Hey guys it has been ages since I shared anything on this forum.  But I wanted to share a machinima with you that I starred in (ages ago).  Well I was recently informed that production has picked up again and they are currently working on episode 4.  I will admit that I was in the dark about it for a while but I am back on the project and I hope that if any on here like it, please share it.  I know my client would appreciate it greatly (along with a small following on Youtube).  Thank you and Enjoy.

That's a bit weird though isn't it? How are new video makers supposed to garner an audience on Blip if they start off with a low number of views and then get kicked off?
It seems that any successful video hosting site these days forgets that they built themselves up from people just sharing videos onto the internet and are now primarily money focused.
Whilst as business I can sort of understand it - it still suck dong.

Even from a business stand point this lacks foresight. You remove any hope of new producers that could be a hit larger than anything on Blip but due to policy changes, you will not see that happen. Not on Blip anyway.
  5. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by BlondishMist748 in Should we live stream? (eventually)
I think the best way would be to post a twitch of all Smite clan members somewhere, and say something like "Hey when we play, you can watch it from several views." I think it would work very well.
We have a certain number of people in AJSA clan, obviously not all of them can play, and not all of them can stream. But let's take a team of player playing Smite with the AJSA, but only 3 people can stream (PC, Internet etc...) if someone who wants to watch would see link to three accounts in the same game he couldw atch from the player he wants.
And it would be required to put into the space under your stream links to others in AJSA clan. It would make some nice experience for the viewer.
For example you could not play one games, because you had to feed a cat or something (lol), you came back when the match started, you could go on TeamSpeak, turn on streams of other players and say "Hey Blondish, use this ability and buy this item" you could help and advice and watch what is going on.
I think pinned post in Smite forum would be enough. Also I think there should be a certain rule about only Veterans will be shown in that post so new member don't try just get famous and views. But if dedicated member of AJSA would get attention on Twitch, those channels could stream more games with AJSA, promoting AJSA to other people.
Let's take it this way. For example I would be one of the streamers. I would get 500 followers. I would play normal games I like, but I could play something like "Rust - AJSA server !" and put IP in the description. Or "Guild Wars 2 - AJSA guild", "ESO: AJSA" etc etc... I don't have ESO, but as an example.
Many officers could do that. I saw a PewDiePies stream on GMod where he played with fans and it was really good, so if Delrith or Joe himself would play something they could link TeamSpeak to be heard.
In full role-play mode : AJSA would conquere the state of Twitch !
In lame not-roleplay mode: We would be on Twitch .
If you like this idea I will be probably on TeamSpeak if I won't PM me I will ride my fluffy unicorn and join

Everything you just said in your second paragraph, and I quote:

...is what many many fans want. Not all, of course, but a lot.
Which, contradicts with your statement here:

The fans, by the way, didn't want Capcom to invest 40 million USD into mobile gaming... because they KNEW it would flop. What happened? *fart noise*
    And to add:

How is ANY of that the fans' fault?
    Trick question. It's not.

  10. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by Beatmaster A.C. in Capcom cam't catch a break.
if that is the case then why isn't a new Megaman out yet? The fans wanted Megaman but Capcom screwed the entire Franchise. They screwed Devil may cry thx to Ninja Theory, the milk the customer with a new SF and Marvel vs...games, Resident Evil turned to be a Call of Duty Action game instead of a Survival/Action Horror. Fans wanted a Sequel to Chaos Legion but Capcom didn't listen to the Fans. The only good game was Monster Hunter 3.

Hope you win. Your voice acting sounds better to me than some others' that did main characters in certain games.
  12. Bast50 liked a post in a topic by Maleficent5 in A quick audition for BioWare
Yeah this isn't the biggest and fanciest video, but I caught wind of BioWare doing a contest for fans to be a part of Dragon Age III: Inquisition.  How could I say no to that?  I don't really expect to win (as I have learned not to get my hopes up), but you never know right?  Funny thing is that if I do win I feel like it will all come full circle for me.  I actually started my Voice Acting career on the BioWare Social Network with Dragon Age: Origins mods (Craggy Island and The Shattered War for example).  I know I am talking way too much so here it is, my small audition piece as a random villager.

9 days til it is announced who won.  I have my doubts (as I do with everything I audition for), but we will see.  Thanks for the support from you guys and if anyone on here needs an actor for anything just give me a call.

Oh man...just wow.  I am glad that no one got violent, I may have lost my temper much faster than anyone else.  When Matti said, “Two of the other teams have women on them. Do you think they’re at a disadvantage?” I would have either slugged him or just left immediately.  I am just amazed that Maker let that go as bad as it did.  I feel bad for everyone involved.  I have dealt with this crap before with my career (although it has been minimal so far) but it still can get to me.  Riflebird is right, it all came down to very poor management.  I know how that is first hand with at least 2 different jobs.  They should have manned up and reeled that Matti asshole in.  I normally wouldn't say this but if anyone seriously is need of some trolling, it is that Matti ass hole.  Granted there are others like him out there, but that was just ridiculous.  Again I feel sorry for everyone involved, especially the developers and the youtubers who were invited down to what became an absolute waste of time.  I don't think I need to hear from other people of what happened.  It was such a disaster that it isn't necessary and I know I would just like to put the whole thing behind me (if I was there).  I will say that the original concept was nice.  The issue was that it got completely destroyed by sponsors and TV studio morons that think "Reality TV" (a.k.a. Garbage) is always the way to go.

