Horus. What more needs to be said about the Egyptian god of Kings besides he's a total badass.

Well it was never an official statement, but when you have a giant snake coiling around the map in a game about mythologies that include norse gods. Then you can kind of connect the dots.
  3. Seraphyx liked a post in a topic by BlondishMist748 in Should we live stream? (eventually)
I think the best way would be to post a twitch of all Smite clan members somewhere, and say something like "Hey when we play, you can watch it from several views." I think it would work very well.
We have a certain number of people in AJSA clan, obviously not all of them can play, and not all of them can stream. But let's take a team of player playing Smite with the AJSA, but only 3 people can stream (PC, Internet etc...) if someone who wants to watch would see link to three accounts in the same game he couldw atch from the player he wants.
And it would be required to put into the space under your stream links to others in AJSA clan. It would make some nice experience for the viewer.
For example you could not play one games, because you had to feed a cat or something (lol), you came back when the match started, you could go on TeamSpeak, turn on streams of other players and say "Hey Blondish, use this ability and buy this item" you could help and advice and watch what is going on.
I think pinned post in Smite forum would be enough. Also I think there should be a certain rule about only Veterans will be shown in that post so new member don't try just get famous and views. But if dedicated member of AJSA would get attention on Twitch, those channels could stream more games with AJSA, promoting AJSA to other people.
Let's take it this way. For example I would be one of the streamers. I would get 500 followers. I would play normal games I like, but I could play something like "Rust - AJSA server !" and put IP in the description. Or "Guild Wars 2 - AJSA guild", "ESO: AJSA" etc etc... I don't have ESO, but as an example.
Many officers could do that. I saw a PewDiePies stream on GMod where he played with fans and it was really good, so if Delrith or Joe himself would play something they could link TeamSpeak to be heard.
In full role-play mode : AJSA would conquere the state of Twitch !
In lame not-roleplay mode: We would be on Twitch .
If you like this idea I will be probably on TeamSpeak if I won't PM me I will ride my fluffy unicorn and join

Couldn't find any better quality ones that didn't include some sort of garbage music over the actual movie audio.

One of my favorite games and one of the only games I have supported in many many years. The only other game I spent money on is Warframe. 100ish on Firefall and 150 for Warframe.

I truly hope they can get everything fixed up and polished in FF as it has a ton of potential, especially for a community like the AJSA. Haven't played it in about a year and I can't run it very well anymore. I need more ram and probably a better cpu but I think ram is holding me back.

I don't have any hate for this person, I was not in the military or anything either though.

Personally I don't know if I can blame HIM for how effective his creation is, I think America and other countries have done far worse things. Atomic bomb anyone?

I mean honestly, how can you blame someone for creating something with the goal of protecting their country? Blame the people who use "science" and whatever else in a negative way rather than positive. We always see these movies and games where there is this cliche scientist that builds something for a good cause and it ends up being used for evil (metal gear). Can you really blame them? I can't, not really.

Now I'm by no means going to mourn their passing or celebrate it either, and I'm not going to celebrate their creations but I can't blame them for it. Everyone wants to think the world would be a better place without certain inventions like the AK or Atomic bomb but the fact is we don't know that. Maybe it would have been worse, maybe if we didn't figure out how to build these we would have stumbled across something far more atrocious. Who knows?

Guns dont kill people. People kill people.

Calling Kalasznikov a killer because he invented the AK, is like saying that Wright Brothers are responsible for bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They used a plane afterall.

AK was invented to decrease number of casualties among engineering units and vechicles crews, because before it they hadnt really good self defense weponry. Shortarms like pistols arent effective on range abofe few dozens of meters, and PPsh's took actually pretty lot of space, because of its drum magazine.

    "He armed soviet union"
Nope. Soviet Union armed Soviet Union. Same as Colt didnt arm USA, USA bought Colt's Invention and armed the soldiers with it.

Many people were killed with an AK's. No doubt. Many people were killed by swords. Or MP40. Or M16 and M4. But the gun can actually be used for protecting your property, or country.

