Fallout has been great the way it has been. Making it a mmo is a recipe for disaster. The push for everything to be online play is ruining franchises "Gran Turismo Sport." Also look at final fantasy online and the elder scrolls, they ended up feeling like wow with a skin. They lost their own character. It's been an underwhelming year for gaming. Star wars battlefront 2, destiny 2, gran turismo sport, cod, all disappointments. The only games that I played that didn't disappoint were doom, fallout, witcher 3, diablo 3. Final fantasy 15 was on the fence.
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Some of Best Looking Games Scheduled to be Released in 2018
Just 5?? There's a fuckton of games to get excited for this year! And here they are:
1) Dragonball FighterZ. We've seen the game & maybe played the beta, and it's one of the very best Dragonball game ever alongside Dragonball Budokai 3 + Tenkaichis.
2) Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom. I like the first Ni no Kuni, so I'm looking forward to the second game.
3) Detroit Become Human. I like Heavy Rain + Beyond Two Souls & think there's potential in expanding these games to bigger levels of variables. I just hope that choices in this game actually matters & they don't fall to the "in the end nothing you did before actually impact anything" approach of the Telltale games, since Beyond Two Souls unfortunately got hit with that.
4) Red Dead Redemption 2. Because it's Red Dead Redemption 2. EVERYONE is excited for this game.
5) Last of Us 2. Because it's Last of Us 2. Yet another game that EVERYONE is excited for & can't wait to play.
6) Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord. The first Mount and Blade is a surprisingly epic open world army simulator game that got even better with the many mods that accompany it. And when Mount and Blade 2 comes out, I bet there's gonna be mod support up the ass that'll make the game even better. Can't wait!
7) Metro Exodus.
Finally this series gets another sequel! I hope in this game you can finally receive a power of the Dark One and able to do psychic abilities.
8) Scorn. Ever want to find out what happens when H.R.Geiger makes a game where everything is freaking gross & machineries mixed together with living flesh?
We'll find out how deep the rabbit hole goes when this game comes out. And looks like it'll be in 2 parts.
9) Code Vein. It's Dark Souls, but anime.
What's not to like?
10) Spiderman for PS4.
I'm expecting a Peter Parker + Miles Morales teamup in this game, and that's enough to make me excited!
11) State of Decay 2.
The first game was an unexpected surprise. You can play as anyone you like & even the main character that you're using at the start can die & be replaced with another survivor you've rescued, which creates great tension when playing. I can't wait to see what this game will bring to the table.
12) Ace Combat 7.
The return to form for Ace Combat after Assault Horizon which although I like VERY much, doesn't do so well as the numbered series because of the generic setting & story. Since Ace Combat 7 returns to the usual fantasy esque setting of the main game, I'm expecting a good story to come along with it.
13) A Way Out.
The game that I'm very sure even EA will not fuck up. From the maker of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, comes a 2 player only game where you must guide 2 characters escape a prison, and do other things which will be revealed in the full game. And you can either play the game side by side with someone in local multiplayer, or online multiplayer. Too bad you can't play this game solo....... unless you play the game alone with 2 controllers. We'll see how this goes.
14) Soul Calibur 6.
We all know what this game is all about:
I just hope that the "story" mode for this game improves upon Tekken 7's story mode. Or just be an action adventure mode because I am sick of games trying to copy Netherealm's movie story modes & fall flat on their face due to the lacking content.
15) Kingdom Hearts 3. I mean have you seen the Toy Story trailer??
OMGOMGOMG, if the Toy Story world is this much fun, I can't imagine how the final battle of Sora vs Xehanort will be. I'm expecting full blown 1000 enemies in screen at once like Kingdom Hearts 2, but on steroids.
16) Hokuto Ga Gotoku. It'll be released in March, but only in Japan & Asian countries. Lucky for me, I actually have a Singapore PSN account & able to enjoy this game to its fullest. HEAHAHAHAHAHA!
There's of course more like God of War, Crackdown 3 and Days Gone, but not to the extent of these 16 games that I'm looking forward to. 2018 is gonna be sweet. Let's just hope that these games won't be delayed to next year.
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in The F*** That Game list of 2017!
Hi everyone! We all know there was some fantastic games in 2017, so much I'd be willing to call it the best year for quality games that we have had for a long time. This however does not alter the fact that it had more than it's fair share of bad games, disappointments, controversies and some seriously shady business practices that ruined what cold have been some solid releases. Rather than doing separate topics for these I've decided to amalgamate these into one, so post your list of games for whatever reason had you saying to yourself or out load.. Fuck This Game!
