Hey all just giving you the heads up that Awesomenauts now has its own sub chat over in Community Games on the AJSA Teamspeak. I will be there a lot, so if you ever wanna play games feel free to add me on steam and maybe we make a Steam Group or just keep it in the Teamspeak. Hopefully I'll see you guys there!

    Awesomenauts
I think AJSA should support Awesomenauts in either category because its an easy to learn hard to master 2D MOBA. It isn't as complex as League or DotA, but still has hours and hours of replay value. I have been playing since the game released on PC in 2012, and an Admin for the
    Awesomenauts Beta group on Steam.

    Pros:
    - 3v3 Team 2D MOBA amazingness
    - Tournaments do happen, supported by kickstarted replay features(Spectator Mode in development)
    - Updates are still very much planned for the future
    - Split Screen Supported
    - 19 total characters as of now, with more in development
    - The kickstarted expansion opens up some more  features, including:
Custom Game Editor for other game modes. (like TDM)
    AI Modding
    Map Editor (In Development)
    Cons:
    - No dedicated Servers, all of it is Peer 2 Peer
    - It's not a Free to Play MOBA, the base game is 10 dollars, the starstorm expansion with more characters and features is 9 dollars
    - It can feel a little Imbalanced at times, as balance updates happen about once a month
    - Available on PS3, X360, PC and PS4 (Only the PC and PS4 versions receive updates)
    Event Ideas
Deathmatch Night, Randomnauts Night, AJSA 'Naut Fest

Also I have free Sandshrews, Snivys, and Totodiles for trade. Could also breed Cyndaquil, Growlithe, and Vulpix if you want one.

Feels like this thread isn't doing too great.  I'll try and see around if anyone can be talked to to get an awesomenauts subforum.

I've got 1300+ hours played on steam, if there's a game I'd like the AJSA to pick up, it's 'nauts.

I think the Angry Army should play Awesomenauts because its a fun introduction into the MOBA genre. It is a 2D MOBA side scrolling platformer with an 80's/ 90's cartoon style. I would like to have a group dedicated for the game so no one would have to solo queue for casual play, and a team to represent the Army in upcoming tournaments.
    3 PROS:
It is a 3v3 game so queueing in a pre-made team would guarantee some level of play from teammates.
It would create a better community of players from within Awesomenauts (hopefully less rage quitters)
With the currently in development Starstorm expansion, the devs are currently working on a Spectator mode to grow the competitive side of the game.
    3 CONS:
The online is not perfect, there sometimes is lag depending on the location of the players, so the worse the internet connection is, the worse the lag is.
    Disconnects can be frequent
There are no dedicated servers, its all Peer to Peer.

ill bring it up with ross or talk about it with others before, AJ is expanding a bit to PS4 and Xbox One now with infamous and destiny so Awesomenauts will have a good shot of becoming an official game, and ill tell them to contact you to manage teams/events etc

Hey everybody, I just want to put out an announcement about Awesomenauts. Its a 2D, 3v3 MOBA with a cool saturday morning cartoon feel. A decent way of explaining it is Smash Bros. meets LoL.  I just wanted to know how many people would enjoy playing it for the AJSA. There is an old post in the "Should we play this game" sub-forum, which hasn't really been touched since it was made back when the whole community launched. I also made a new post over in the MOBA gaming sub forum seeing if there were any people left who would come out and support the game if/when it gets voted on. Thanks all!

Of course mate! I'm always playing, I tried getting to know a little bunch of people that play Awesomenauts within the community and I played with a few. I know for certain we can have a player based larger than 20 within AJSA. People just need ti show more love in the forums.

I just wanted to see how many people are still interested in fully supporting this game for the AJSA. It still has not been updated to a vote from a post back when the whole community launched. It still has not been deleted from that post though, so hopefully we will get a vote eventually. I also wanted to see who would vote for this game, if/when we do get it supported. Thanks everyone.

If you want a MOBA game to just get the pure basics(farming creeps, fighting and using skill shots, pushing towers)(no ridiculous 100+ hero roster, easy to learn maps with little intricacies beyond some mechanics, awesome soundtrack) AWESOMENAUTS! This 2d platforming moba gem is a pretty neat and friendly way to start it off. You arent punished too much for dying and cause you are 3 people per team rather than the traditional 5, one person can carry your team. It also shows the ultimatum of mobas, at the end of the day it isnt about who has the most kills but who kills the other teams throne/drill/ancient/nexus thing first. I easily sunk 300 hours into this before feeling like i wanted to feel more challenge&variety and wanted try out other mobas so went to dota 2.  mostly cause i saw something interesting about it and i liked the idea of having the full roster available to me rather than having to not be able to play a hero one week cause he isnt free rotation.

That said if you want to jump the whole hog and start with dota 2, there is an ingame guild and we do also have a coach/student thread over on the dota 2 section of this forum . a good number of us frequent the teamspeak servers and gather parties there. The tutorial will teach you the basics and then its highly recommended to try atleast a decent amount of practice with bots or co-op bot to learn the array of skills heroes in dota 2 bring to their teams. That and patience, it is really easy early on to feel that certain heroes have alot of power due to certain skills but later on you can definitely see that knowledge as well as playstyle and game sense balances it out. If you want an invite to the guild i highly recommend sending a friend invite to Mrfool or MrDerwisj or me on steam.

As to how much hours around 100-200 ish is when you will have atleast(hopefully) gotten around to playing each hero atleast once in the game and have seen some of the intricacies of the map itself .

I second the notion. After this I would really like a steam group for casual play and for those who want to compete, an Awesomenauts Pro League Team.

I had made a post related to this but it appears to have been removed. Nonetheless, I am suggesting a channel in Teamspeak for Awesomenauts. It appears taht to play awesomenaust with others is rather difficult without the teamspeak as the game doesn't have a self-build in game voice chat.
If this is impossible to do or for whatever reason it simply can't be done then simply tell me... removing my previous post didn't make any thoughts clear.
  20. IrCannonfodder liked a post in a topic by Cpudude30k in About MOBA communities.
Isn't that just also by seeing how other people play the game, so its like learned. Once you see everyone else doing it you pick it up, I don't because I don't like people like that. In general the community around Awesomenauts is pretty good, although people who do get ragey have been popping up a bit more frequently.