I dont say we should mourn him. Mourning is for families. I say, that we better remember him, cause you like it or not, but his invention halped to shape the world the way its is now.

Oh, and terrorists don use this weapon because of the name on it. They use it because its cheap, its simple, and will work in any weather. You can find some nice shows, where soldiers throw AK's in to the water, sand, mud, and after it even drive trucks over it. After such thing, it shoots slower. But shoots.
  9. Gronth liked a post in a topic by Seraphyx in R.I.P. Mikhail Kalashnikov
I don't think anyone is arguing that he created it to do something other than kill people so there's no need to throw around sarcastic comments, it does absolutely nothing for the discussion. He was aware that he's creating a weapon, however, he has no control over who uses it and who doesn't, for what you would consider a "just" cause or an "evil" one. Terrorist or not. To blame him for all of the deaths is a bit ridiculous. If you want to be technical and say he invented therefore every kill with that gun is his fault, fine, that is your own opinion but I feel that the blame is entirely misplaced.

They've had this for probably over a year already... Sony added theirs after they got hacked saying something like you can't participate in a class action lawsuit against them. Everyone else followed suit after.

Either way, you can still sue them, their ToS is not the law they will just ban your account if you do more than likely. I believe even Steam has some similar clause for their ToS as well as almost every business ever.

  13. N00banaga liked a post in a topic by Seraphyx in Steam Warframe Packs
No probs. Just don't go crazy spending your platinum. I find the cash shop to actually be quite expensive and borderline a rip off for certain things.

The thing you may want to buy with platinum are inventory and warframe slots (I believe 12 platinum for 2 weapon slots and 20(?) platinum for 1 warframe slot, not too bad) and affinity booster (which is exp). I wouldn't bother with credit boosters yet, wait til you get to some higher level missions if you really want to buy one of those.

Cosmetics of course, by all means buy them if you want and the prices seem fair to you, you have no other way to obtain cosmetics outside of the cash shop. Everything else, weapons, warframes, sentinels (pets basically), you can craft just by playing the game and collecting the materials if you have the patience for it. Some of it can get pretty grindy but warframe has taught me A LOT of patience, I'm normally a very patient person in general but warframe really tested it sometimes ;p

If you buy a warframe from the cash shop it will come with some very nice things as well (but nothing you can't get without spending plat, but it IS quite convenient). A reactor (which doubles the amount of mod points, meaning you can add higher level mods or just more mods) and its own warframe slot. You can probably go for a very long time without buying any slots if you don't mind selling your weapons you get to max level and don't particularly like. I've logged around 350-400 hours and only now did I go a bit crazy buying slots for weapons. Previous I've only purchased 2, now I purchased about 10-12.

But yeah, totally up to you on what you do with the plat. I'm sure more people will give their opinion and advice. And sorry if you already know this stuff, not sure if you're completely new to warframe or if you're migrating from ps4 or if you're just downloading it through steam and already had the game off their website.

If you have the money, I think prime access is by far the best deal you can get out of anything currently available.
  14. N00banaga liked a post in a topic by Seraphyx in Steam Warframe Packs
I don't really think they're worth it. If you're looking to spend a lot of money just get the prime access or wait til you get a big discount as login rewards and buy plat straight up.

Look at the gift pack for example. Normally 40 dollars and comes with 500 plat, 50k credits (which is almost nothing but might be ok if you're barely starting the game), 7 random mods (which is pretty much useless since you can get complete garbage), and an affinity booster for a few days which is only a few plat anyway (like 2-5 dollars worth).

For 50 dollars with no discount on the website you get 1200 platinum which is already over double the platinum you get from that pack, which is the only thing worthwhile from it.

The Tenno pack which is 50 dollars now (normally 100) comes with 1500 platinum, 100k credits, 14 random common mods (again pretty much useless), 6 random rare mods (might be useful but again I would not buy the pack for this or even count on getting anything good), and an affinity and credit booster "for a few days" (so again maybe 2-10 dollars for both total).

