    Hey guys, look who it is? It’s me, AverageSpacePope. No? No one remembers? Okay… moving on. Joking aside, I’m looking to pump some much needed support into viable games for the AJSA and with the help of the EF, I’m hoping to do just that, starting with, drum roll please... Warframe! (*Insert super expensive clap effect and GIF here*)

    Now if you’re unfamiliar with Warframe you may be thinking, what the hell is Warframe? Short answer; Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter parkour heavy space ninja simulator. If that has you interested then read on. If you want any further information on the game, click this link here: https://www.warframe.com/game

    Now to start things off, we’ll be starting our first event this Saturday 21:00 BST. However, this first event will basically a tutorial session. What do I mean? Well, Warframe has a very deep set of gameplay mechanics that, once understood, are very easy to use but are hard to master. In the first few hours of Warframe, the game will take you through a sequence of tutorial/story missions and it’s here where you’ll get to grips with the games mechanics and overall plot/theme. However, the game can be overwhelming for new players and that’s where I come in. I’ll be there to help out and answer any questions that people may have.

    What if I’ve played the game before and don’t need any help? You’re welcome to turn up any time this month. We’ll be setting up a channel where anyone needing help or just wanting to party up can stay and chat. This is where we’ll be hosting all Warframe events from too.

    I’m looking to give Warframe a real shot here in the AJSA. Hopefully, you guys and gals will give the game a shot and who knows, maybe it’ll become your new favourite game.

    SpacePope, over and out.

  5. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Arreyanne in Why does the new Mass Effect seem to be getting so much flak?
    I;m a little late to this party but 67 hours into the game I can now honestly give a fair review.

    1) It starts very slow; it reminds me of the first 7 levels in FFXIV, 10 hour to get to lvl 7 anyone, but thats a different game
    If you're going for 100% complete it's going to take 2-3 hours before you get off, The main space station.After the gameplay increases exponentially.
    2) The default female's are some of the weirdest looking character in Gaming period. The default female Quanari in Dragon Age Inquisition look better
    3) The UI there are a lot of menus to go through to find what your looking for
    4) Leaving the space station the game picks up the pace and becomes much like ME2 in advancement.
    5) Female Ryder has a ton of one-liners if you select the right response, nowhere near as serious as FemShep
    6) Yes sometimes the facial animations leave you saying WTF And all the PC's and NPC's have what I consider dead eyes
    7) I miss the mass Relays but can live with the travel scenes they gave us in MEA
    8) Still not a fan of the Mako (Not what they call it this time) but it's easier to drive. A nice shuttle to hop around the planet like ME2 gave us launched from orbit would have suited me just fine
    9)The skill system is improved I believe as you can become all or one of the classes in the Trilogy
    10) the romance options are ok but like previous game if you are doing side quest on a planet and not advancing the story arc the romance doesn't progress. In short the Flirt options go away until you advance either you compaion loyalty mission or advance the story, pfft
    11) Combat is pretty much as good as ME3 and ME2, cept you don't have elevated enemies a Vanguard cant get to like ME2

    OH left my biggest gripe out.
    THERES NO QUICK SAVE

    I give it a 8.5 out of ten. Disagree or agree thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

  6. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in What score do you think Joe will give Mass Effect Andromeda?
    Andromeda is having.... an interesting time right now based on the reviews.

    What score do you think Joe will give this game? And will he say "YOU DONE FUCKED IT UP!"?

    My guess is he's most likely going to give the game..... either a 6 or a 7. He'll certainly say that this game is a disappointment and a low point in the series. As for the "YOU DONE FUCKED IT UP", that depends on if he considers poor performance, dat fucked up botched face lifts of human faces and the lame as all hell dialogue as "FUCKED IT UP". Maybe he'll also mention how the story is weak and just a re thread of the first Mass Effect game and factor that as too, if the plot is as bland as I heard from other people that played the game already. But most likely yes, he will say those delicious words.

    One thing's for sure though, this review will be a delight to watch. Let us wait for it to come, with pop corn and a spoon full ice cream.

    Hi guys and gals, it's SpacePope here.

    I've been wondering, would anyone here be interested if we set up an AJSA Clan within Warframe? Just wanted to gauge everyone's interest. Obviously this will be a massive time sink to get all of the basics set up for the Clan but with enough support, it should definitely be a lot of fun. I'm interested in hearing what you guys have to say.

