  1. Raxyn liked a article by WITHASTICK, PS4 Division Monthly Updates - December
This article is a monthly update on all the on goings for the PS4 Division in the AJSA Community. These monthly updates can cover news and updates for; PS4 Division, Game Nights, Community Nights, PS4 AJSA Chatrooms, PSN AJSA Community Page, etc. The monthly updates will also give PS4 Division members a sneak peek of what games will be coming to this month’s Game Nights and Community Nights.
    PS4 Division General Updates
December 3rd-4th the PS4 Division members will begin receiving their prizes from the AJSA 4th Year Anniversary raffle giveaway. The winners won’t be announced until everyone has received their prizes. Community Nights will be returning in January alongside Game Nights. When we started Community Nights it was more of a counter to Game Nights. Game Nights are always the more promoted larger style event, where Community Nights acted as a way to help build our communities in game. Going into January there will be a few changes to Community Nights. Community Nights will now always be on a Friday or sometimes Sunday. We learned that having Community Nights on days during the week proved to be difficult. We had to settle for later times, which would push our European members away. Going forward Community Nights will aim for to be hosted on Fridays at an earlier time similar to Game Nights. We’re still working on an exact time, but will have more information later. Community Nights will rotate between two games per month. We learned a bi-weekly format was very helpful for the host as it won’t burn them out. We’ll have more information on how this process will work at a later point. We’re happy to have Community Nights as a part of our Division, as a way to serve our members with the games they gather to and love to play.   We want AJSA members to help us test out the PS Communities feature, to help determine if this is our future. We recommend having notifications turned on all PS4 and smart devices that include the Communities app. We recommend members to post both on the wall directly and reply to each other directly. We are not saying stop using the Chatrooms all together, but help myself and my staff fully understand what this Communities feature can do. We tried moving there last year and it didn’t work because we simply didn’t understand how different it would truly be. We are not saying that we’re definitely moving, we’re asking for your help to understand if Communities is ready for us. Thank you. Game Nights Updates
Game Nights are weekly PS4 Division events where members gather every Saturday to play games together. Now members in the PS4 Division will get an idea of what is to come for this month. Whether those games be; Triple-A games, old popular games, indie games, free to play games, and even PS Plus monthly line-up games that support multiplayer features. Please understand right now we’re not giving the dates of when each game may appear in the month. Game Nights are always ever changing, and the games could get shifted around. Also understand that these games you see below have a chance of changing due to a number of reasons like; Network issues, broken patches, broken games, lost of support and interest, etc. However no matter what game it is we’re sure you’ll find something to enjoy. So come join the mayhem, make new friends, laugh all night, destroy the world or destroy each other!
Below are the updates coming to Game Nights:
There will be an additional Game Nights on December 2nd for Rocket League, which is part of the AJSA Special Operations were all platforms (PC, PS4, XB1) will be playing together. This will be the final event in celebrating the AJSA’s 4th year anniversary. This Game Nights will count attendance and the contract towards the 4th Year Anniversary giveaway. After the December 2nd Game Nights Rocket League event Game Nights will start its Holiday Break and will return in January. Game Nights and Community Nights will no longer feature Star Wars Battlefront 2, Need for Speed Payback, or future EA titles with similar “services” as these selected titles. This ban will not affect past EA titles that do not have these same services. I understand this may upset some of our members but give us a moment to explain our reasoning. EA’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Need for Speed Payback have shown us what EA means when they say games to be a service. All for the full price of a Triple-A they want to force peoples to grind long hours to get very little in return, all the while nagging the players to spend money to make things “easier”. We PRIDE ourselves on featuring our members the games that can carry out a fun experience and give a sense of ACCOMPLISHMENTS after a long night. As newer EA titles come out in the future we’ll place a larger delay before featuring those titles in order to fully understand, and see how much of a “service” it is when it should be a game. Once this ban is placed on any of these future and current titles it will be reversed once these horrible pay to win, grind wall, and disgusting microtransaction business practices are changed or permanently removed. We’ll continue to feature and promote games we feel will give our members a fun experience for any PS4 Division event. This ban does not reflect or affect the PC Division, the XB1 Division, or the AJSA as a whole. This is a decision that the PS4 Division Commander and Staff came to for the PS4 Division alone. We respect whatever the other Divisions decide to do, and hope they rock the house with their events. We also respect the individual member of the PS4 Division and the AJSA as a whole if they purchase these titles. Game Nights Line-up
*Do not sign up for any of these Game Nights. Wait until the proper Game Nights announcement featuring the game you’re interested in.*