For 100 dollars on the website you get 2520 platinum and two rare mods, vigor and shred. Both of those are pretty good and you at least know what you're getting.

Maybe the Tenno pack on Steam is worth it for 50 dollars but for 100, not a chance imo. If you happen to get a 50% or 75% discount from login rewards, buy platinum straight up from the website over any of the current packs on Steam. I honestly can't ever see a situation where I would buy the Steam packs over the platinum.
  15. Gone the Third liked a post in a topic by Seraphyx in What Games To Update To PC?
You are referring to a very small minority there which are known as enthusiast gamers or just PC enthusiasts in general... It's no different with ANY product you can buy. You have your brand name garbage that's ridiculously over priced and the "normal" far more reasonable things. You can buy a thousand or several thousand dollar suit that you might outgrow in a year or you can buy a hundred dollar suit that you might outgrow in a year. Same with cars, same with everything.

You do not need a 3000 dollar PC under any circumstances to play games at high settings. You can build one for roughly 800 dollars that will play practically anything on max settings and that will still likely last you many years playing games on high. I've had my PC for over 5 years and 90% of the games I can still play on high settings.

Like the poster above me said, if you're spending 3000 dollars on a PC and it's obsolete within a year, you are doing something VERY, VERY wrong. The only other explanation would be that there was a massive jump in technology within that year, however, even then games would not use that immediately or even for the next several years. Look at multi core processing, so many games STILL don't use multiple cores efficiently and how long have they been out now? Almost a decade, maybe more?
  16. Seraphyx liked a post in a topic by Gone the Third in What Games To Update To PC?
If you're spending three grand on a rig that gets outdated in a year, you're doing something VERY wrong.
Or you're buying Alienware. Same difference, most times.

