  1. Well, I'll probably go a little over what the 600$ rig has, so my budget is around 650-700. I don't really intend to build something quite that pricy, as whatever I build no matter what price range will probably blow what I'm currently using out of the water in terms of gaming power. (My graphics card isn't supported by Nvidia anymore. It's not even listed on their website ) I have looked around Newegg before, and it's what a friend of mine uses so they are most likely what I'll be buying from.
  2. I did something like this one time, it added a nice new challenge to the game: The Shaman Must have a shield equipped at all times, you can only use maces as your weapon. The only way you're allowed to heal is through magic. Also, you can only use mage robes or clothing, nothing that gives armor.
  3. Hello everyone! I recently made a post asking for advice on buying a gaming laptop, but after putting thought into it, I think I would be better off building a gaming PC. Now, I've never built a PC before, and so far I've only read this article http://lifehacker.com/5840963/the-best-pcs-you-can-build-for-600-and-1200. I'm leaning in the direction of building something a little bit over their 600$ rig (maybe bump up the graphics card) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Good guides, where to buy parts from, what companies to avoid buying from? Thanks!
  4. Okay I recently wanted to start playing Skyrim again, but I had some issues last time I played so I deleted the local content on Steam and reinstalled the game. When I tried to play this morning, for some reason, the game thinks that I'm using an old Logitech wired controller that I haven't used in years. But, when I plugged the controller in to try and access the in game menu and change the control settings, it didn't even detect it. Now I'm stuck, and I can't even do anything. I can get into the game, but the only keys that react are the Enter key and Arrow keys. I can use the to start up the game, but once I'm in game, nothing responds. Oddly enough, I CAN still activate console commands via the ` key, and when I do so, my mouse is detected. But the moment I exit console command, the mouse disappears again. Please help me, Skyrim is one of my all time favorite games and I hate being unable to play it again. This has been fixed, can anyone tell me how to delete this? ^^;
  5. Thank you all for the advice, I'm very grateful that you all took the time to help me out with this
  6. The thing is though, I really want something transportable. My parents are devorcied so I often visit my dad's house on the weekend. Unfortunately, my dad uses Macs, so I can't play quite a few of the games I enjoy while I'm there. Also, I plan to use it for more than just gaming of course, but I want something that can still play games.
  7. Hello, AJSA! This is my first time posting on the forum, but I know that it's the perfect place to go for my question. I'm planning on buying a Laptop sometime around Christmas, and as a gamer, I want to get something that can handle what I play and be able to handle the new games of the next generation. I play a lot of games like World of Warcraft, Skyrim, League of Legends, and I enjoy modding games that allow it. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice for a good, trusted laptop? Please keep the price range under $1200. Thanks for reading, any tips and help are welcome. -Insanitybreach