Rocket League: Superiority- PS4 and XB1 players will battle the PC to gather as many wins as possible. The console with the most wins under their belt will complete the contract and all members attending will be rewarded! Completing this contract will earn you an extra spot in the 4th Year Anniversary Giveaway.
  2. Raxyn liked a article by Conan, EF: Tabletop Simulator event (Secret Hitler)
This weeks EF event will be Secret Hitler, played using Tabletop Simulator, on Saturday, the 7th at 9pm BST/ 4pm EDT. Like always, we'll be using the AJSA Discord Server to communicate for the duration of the event.
Now if you don't know Tabletop Simulator, it is a multiplayer physics sandbox game, intended to enable players to host any tabletop games they can think of (with the help of the Steam Workshop). We'll be using it to simulate a few rounds of the game Secret Hitler, a hidden identity party game wherein players strive for the control of a country through the implementation of either facist or liberal policies. The game is over after either enough liberal or facist policies have been enacted, or if the person, who was randomly assigned the role of Hitler, gets elected chancellor after 3 facist policies have been enacted. The game requires deceit and deduction and is quite enjoyable in that sense.

After hosting 23 different games within the EF, we've finally decided to take a breather and look at the various concepts which the EF was founded on. This is so we see which concepts are actually working and how we can improve them.
As such we've decided to take the month of July 2017 off to focus our efforts on restructuring how the EF works. Our aim is to come back swinging in August with this restructured EF. The exact nature of how the EF will work in the future is still being discussed. Rest assured that we'll fully inform you of the new concepts around the end of July/ beginning of August.
Hosting 23 games in the course of two years is nothing to sneeze at, and we're hoping to ultimately bring a similar kind of diversity to the EF in the future. Below is a list of all the games we've hosted here, in chronological order:

    Mass Effect 4 Multiplayer
With Mass Effect Andromeda now being out, we'd figure we might as well give the multiplayer a try. In case you don't know, the ME4 multiplayer consists of co-op matches against the AI. Each session allows for a group of up to 4 players, so we will split the attendees into multiple groups, depending on turnout.
We will host the first ME4 event this Saturday, the 3rd of June at 6pm EST/ 11 pm GMT on the AJSA Discord Server.

    Dedicated Players

We encourage commitment and attendance within the EF, thus we offer attendance pips for those players who register themselves as dedicated players (You can still attend all events without making this commitment). As such dedicated players promise to attend at least 50% of the events, for which they will receive said attendance pip at the end of the month.

    Dungeons and Dragons
Well we finally decided to do some DnD campaigns here in the EF. Now if you don't know what DnD is, then just know that it is a tabletop RPG and is commonly recognized to be the game that launched the modern RPG games industry.
Given that campaigns in DnD can drag on for weeks, regular attendance is always an issues, hampering a consitent story line. As such we will host 4 one-off campaigns, using the DnD 5.0 system of rules. The characters will be pregenerated to allow for fun 2-4 hour sessions.
We will host the second DnD event this Saturday, the 13th of May at 3pm EDT/ 8 pm BST, however people wishing to play are asked to attend 30 min early for the briefing about the session.

    NEW SERVERS!
First and foremost is a change in server hosts for a majority of our games to Vilayer! They have a product called a clan package that works out fantastically for us. It allows us to have a "pool" of game slots that we can dynamically assign to new game servers and have them up in running in as little as 15 minutes in some cases. So be on the lookout for new game events on community games as well as new supported games within the AJSA!
    Our starting lineup:
    - 7 Days to Die
    - CS:GO
    - Insurgency
    - Team Fortress 2
    Phase 2 -Up Now!
    - Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
    - Space Engineers
    - ARMA 3
    Coming soon:
    - Garry's Mod
As some of you may know there is a new process for getting games supported in the AJSA, if you want to see what it is or possibly step forward to run a game read Commander Seph's article!
    Changes to Club Membership
We want to re-evalute and value-add to the membership. There is a thread currently in the membership forum for those who have a membership to contribute to the conversation and state what they would like to see added or changed. If you you would like to be a part of the conversation go here!
Lastly, we are always looking for ways to improve the community and keep moving forward. Stay tuned for more announcements as the year goes on!

The game Guns of Icarus Online is now officially supported and we need you to come and make it the greatest clan ever!..Which won't be hard as we start off official support ranked #2 in the world in terms of likes! If you aren't familiar with the game (and if you're an AJS fan how could you not be familiar?) look here for Joe's latest video about the game demonstrating the gameplay basics that make it so fun.

