enough for me. However, I do not expect Skyblivion to have potato faces because, as I said, the ENTIRE game is being redesigned by hand. This includes all textures and meshes for the game.
  13. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by PlasticFrogCG in Skyblivion
Been playing a lot of Skyrim lately. The only thing keeping me from going back to Oblivion is the potato face characters...even with mods. (although it's been a while since I hunted Oblivion mods, maybe somebody fixed that?)

Any who, while watching Joe's latest Dragon Ball FighterZ Angry Review, He mentioned his board game that featured DBZ figures.. And the brief screen shot he showed reminded me of a few 3D Models I've seen on Sketch Fab.

That being said, This is my call out to the Bossman Angry Joe!

  22. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by TheStoopid1 in Is Bethesda Making a Fallout MMO?
Fallout has  been great the way it has been. Making it a mmo is a recipe for disaster. The push for everything to be online play is ruining franchises "Gran Turismo Sport." Also look at final fantasy online and the elder scrolls, they ended up feeling like wow with a skin. They lost their own character. It's been an underwhelming year for gaming. Star wars battlefront 2, destiny 2, gran turismo sport, cod, all disappointments. The only games that I played that didn't disappoint were doom, fallout, witcher 3, diablo 3. Final fantasy 15 was on the fence.
  23. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Some of Best Looking Games Scheduled to be Released in 2018
Just 5?? There's a fuckton of games to get excited for this year! And here they are:
    1) Dragonball FighterZ. We've seen the game & maybe played the beta, and it's one of the very best Dragonball game ever alongside Dragonball Budokai 3 + Tenkaichis.
    2) Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom. I like the first Ni no Kuni, so I'm looking forward to the second game.
    3) Detroit Become Human. I like Heavy Rain + Beyond Two Souls & think there's potential in expanding these games to bigger levels of variables. I just hope that choices in this game actually matters & they don't fall to the "in the end nothing you did before actually impact anything" approach of the Telltale games, since Beyond Two Souls unfortunately got hit with that.
    4) Red Dead Redemption 2. Because it's Red Dead Redemption 2. EVERYONE is excited for this game.
    5) Last of Us 2. Because it's Last of Us 2. Yet another game that EVERYONE is excited for & can't wait to play.
    6) Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord. The first Mount and Blade is a surprisingly epic open world army simulator game that got even better with the many mods that accompany it. And when Mount and Blade 2 comes out, I bet there's gonna be mod support up the ass that'll make the game even better. Can't wait!

    7) Metro Exodus.
Finally this series gets another sequel! I hope in this game you can finally receive a power of the Dark One and able to do psychic abilities.
    8) Scorn. Ever want to find out what happens when H.R.Geiger makes a game where everything is freaking gross & machineries mixed together with living flesh?
We'll find out how deep the rabbit hole goes when this game comes out. And looks like it'll be in 2 parts.
    9) Code Vein. It's Dark Souls, but anime.
    What's not to like?
    10) Spiderman for PS4.
I'm expecting a Peter Parker + Miles Morales teamup in this game, and that's enough to make me excited!
    11) State of Decay 2.
The first game was an unexpected surprise. You can play as anyone you like & even the main character that you're using at the start can die & be replaced with another survivor you've rescued, which creates great tension when playing. I can't wait to see what this game will bring to the table.
    12) Ace Combat 7.
The return to form for Ace Combat after Assault Horizon which although I like VERY much, doesn't do so well as the numbered series because of the generic setting & story. Since Ace Combat 7 returns to the usual fantasy esque setting of the main game, I'm expecting a good story to come along with it.
    13) A Way Out.
The game that I'm very sure even EA will not fuck up. From the maker of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, comes a 2 player only game where you must guide 2 characters escape a prison, and do other things which will be revealed in the full game. And you can either play the game side by side with someone in local multiplayer, or online multiplayer. Too bad you can't play this game solo....... unless you play the game alone with 2 controllers. We'll see how this goes.
    14) Soul Calibur 6.
We all know what this game is all about:
I just hope that the "story" mode for this game improves upon Tekken 7's story mode. Or just be an action adventure mode because I am sick of games trying to copy Netherealm's movie story modes & fall flat on their face due to the lacking content.
    15) Kingdom Hearts 3. I mean have you seen the Toy Story trailer??
OMGOMGOMG, if the Toy Story world is this much fun, I can't imagine how the final battle of Sora vs Xehanort will be. I'm expecting full blown 1000 enemies in screen at once like Kingdom Hearts 2, but on steroids.
    16) Hokuto Ga Gotoku. It'll be released in March, but only in Japan & Asian countries. Lucky for me, I actually have a Singapore PSN account & able to enjoy this game to its fullest. HEAHAHAHAHAHA!
There's of course more like God of War, Crackdown 3 and Days Gone, but not to the extent of these 16 games that I'm looking forward to. 2018 is gonna be sweet. Let's just hope that these games won't be delayed to next year.

  25. Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in The F*** That Game list of 2017!
Hi everyone!  We all know there was some fantastic games in 2017, so much I'd be willing to call it the best year for quality games that we have had for a long time.  This however does not alter the fact that it had more than it's fair share of bad games, disappointments, controversies and some seriously shady business practices that ruined what cold have been some solid releases.  Rather than doing separate topics for these I've decided to amalgamate these into one, so post your list of games for whatever reason had you saying to yourself or out load.. Fuck This Game!
Allow me to make a start (in no particular order):
FUCK The legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild!