Allow me to make a start (in no particular order):
FUCK The legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild!
Possibly not going to be a popular choice here but someone has got to say it. This game is overrated, annoying and tedious with the vast majority of it's many shortcomings passing through the filter of the gaming media and even independent YouTuber's underplayed or even totally ignored. Don't get me wrong, it has aspects of genuine brilliance in the combat, the intelligent AI, shrine puzzles, it's numerous in game mechanics, the ingenious level design and in amount of freedom it offers. However at other points it also one of the most frustrating and least fun gaming experiences of my entire life with it's overly fragile weapons, seemingly randomly spotted difficulty spikes, the needless necessity of having to travel back to specific points in order to level up, the stamina gauge, the fact the huge map seems to have been specifically designed to make the simple task of travelling from A to B as tedious and difficult as it can possibly be. For me at least in looking exclusively at the game itself this is 2017's greatest disappointment.
FUCK Middle-Earth: Shadow of War!
Riding off the subject games that I am unable to understand why so many like them so much we have the sequel to critically acclaimed but in this ones humble opinion FUCKING GOD AWFUL Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Yet I can comfortably say without even touching it that this follow up..... is even worse! Not only does it not seem that any of issues concerning the story, laughable stealth detection and lack of challenge have been addressed, (I heard some say they are even worse) but Warner Brothers Interactive decided to play the ultimate card in corporate smut and re-package the Nemesis system into a glorified gambling simulator. Thanks to the introduction of lootboxs you can pay your way into making Tallion and his army even more so the bunch overpowered jackasses than they already were without even playing the fucking game! Even honest attempts by the developer to pay tribute to a late colleague were left dripping with the disdain of corporate greed. I know now that this Middle-Earth will never be what I was hoping for.
FUCK Life is Strange: Before the Storm!
Now I already wrote a full review of this so I'll keep this brief. If you thought that going forward with such a well received new IP without the support of the original developer would be a mistake or that a prequel to a game that had such focus on player choice would be DOA when we already know what is ultimately going to happen.... then you'd be absolutely right. With less interactive gameplay, downgraded production with story and writing that plays out more like an amateur fan fiction than a legitimate prequel and what you get another huge let down in 2017.
Full Review here: http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/forums/topic/39559-life-is-strange-before-the-storm-episodes-1-3-crabby-review/
FUCK Destiny 2!
Here's the skinny on this one at least from my perspective. Despite it's issues I enjoyed the original and had every intention of paying this. However, during the open BETA for both PS4 and PC I was plagued with technical issues that as far I know almost nobody else seemed to suffer. In hindsight it almost seems to me now that this was a sign of an ill omen and I stayed away.... and thank fuck I did when you consider everything that has happened since.
From players being banned for using totally innocent software like Discord or MSI Afterburner, locking players out of base game content unless they bought the first expansion, Bungie secretly capping XP gains to encourage players to spend more real money in the Eververse, designing a seasonal event to make it impossible to get every limited time item in the Eververse unless you gamble for it among so many other controversies that would even make EA blush! There's to much for me to even go through here but I'll leave a link to YongYea's YouTube channel if you want to learn more. It seems that Bungie have lost their drive here and don't really seem to care anymore.
FUCK The Life of Black Tiger!
One the worst games if not THE worst game of 2017, not to mention one of the most confusing. I guess it's not that surprising that asset flipping trash made it as a freebie on mobile. This piece of shit truly stepped up to the plate by not only managing to get on the PlayStation store, not only charging $10 for a "game" that was originally free, not only getting activity promoted by PlayStation on their official YouTube channel with a trailer that (as you can see) is still there to this day but that very Trailer uses music directly stolen form JackonTC's piano cover of "Next to You" from the Anime Parasyte/Kiseijuu.... HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!
How the hell did Sony allow this to happen! It truly beggars Belief!
FUCK Star Wars Battlefront 2 EA!
Well..... Well.... Well..... What more is there really about EA and their magnum PR disasterpiece that hasn't already been said by every gamer, journalist, members of the pubic and even government officials that hasn't been said already. To quote Hawaii House of Representatives member Chris Lee "It's a trap!".
I could go on and ranting and raging as much as anyone about EA's ludicrous and greedy decision to include a Loot box glorified gambling system a AAA Star aimed at children. I could go even further in that they made it infinity worse by tying Crafting Parts required for progression as well as Star Cards that give players significant in game advantages to the Loot Box's making it a Pay-To-Win system. The truth is though.... I actually want to thank them! The swift and decisive retribution of the gaming community got the attention of the media at large and now legislators all over the world are looking in to regulation for these in game Casino's all because EA took a step to far.