If I could I would want to send my condolences to all of the devs and youtubers involved for the horrible experience they had.  It was just terrible what that director did and I am glad that all of you (devs and all) stood your ground and said NO MORE.  I hope you are all doing well and having a much better time away from it all.  Have a good one.

Well the dev teams didn't bow down to it and failed to provide cheap stupid drama. This is a victory kind of. The quotes from that guy are atrocious it's like he's living in the 20's and I glad someone who hired him lost 400 thousand dollars of investment for not doing their research and allowing the project to turn into a stupid reality show.

The whole episode reminds me of this, Pinky and the Brain realized reality tv was low IQ entertainment eons ago.  I'm still amazed and shocked that this kind of stupidity actually succeeded with the public(and not just in the US btw.) I think it boils down to the ultimate form of public gossip but it's just so stupid.
  16. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by FoxNorg in Why Commander Joe went to Disneyland this weekend.
Well, if you paid attention to our commander's twitter you noticed he said something of a game jam falling apart and going to Disneyland (lucky). Though the game jam was actually going to have youtubers partner up with indie gamers and make games. What happened was... well, read the article:
    http://indiestatik.com/2014/03/31/most-expensive-game-jam/
sad something that was sounded fricken awesome was so horribly ruined in such an ugly fashion.

Edit: Apparently the author possibly got fired for this article according to his twitter.
Edit 2: Just after I did 1 edit, he posts that his boss tells him he isn't fired in another tweet... dang it.
  17. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by Silverfox in Why Commander Joe went to Disneyland this weekend.
What I believe is partly to blame it seems like this "Coporate Commander" person was trying to transform the Game Jam into a reality series by provoking drama between the contestants.

As an ametuer game designer and having participating in Game Jams myself I can tell you they are A LOT of fun, you start with an idea and then hours, many hours, later you have something you made. Something tanigable and playable.

It hurts me as an aspiring designer to see what I consider to be a sacred ritual among gamers, game designers and otherwise fans of the indie scene, preverted by the ignorance of one very ignorant soul.

I would wager that his goal was to use GAME_JAM as a means to promote himself as a director for an "young and independent scene" overshadowing what should have been the star which is the art and craft of game design.
  18. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by Riflebird in Why Commander Joe went to Disneyland this weekend.
Wow, what an unmitigated disaster. I'm amazed I haven't heard more of this event, sounds like big news what with $400,000 going straight into the toilet mostly because of just one man.

Yeah, that Matti guy seemed like a major douche. Not only was he unprofessional, but he showed a blatant ignorance of who his targeted demographic was by trying to turn a game jam documentary into a scripted reality show drama. The guys at Maker really should have grown a pair and reigned this asshole in from the outset, as everyone saw that he and his team were a disaster waiting to happen. Yet because of their managerial failure, the entire event was ruined.

Oh well, hopefully the next event (if there IS a next event) will be better managed. This game jam fiasco was a pure failure on management's part to keep things on task and everyone on point.

You may recognize us from the stream Joe had. We are the Corporate Commanders. Until there is an official guild that is supported by the council, all AJSA members are welcome to join our guild. We have cookies
Message Seph Omen, CrtlAltFrank, N00ban4ga, or Zealumeio/Zealumbra for an invite in game. Or you can find me on teamspeak (usually in league channel) or message me on here.

Like Angry Joe said the Mall was off access and consider the Black Friday trilogy might have something to do with that it would be cool to see the aftermath of the Mall and what quests you could do in it.
Also it would be nice to see all the more well known characters become buddies. I'm talking Clyde, Craig, Token, etc.!

So guys after finishing the Stick of Truth I am actually excited for more.  So now I am curious what you guys would like to see as DLC.  I have no idea what they are going to do with DLC so for now just express what you love to see.  Whether it be costumes, buddies, summons, or new quests.

Personally I would love to see a Santa Claus summon, mowing down my enemies with those Christmas missiles from Red Sleigh Down.  I also wouldn't mind seeing Tweek as a buddy.  The guy was a member of the Bus Stop crew for almost a whole season so I wouldn't mind seeing him as a DLC buddy option.  I would also like to know what happened to any fights with the Vampire kids.  Oh well I will stop here before I go on and on.  Please share what you would like to see as DLC for South Park: The Stick of Truth.

    My badass idea:
The game does a retelling of the banned 200th and 201th episodes, Tom Cruise, Fudge Packers, and the Muslim Prophet Ali, it's perfect.

  25. Maleficent5 liked a post in a topic by Silverfox in What Games/Franchises deserve a second chance?
Building on Maleficent5's post I would agree that Banjo and Kazooie deserves a true sequel, rather Banjo Tooie deserves a true sequel.

I think Nuts and Bolts suffered from an identity crisis. From what I have gathered it was originally built to be a full fledged platformer but had the racing tact on when the levels became too big to traverse on foot. Or that the game was intended to be an original IP but Banjo and Kazooie were tact on to pull fans of the franchise.

Banjo and Kazooie holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite games from my childhood. It is a shame that Microsoft hasn't capitalized on the talent Rare has to offer. Banjo Threeie could have been the platformer that would have pulled younge auidences and veteran gamers alike from Nintendo over to Microsoft but instead left Rare to developing subpar Kinect games. It deserves a true sequel, a game that harkens back to the age of platforming when games were about fun, not graphics and pixels.