    (For those who don't know what Warframe is, it's basically a third person Free-to-Play shoot-em-up with cool arse graphics. If you've never played or heard of Warframe before and you're interested in learning more, go here for more information: https://www.warframe.com/game).
  8. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Rain in Mass Effect Andromeda,Worth pre-order/getting it at Launch?
    I loved all three of the originals and even though ME3 had a shitty ending, the rest of the content was up to par and in my opinion an improvement to gameplay. I not only pre-ordered...I pre-bought MEA lol. The gameplay and universe looks amazing, that fast paced action is a welcome change in my eyes.

    So it's all personal opinion, if you loved the originals but cautious about the new one then wait awhile and don't pre-order. You would know right away if you wanted to pre-order based off what you've seen, save yourself the headache if you can't decide and wait for reviews.
  9. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Legolas_Katarn in Total War : Warhammer DLC Bullshitery
    I don't know why you think releasing high quality content to be bullshit. Along with all the free DLC they have released, and are about to release with the Bretonnia and vampire legendary lord, the faction DLC has been very good. Adding two armies that play very differently, with their own world map mechanics and buildings, have their own lords and heroes, and units with unique looks and animations.
    They are on sale frequently. They just had a sale a few days ago, when Total War Warhammer released it remained $45 for weeks instead of $60. The base game is currently in a Humble Bundle with six other games for $12.

    Hello and welcome back! Pleasure to meet you.
    Happy to report that the AJSA is still going strong and we have a presence across all major platforms (PC, Xbox & PS4). Event scheduling/structure and game support vary by Division.
    There isn't any particular game that we are all doing at the same time right now but the PC/Xbox/PS4 have their own heavy hitters and additional community titles that rally themselves together. The forums and Discord are great because they help promote discussion and bring everyone together in one venue.
    Thanks for checking up on things and seeing whats up.
    Cya around!

    New thread for 2017.

    Let other AJSA members know what games you have finished this year. Post a few words about what you thought of the game, a longer review, a video review or footage, screenshots, etc. Feel free to discuss the games we've beaten or to talk to others about them. For a game to be considered beaten either finish the single player portion of the game or, for games without campaigns (MMOs, sports games, multiplayer only games, etc), play to a point where you have seen what the game has to offer. Not going to be counting DLCs as individual games (as that could get confusing) but feel free to post your thoughts on them as that is also the point of the thread. If it is an expansion that was sold separately or stand alone content like Shogun 2's Fall of the Samurai I will count that. Episodic games will count as one game, not a game per episode, but feel free to mention each one if you want to discuss each episode individually.

    If you want to see what people thought of a certain game or see how many people have played it you can use the search function near the top right of the page and type in the game's title, just switch the search option to be for this topic.

    I'll keep track of how many games we each have finished to see who has been playing the most and what our combined total is for the year.

  16. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Rain in Mass Effect Andromeda will not have Paragon/ Renegade morality system.
    If it's anything like Dragon Age, there won't be a definitive "good or bad" story arc like the original Mass Effects. If you've played Dragon Age, reading the responses is definitely required to determine your course of action/attitude and will most likely be the case in Andromeda. And they do a pretty good job writing out the responses to give either a 1. Nice 2. Neutral or 3. Asshole response with the possibility of even more options to choose from.

    Hm. Good point.

    The first hours of the game is pretty much the demo. Plus the Bullet Hell shoot em up segment. The game's not fully installed yet so this is as far as I can go for now. But if this is how the game starts, then the rest of the game may have even more surprises. I can't wait. Who knows, maybe this game may end up being 2017's hidden surprise and be even better than Horizon Zero Dawn. But I'll have to wait and see.

    Some of you may remember me whilst a lot of you probably won't have the slightest clue about who I am. Well, I'm an Ex-Game Officer/Moderator for the AJSA. I used to run all of the BF4 Events back in 2014... wait 2014!?!? Wow... 2 years... crap... Well, it's been a while since I've played any active role within this community and just recently I felt like checking back to see how everyone's doing. So what games are you all playing? Who's doing what? Who's the most popular kid on the block? Etc, etc.

    Hello AJSA Arma 3 fans!

    This is just a quick notice:
    we now have a working arma 3 server, which is currently running Ahoyworld's invade and annex, which I've modified slighty.
    This server is going to be used as both a private server for our events, and a public server for the rest of the time.