It's more possible now more than ever that we may get a day when every copy of Overwatch, Fifa, Need For Speed Payback, COD WWII, Forza Motorsport 7, Destiny 2 and all the other gambling simulators of the world could be re-classified for sale to adults only and removed from most stores. If that happens be rest assured that I will be there at the closing time penultimate to that day watching them being removed from shelves with a cold beer in my hand and big fucking smile on my face! If 2017 was "The Year of the Loot Box" then thanks to EA 2018 might very well be "The Year the Loot Box Dies!"
There's more games I could cover here but I don't want to be a whole hog so I'll stop there. Thanks for reading!
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Crazycrab in Is Bethesda Making a Fallout MMO?
If they do then they clearly aren't looking very hard! There are allot of post apocalyptic and/or survival MMO's like this out there, perhaps it's not as flooded as Fantasy but it's long way from "niche".
I personally don't see a Fallout MMO coming any time soon and I don't think I would welcome it either, Elder Scrolls and Fallout should stick to what they do best.
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Aquila in Is Bethesda Making a Fallout MMO?
On the one hand, I think ESO has utterly failed at trying to compete at the same level of WoW or GW2. On the other hand, they might think that Fallout is niche enough that it could make money as an MMO without interrupting WoW's market share.
The fact is that there is no "market share" for MMOs. Most players are loyal to the games they play or the companies that make them. Fallout Online will have to make its money on its own merits, not on whatever an Excel spreadsheet says.
That said, the relatively low effort of ESO seems to suggest that FOO will be a hot mess on release. I also kind of wonder how the game will play. Will it be action-heavy like Destiny, or will it try going back to its point-and-click roots? Who knows.

Just want to bring up the fact that only 23% of Americans have more than one option for broadband internet (25 down / 3 up minimum).
Also, 2013 Time Warner made 97% NET PROFIT from their internet services division and announced it to their shareholders.
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Angry Rant: Net Neutrality's future.
I have a couple of questions for the 3 rep from FCC that wants Net Neutrality gone, including that pie guy:
1) Whose dick did you suck that makes you abandon your brain and your job to do the right thing for your country?
2) How can you ignore the voice of the people so blatantly and expect them to just accept an obviously horrible thing like no repercussions can happen? Don't you know the term "screw with the people, and you're gonna have pitchforks up your ass?"
3) Aren't you worried that since you have brought shame to your family name, that they will disown you after everyone eventually makes you the number 1 public enemy of the entire country?
4) Have you prepared your life insurance yet?
The VERY good news is that people are going to bring Net Neutrality back, and those 3 FCC reps + whoever is behind this are going to feel the brunt of their stupid ass decisions. You fuck with the people, you're going down. I have high hopes that the right thing will happen.

"It was Rodriguez's second arrest in a week. On Dec. 1 Alachua County Sheriff's deputies arrested Rodriguez after witnesses say they saw him waving a silver and brown handgun near Kanapaha Middle School. A report says a witness saw him place the gun against his head. When deputies arrived they determined the gun was a CO2 BB gun. Rodriguez told deputies he was just "doing a Youtube prank" and expressed remorse, was respectful and police and cooperated with deputies, the report said."
This guy..... doesn't look like he's right in the head from that hair of his.
Second arrest? This moron did it once already, near a middle school where I'm sure the kids there will get traumatized for life, AND HE DID IT AGAIN??? JUST PUT HIM IN JAIL ALREADY FOR PETE'S SAKES!

This is an open letter to everyone in the AJSA PS4 Division
I am posting this here because I wished to post this in the PS4 chat, but I felt it was too long, so I am putting it fully here. First off, I must give everyone within the PS4 Division a very heartfelt thank you. I found this community when I first got Overwatch for Christmas 2016, I was only level 15, and I kept on being matched up with twelve year olds in-game. Having been on the AJSA website for many years, I posted my request, my subtle plea - I just wanted somebody to play with. Somebody who wouldn't screw me over, who would look past the fact I was only a low level player in my first ever online multiplayer game, and actively help me become a better player. Enter WITHASTICK, the Community Leader who answered my call. At first, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, truth be told, I was scared. I was scared I would face the rejection I always do in real life, when you're an outlander like me who lives in a small town, where everyone knows everyone, having to continue being the lone wolf. But how do wolves live? In packs of course. It seemed I had finally found a pack that accepted me.