The Void’s influence has further permeated the Orokin Derelicts… bringing loot with it! Visit The Orokin Derelict Survival missions today to find the Burston Prime! - The Void’s influence is still strong on the Orokin Derelicts –  and some Prime items have a new home. You can now search Orokin Derelict Defenses for the Sicarus Prime BP, Ember Prime BP, and Boar Prime Receiver! - Forest Weapon Skin pack! - Ho-ho-ho! Candy Cane Scythe skin & other holiday goodies! Look around, Tenno! - Network optimizations for melee and beam weapons added! - Added and replaced old Lotus lines (thanks for letting us know in the forums!)   Warframe Changes:   Valkyr:   Paralysis (Third Power) - Now only takes 1/3rd of shields but still calculates damage based on 1/2 shield use. Hysteria (Fourth Power) - Now has life regain/regeneration as damage is being dealt to enemies.     Ember: Fireball (First Power) - Deals Direct damage with a 100% Fire proc, on impact deals radial damage with 50% Fire Proc, has a faster travel time. Accelerant (New Second Power - was Overheat) - Accelerant affects all enemies in a radius to have knockback + it coats them in fire damage amplifier! Fire Blast - Initial radial damage now has 100% fire proc.     Saryn: Venom - Now does viral damage. Molt – The Molt Decoy now gets increased health with fusion level. Miasma - Damage increase and changed to corrosive damage type.     Changes:   - Infested Invasion missions now only require 3 completions for Battle Pay instead of 5. - Infested Invasions will always inherit node mission type if the preexisting node was: Exterminate, Defense, Mobile Defense, or Survival. If the node being Infested was not one of those, game will decide randomly out of the 4 (Exterm, Defense, M. Defense, Survival). - Increase limit on the number of rooms allowed in your Dojo. The limit is now 100 rooms! - Trinity’s Blueprint drops have moved to Iliad on Phobos to be dropped by Kril and Vor! - Armour/Shield/Health/Damage curves have been modified. We’ve lowered the “bullet sponge” to high level enemies, but they now deal more damage. The armour curve was radically dropped. The health and shields curves dropped slightly as well. However, damage output went up. - Adjustments to enemies targeting when using melee attacks – they go for you now, not the camera! - Adjustments to frequency of Lotus dialogue. - All Sentinel Weapons now respond to fire-rate mods, magazine-size mods, and reload-time mods. - Host election made a little bit more robust (corner cases, like interrupting election just before level starts, then restarting lobby etc) - Changes to weapon projectile logic. The motivation of this change is that we want weapons like grenades that explode to end up in the same spot on host and client (in sync) without having the traditional delay of a replicated projectile (in particular, we have grenades that can be remotely detonated and this requires more or less precise timing on the part of the local client). This should fix some random self-inflicted deaths!   Fixes:     - Fixed issues with Sentinel weapon stats not showing correct values. - Fixed Arsenal stats for weapons that have projectiles with complex damage (Ogris, Penta and Torid). - Fixed random enemy patrols stopping and spinning in doors. - Fixed Phorid level not loading. - Fixed Loki’s Switch Teleport giving Target Obstructed message when target isn't obstructed. - Fixed issue where Social menu goes off screen if opened closed in quick succession. - Fixed voice chat still being heard/usable when disabled in Settings. - Fixed scanner breaking on last scan charge. - Fixed Codex title not updating after navigation. - Fixed enemy tier getting reset after host migration - Fixed Trinity clipping with the Grakata for the Noble Animation set. - Fixed invasion missions sometimes resulting in no allies spawning. - Fixed Mobile Defense console context action showing up in other game modes. - Fixed issues with message box causing other screens to go wonky, even if it wasn’t visible! - Fixed missing mini-map components in Gas City tile set. - Fixed issue where dying players would not get a Revive or Forfeit prompt. - Fixed percent completed text in the Operation meters clipping the Attacker/Defender icons. - Fixed some issues where the happenings of the Warframe world (Alerts, invasions) were not being updated in real-time. - Fixed logic with Nova’s Wormhole cast – it is generated from your camera and the height of the cast has been adjusted. - Fixed Cameras not functioning correctly after being shot once, they’d get stuck trying to play pain animations. Cameras can’t feel pain… yet. - Fixed max deployable resource drones:      - Amount of deployable drones varies – you get one for every five mastery ranks. Mastery 0 – 4, 1 drone Master 5- 9, 2 drones Master 10 +,  3 drones.    - All Founders/Primes Access get +1 to each tier. So if you are Mastery 14 and Founder, you get 4. If Mastery 14 and no Founder status, you get 3. - Fixed texture issues, seen here: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/149613-missing-texture-or-something-along-those-lines-on-phobos/ - Fixed issues where having Reflex Guard mod equipped could result in rank-up test failures. - Fixed crashes caused by disabling local reflections. - Various crash fixes.
And here is the event post: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/150626-pc-event-the-cicero-crisis/?p=1780881   Join your fellow Tenno in Warframe’s latest event: The Cicero Crisis! The Forests of Earth have evolved. Centuries of manipulation by the Orokin have created breeds of super plants that grow tougher and faster than anything seen before. Until now the Grineer have been unable to conquer these unruly forests, but Councilor Vay Hek plans to use his Cicero Toxin to clear the land and make way for Grineer settlements. Visit Earth and sabotage Councilor Vay Hek's plans!   WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO DO -  Visit and Select the unique Mission located on Earth! -  Be sure to equip your Codex Scanner! Scan plants on Earth to collect necessary samples and data of mysterious plants! - Collecting the correct number of plant scans will unlock the permanent use of a Foundry Blueprint that can be used to create one of a variety of anti-toxins. - Equip and carry one of the anti-toxins into a mission and load it into the Cicero Toxin injectors that you must find in the mission. - Work solo or with a team. Each player can take a different anti-toxin into the mission to create a combination of anti-toxins. Combining anti-toxins will make them last longer and increase your score. - These Forest missions will have dynamic Day and Night settings! Every six hours, Day will change to Night, and Night to Day as the cycle goes on! New plants will appear throughout the Day and Night, so be sure to explore at different times!   EVENT START AND END TIME The Cicero Crisis is on now and will end on Monday, January 6 at 12 PM EST.   SCORING Upon completing each mission, all Tenno in your Squad will receive the same point score. This score is determined by the rarity of anti-toxins used in the mission: Common anti-toxin = 10 points Uncommon anti-toxin = 15 points Rare anti-toxin = 25 points To achieve a 100 point score, all four Tenno in your Squad must bring a Rare anti-toxin worth 25 points each, and successfully defend the Cicero Toxin injector.   Solo and Squad Scoring – Aim for your personal best! Your best mission score will be saved (max 100). Clan Scoring - Clan scores will accumulate to determine Clan winners at the end of the event.   REWARDS - Score 10 points and you will receive an Event Badge. - Score 50 points and you will receive a set of 4x Dual Stat Mods (Status chance + Toxic Damage). - Score 100 points and you will earn a set of Twin Wraith Vipers! - A Gold, Silver and Bronze Clan Statue will be distributed to the top three Clans in each Clan Tier. Psh no amd support, lame. I probably wouldn't be able to use it anyway as I'm not good with linux (I even had issues just trying to install chrome on mint... fumbled around enough forums and trial and error to get it installed but figured if it was that annoying to install chrome it's not worth it to try and install the rest of the things I need).