    Hopefully we'll be having our first event next sunday (9th July), but between now and then I need to do some load testing on the server.

    So:

    The server is open to the public, and the more people in the game, the more exciting and immersive invade and annex becomes, so I invite all AJSA members with Arma 3 to join in.

    Monday evening, at about 6pm BST, there will be both an unoffical event/meetup on the public server, and a meeting for all those wishing to get involved with Arma, to discuss what direction we want to go with the game, and what you guys want from the community over the coming months.

    By joining in, you'll be helping forge what will hopefully be a great community, and a great experience, for all those playing Arma 3 here.

    See you in teamspeak and in the field, and thank you, soldiers!

    They must be stopped.

    Gentlemen:
    On Sunday 9th August, at 8:30PM BST (UK local time), a new mission will begin.

    The briefing will begin at 8:30pm, and our attack will begin at precisely 8:40pm.
    We hope to achieve this mission in 1 hour 45 minutes.

    Overnight, CSAT forces made an incursion into the city of Pyrgos, on the eastern side of Altis.
    We have poured resources into the city, but it will without doubt fall to the enemy.
    This is only one in a series of cities lost to CSAT forces as their gradual invasion of our country continues.

    They are criminals.

    We may not have the most explosives, tanks, or weapons, but this is our island.
    Some of our agents are still in the city, they stayed to destroy the plans and information they've been gathering.
    We don't know how many of them are still alive, but we have to find them.
    They may still carry with them valuable intelligence and secrets, information that we need to stop this onslaught.

    Our mission is to:
    Infiltrate the city, and hold off the CSAT forces, and safely extract our agents.

    We have a few vehicles that survived the initial assault.
    We have some weapons and ammunition, but not enough.
    Use what you can scavenge in the city from enemy forces and our dwindling weapons caches.

    ~~~~~
    We will be using teamspeak for communication.
    The server will be running vanilla Arma 3, although certain mods can be used.
    Speak to either me (Humorousone) , or dodge ram for any further information regarding mods, or the mission.
    Clean your weapons, and be ready.
    There will be a game leader meeting for all primary leaders for across all games and platforms. Of course not everyone can make it and we understand. Please if you can make the below listed time.
    The meeting will take place this Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 AM CDT.
    What I mean by game leaders is the primary and only the primary leader whether they're a sergeant or officer. This will be to allow discussion between council and commanders with game leaders at one time. We will be bringing up our goals and intentions for the present and the near future. We will without a doubt have a Q&A part of the meeting after all necessary information has been relayed.
    At this time the meeting will take place on the AJSA teamspeak server. We will have a specific channel for the meeting so please be on time. This is obviously not easy to get together which is why we don't expect everyone to show. But we need as many in attendance as possible so that we may have as clear and direct of a communication between all those in a position of responsibility.
  24. AverageSpacePope liked a post in a topic by Conan in GAME ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2015
    With the month of August coming up, the EF is preparing to move onto its next game, namely Rocket League!
    What is Rocket League?
    Rocket League is a physics-based vehicle soccer game, which was released on the 7th of July this year. It received widespread positive reviews and has at the moment of writing this article an approval rating of 94% on Steam.
    The game itself offers both Singleplayer and Multiplayer matches in a futuristic Sports-Action game, offering a perfect opportunity to give the AJSA tournament system another spin.
    With the game having received such a positive reception upon its release and with its reasonable price tag, we here at the EC deemed this game more than suitable to serve as the third game for the EF.
    Temporary Sergeants
    Those of you who are interested in taking up a leadership position for the second game of the Expeditionary Force should fill out this Google Form. It will enable us to easier shortlist all applicants. Due to the nature of this game the Sergeants will have more of a supervisory role than an actual leadership role.
    Before applying, please make sure to familiarise yourself with our rules and guidelines on temporary Sergeants:
    Dedicated Players
    We encourage commitment and attendance within the EF, thus we offer attendance pips for those players who register themselves as dedicated players (You can still attend all events without making this commitment). As such dedicated players promise to attend at least 50% of the events, for which they will receive said attendance pip at the end of the month.
    GTA V has been always about killing people, money, and hoes. But what about races, showing off cars, and strippers??? What if we have a community official race events, where we show off our best street cars of the category and gets a prize of the best looking ones? What about taking long trips together as a crew? What about speed drag race that you can show off who is the boss?