Everyday, I wake up, I go to College, and I go home, sometimes work will take the place of college in that sequence but its the same sequence nonetheless. From the amount of moving around I do, its hard to make friends, I don't fit in with people where I live - my lifestyle, my ideals, my mentality is just too different. I used to dread going to college, knowing just how alone I was, but now, its changed. I may not know your real names, I may not know your faces, you may consider it sad, but I consider you all as friends. In the short time span I have been in the community, I already have so many memories to look back upon and smile about - be it being up late at night helping me with a stupidly complicated math problem whilst trying to calm me down, getting everybody ranked in Comp on Overwatch and dreading the result after exchanging placement horror stories, Torbjorn's corpse always getting POTG even after somebody got a triple kill as Symmetra, glitching guards in Dishonored, the amazing armor designs from For Honor, the Horion Zero Dawn hype, the Nioh tips, and everyone becoming digital photographers in an effort to get their picture on the community page.
As I said before, I used to dread College, but now, I have something to look forward to, it makes the days shorter and less painful knowing that there's a group of people I can look forward to hanging out with, even if we don't know each other's names or faces.
From the bottom of my heart,
ASOBlueRose - AJSA PS4 Division

If the same percentage of people who bought a switch and then postep a clip of it working perfectly fine to the same ratio of people made this compilation of faulty units (BTW, that's what warranties are for), what video do you think would be longer? Exactly.
No new piece of tech has a launch without SOME malfunctioning units getting past quality control, it happens. Besides, where's the proof these people in the video aren't like that Moron who melted his PS4 Pro then posted pic's all over the Internet claiming it melted itself?
I'm not defending Nintendo, I'm just using my common sence. Besides, there's I'm actually more concerned about what you've tried to do here Rain, especially considering you're a forum mod. Claiming this video is Joe's, when it isn't, and clearly taking an incredibly bias fanboy perspective on this. White all due respect, what kind of "Black Knight" bullshit are you trying to pull here? We (the AJSA members) are not that stupid man.

Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by PlasticFrogCG in What Will Red Dead Redemption 2 Have To Do To Top The First Red Dead Redemption
Nothing. As long as it has a story as good or better than the first one I would accept the same exact game! Although I like the kooky side-quest idea, those were fun!
I can tell you what would completely ruin it is an over-focus on the multiplayer. The market is saturated with AAA multiplayer games, particularly those that have a lot of micro-transactions. What I really want is a good, solid single-player experience that last at least 18+ hours.
That totally came out wrong.
Rojo_The_Great liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in What horror game still scares the crap out of you even though you have already beaten it once?
Since I just finished Resident Evil 7 and am now playing the living hell out of Yakuza 0, which surprisingly has 1 side story that creeps me the hell out, it makes me nostalgic about all the horror games of the past. Horror games has come a long way since the first Alone in the Dark. And with a lot of varieties too.
We got horror games that are basically jump scare city like Condemned
Horror games that makes you run the fuck away from enemies like Amnesia
And psychological horror games that fucks with your mind like Rule of Rose. A fantastic underrated game btw, check it out.
Now most horror games are pretty scary the first time you played them. But most of the time, after you finish the game, you won't be scared of it anymore after more than one playthrough because you have already seen the whole scares. Hell, Resident Evil 7 scared me when I first played it, but now the game is more like a strategic action game to me where I have to conserve ammo to beat the bosses and enemies, but despite that I still want to play it all over again because it is still an awesome game.
But some horror games are so scary, that even though you have played it once, it will still scare you when you play it again.
So my question to you is this: what horror game scared the bejeezus out of you so much, that even though you have played it once already, you are still scared of it? You can mention more than one game.
I'm still scared of Cry of Fear.
This game........ fuck me this game is something. I already know most of the jump scares in this game, but man, there's just so many well placed scares and horrible looking enemies that personally scares the crap out of me that I can't play this game on 1 sitting. I have to quit the game because I can't fucking take it.
Then there's Alien Isolation. All because of the brilliant alien AI that just shows up unplanned and unscripted, making me go "OH SHIT OH SHIT" whenever I hear the sound of that Xenomorph dropping from a vent out of nowhere.
And finally, Dead Space 2. The Dead Space series as a whole is not scary. It's more like an epic monster hunter type game than a scary survival horror game.
But then we get to the eye surgery
Fuck. This. Section. It still fucking scares me more than most monster in any horror game ever. I do not want to play this part EVER AGAIN.