Possibly not going to be a popular choice here but someone has got to say it.  This game is overrated, annoying and tedious with the vast majority of it's many shortcomings passing through the filter of the gaming media and even independent YouTuber's underplayed or even totally ignored.  Don't get me wrong, it has aspects of genuine brilliance in the combat, the intelligent AI, shrine puzzles, it's numerous in game mechanics, the ingenious level design and in amount of freedom it offers.  However at other points it also one of the most frustrating and least fun gaming experiences of my entire life with it's overly fragile weapons, seemingly randomly spotted difficulty spikes, the needless necessity of having to travel back to specific points in order to level up, the stamina gauge, the fact the huge map seems to have been specifically designed to make the simple task of travelling from A to B as tedious and difficult as it can possibly be.  For me at least in looking exclusively at the game itself this is 2017's greatest disappointment.
    FUCK Middle-Earth: Shadow of War!

Riding off the subject games that I am unable to understand why so many like them so much we have the sequel to critically acclaimed but in this ones humble opinion FUCKING GOD AWFUL Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.  Yet I can comfortably say without even touching it that this follow up..... is even worse!  Not only does it not seem that any of issues concerning the story, laughable stealth detection and lack of challenge have been addressed, (I heard some say they are even worse) but Warner Brothers Interactive decided to play the ultimate card in corporate smut and re-package the Nemesis system into a glorified gambling simulator.  Thanks to the introduction of lootboxs you can pay your way into making Tallion and his army even more so the bunch overpowered jackasses than they already were without even playing the fucking game!  Even honest attempts by the developer to pay tribute to a late colleague were left dripping with the disdain of corporate greed.  I know now that this Middle-Earth will never be what I was hoping for.
FUCK Life is Strange: Before the Storm!

Now I already wrote a full review of this so I'll keep this brief.  If you thought that going forward with such a well received new IP without the support of the original developer would be a mistake or that a prequel to a game that had such focus on player choice would be DOA when we already know what is ultimately going to happen.... then you'd be absolutely right.  With less interactive gameplay, downgraded production with story and writing that plays out more like an amateur fan fiction than a legitimate prequel and what you get another huge let down in 2017.
    Full Review here:  http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/forums/topic/39559-life-is-strange-before-the-storm-episodes-1-3-crabby-review/
    FUCK Destiny 2!

Here's the skinny on this one at least from my perspective.  Despite it's issues I enjoyed the original and had every intention of paying this.  However, during the open BETA for both PS4 and PC I was plagued with technical issues that as far I know almost nobody else seemed to suffer.  In hindsight it almost seems to me now that this was a sign of an ill omen and I stayed away.... and thank fuck I did when you consider everything that has happened since.
From players being banned for using totally innocent software like Discord or MSI Afterburner, locking players out of base game content unless they bought the first expansion, Bungie secretly capping XP gains to encourage players to spend more real money in the Eververse, designing a seasonal event to make it impossible to get every limited time item in the Eververse unless you gamble for it among so many other controversies that would even make EA blush!  There's to much for me to even go through here but I'll leave a link to YongYea's YouTube channel if you want to learn more.  It seems that Bungie have lost their drive here and don't really seem to care anymore.
    YongYea, YouTube
FUCK The Life of Black Tiger!
One the worst games if not THE worst game of 2017, not to mention one of the most confusing.  I guess it's not that surprising that asset flipping trash made it as a freebie on mobile.  This piece of shit truly stepped up to the plate by not only managing to get on the PlayStation store, not only charging $10 for a "game" that was originally free, not only getting activity promoted by PlayStation on their official YouTube channel with a trailer that (as you can see) is still there to this day but that very Trailer uses music directly stolen form JackonTC's piano cover of "Next to You" from the Anime Parasyte/Kiseijuu....  HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!
How the hell did Sony allow this to happen!  It truly beggars Belief!
FUCK Star Wars Battlefront 2 EA!

Well..... Well.... Well.....  What more is there really about EA and their magnum PR disasterpiece that hasn't already been said by every gamer, journalist, members of the pubic and even government officials that hasn't been said already.  To quote Hawaii House of Representatives member Chris Lee "It's a trap!".
I could go on and ranting and raging as much as anyone about EA's ludicrous and greedy decision to include a Loot box glorified gambling system a AAA Star aimed at children.   I could go even further in that they made it infinity worse by tying Crafting Parts required for progression as well as Star Cards that give players significant in game advantages to the Loot Box's making it a Pay-To-Win system.  The truth is though.... I actually want to thank them!  The swift and decisive retribution of the gaming community got the attention of the media at large and now legislators all over the world are looking in to regulation for these in game Casino's all because EA took a step to far.
It's more possible now more than ever that we may get a day when every copy of Overwatch, Fifa, Need For Speed Payback, COD WWII, Forza Motorsport 7, Destiny 2 and all the other gambling simulators of the world could be re-classified for sale to adults only and removed from most stores.  If that happens be rest assured that I will be there at the closing time penultimate to that day watching them being removed from shelves with a cold beer in my hand and big fucking smile on my face!  If 2017 was "The Year of the Loot Box" then thanks to EA 2018 might very well be "The Year the Loot Box Dies!"
There's more games I could cover here but I don't want to be a whole hog so I'll stop there.  Thanks for reading!