If SteamOS becomes as easy to use as windows (and supports a large majority of the software and games) without all the bullshit I'd switch to it immediately.

  25. Seraphyx liked a post in a topic by GreyWolf in Joe is pissed and is going full assault on Youtube, although Google is the one at fault here. Still, Joe has to dispute the claims for now.
Well, I think this has been the first time I've ever weighed in on a topic.... And as such, I will weigh in with a very long-winded statement.
Let me just say for the record that I came across Joe's YouTube channel by pure accident around 3 years ago. I found his general take on video games very closely mirrored my own thought processes. I have waited for Joe's reviews on games before I purchase them for very good reason. I am, for all intents and purposes, quite poor. After several purchases that I consider wasted money, I came to the realization that YouTube is huge. There MUST be a way for me to prevent wasting money saved over the course of a month or more for something that people widely regard as a shit game. I have since found that answer in Joe's channel and others.
Since my discovery of Joe's channel, it has opened my eyes to the whole YouTube scene as a wider community. Joe's channel even introduced me to TotalBiscuit and Dodger. Which in turn lead me to Jesse Cox, Boogie2988, and others. I realized that there was a whole community out there that are passionate about games and could help me make an informed decision about what I end up buying. For this reason and others, I would first off like to thank Joe from the bottom of my heart. I love video games. They offer a much better distraction and much more entertainment value than renting a movie or watching Netflix. There is a personal factor to a good video game that gives a feeling of accomplishment and joy. Something that a movie or TV show cannot. I also feel that Joe's reviews along with others help protect me and what little funds I have.. and for this I'm eternally grateful.
Joe works hard in an effort to inform, entertain, and protect us all at the same time. And I really do appreciate him for this. This whole blanket "crackdown" from YouTube is a travesty for content providers like Joe that should not be pushed aside or ignored. People like Joe are being hit hard by a Bot system that is woefully mis-programmed and definitely poorly implemented, to say the least. I, for one, have absolutely NO desire for one of my favorite YouTuber's to lose his livelihood over this Bot system.
So, I will say this; Joe, we're all here for you. We all back you. TB nailed it on the head when he stated "people watch the content for the personality, not the game itself". This is quite literally a fact. And as such, if you have to go so far as changing venues, your fan base will follow. Granted, I hope that an equitable solution can be made... but your fans are exactly that.. YOUR fans. If you have to go the drastic route, I feel it safe to say, that we will follow. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't already some form of kickstarter labelled "Save the Angry Joe Show".
So, chin up. Even if worse comes to worse... you've taken care of us for years. You've reveled with us over the good games and warned us about the bad. You've kept us informed and entertained us through all of it. If badness happens, You have a following that can take care of you in turn. YouTube may seem to abandon it's content providers, but fans won't. So, even if drastic changes have to take place and we all have to switch to other web sites to watch your show, then so be it.
Regardless of what may happen with YouTube.... I'll see YOU on the next Angry Joe Show.