    Clan Leadership

    Clan Leader - Artose
Clan Officers - BlackOpsElf (US), DeadlyScribe (EU), Niels Juel (EU), Captain Estrata (NZ), MR.Bane (US) and Church Shepard (US)

    How to Join

To join you have to boot up the game go to 'Community' from there 'Clan List' (we're number 2!) and then apply. To become a member of the clan you just need to be a member of the AJSA already, so if you want your friend to join you on the battlefield have them sign up here! We're trying to process them as quickly as possible but as of this article there are well over 50 current applicants. To prove you are a member of the AJSA post in this topic where names will be checked for applicants http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/19457-gun-of-icarus-invites/

    Events

The first clan event is going to be a big group AJSA training event with the goal of fully crewing ships for 2v2 battles. The goal of this event is to get new players through the learning curve of the game and to improve teamwork amongst current players with the goal of getting people to know each other and to form sky-scurvy-suffering crews for competitive play down the road. Contact officers or just come and join us at 8pm GMT this Saturday (07/06/14).

    The Future

The plans for the future of the clan are to become a force in the competitive scene of the game, we'll have you guys beating the Devs just like Joe did! If you're dedicated and willing to do it turn up at the events, make yourself known to the officers but most of all have fun! This is only one-side of this constantly updated game which will hopefully have PvE combat added soon which the clan will be organised and ready for.

    Hey Guys! Angry Joe Here!
Things have been so super crazy for me over these past months its been hard to make regular appearances on the forums and teamspeak! I don't want you guys to think that I'm ignoring or neglecting anything (I've been chopping at the bit for a game we could all play together - but haven't yet found one I'd like to run) so I thought it maybe a good idea instead of trying to pop in every so often to say hi to various people on teamspeak - I could (in addition to that) make a set time where I run a Community Livestream meeting event! This will be bi-weekly for now!
This way people know where I will be to interact with on a set day and a set time! Basically I envision it being me browsing the forums engaging with the community for the first part of the live stream then the second part interact with the livestream chat! We could also use this opportunity to better familiarize our community with our Council Members, Commanders, Officers and Moderators!
I'm still working it all out but I'd like to run a test this upcoming SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16th at 6pm Central on my Twitch account at: twitch.tv/angryjoeshow
See you guys then! And thanks for all your patience and understanding!

The AJSA voted and we listened, we are opening a small guild for the Empire on the server Jedi Covenant for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is a free-to-play MMORPG set 10,000 years before the events of the original trilogy, and follows off of the single-player RPG, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, also made by BioWare. While the free-to-play restrictions have been controversial, the game is free to play up to level 50, which lets you play out the entire original campaign for your character; some of the stories are very well written and expertly voice-acted. Getting "Preferred Access" only requires spending $5 or more in-game, which lifts some of the restricts, allowing you to create up to 6 active characters.
Check out our launch post by our Guild Leader, TheFantasticFunk (in-game: Aicel), for more details on how to get involved: http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/11430-welcome-please-read/

Welcome to War Thunder Pilots! I'm Damion Rayne, Commander Air Group for the AJSA War Thunder Squadron. With the launch of Patch 1.37 and all the major changes and additions it brings to the game, command decided it was high time we started to officially support this great game. With ground forces and combined arms maps right around the corner, there was no reason not to support the game fully now. Getting in on the ground floor as it were...

    Squadron Recruitment Status: OPEN
    Events Scheduling: WEEKLY

    Hey guys!
So November has come and gone! Wow what a crazy month. We were a bit overwhelmed with our massive launch but were overjoyed when so many of you responded and joined the cause!
Within this short amount of time we crushed the servers, put the site to the test and managed to grow to an amazing 28,000+ Members! Not only that but by combining our might we helped get a bad ass Sci-fi game made in The Mandate!
We just wanted to let you know that we've been hard at work behind the scenes testing our tournaments system, preparing additional giveaways and contests, and working to build the infrastructure for our regular gaming Op Nights. More on this very soon!
Its taken a bit longer than we would have liked what with the next generation of consoles Xbox vs PS4 hoopla, family time for most of us during Thanksgiving, throwing fists at Black Friday and getting sick over the weekend (Angry Joe).
As you know we did a contest giving out a PS4 during our first month and had also announced we'd be doing one for Xbox One as well as brand new Nvidia GTX Graphics card! Those are on their way, but we'd like to wait till after at least December 6th. Why? Well thats when many of you become Full AJSA members (promoting automatically from recruits to members after the 30 day trial period!)

This way we can run some of our contests for Members Only to limit the amount of entries and reward those of you who are active in the community!
So we've got plenty more coming, even during these continuing busy holidays.
What you can look forward to in December:
More Regular Live Streams from Angry Joe (3 times a week!)
New Community Live Streams from AJSA_Delrith
New Community Live Streams from AJSA_Gaming (spectating many of our Op Nights)
Regular Op Nights in Planetside 2, LOL, DOTA 2, and Battlefield 4.
Beta Key Giveaways for some popular upcoming games
Tournaments for the Coming Season in League of Legends w/ Cash Prizes
More Free Giveaways (We have at least 2 giveaways planned)
    And Much More!

Be sure to check our Event Calendar to Stay up to date with Whats Happening!
