I think you should just be able to make a channel when you want to actually use it, just give the people who donate the ability to create a channel but get them to delete it when not using it... I mean it literally takes two minutes if that to make a ts channel.

Should The Angry Army Play Arma 3?
Leave your vote and your opinion in the Thread Below!
*No Council Bashing
*Respect Current Decisions, but know it can be reversed with enough demand from members in The AJSA!
Good Squad System
Big Open Maps
Multiple Kinds of Vehicles and Combat Situations
Can be used for Co-Op or for VS/Objective based training.
Player Limit could be a problem (Depends on which server you get)
Bugs (Could be fixed) and Graphics kind of look murky unless you have a decent graphics card
No dedicated leaderboards
No real faction support
Current Council Decision: Passed! Currently looking for Game Officers to run it.
At Least 1 Experienced Officer - In order for the AJSA to run an efficient Division within that new game, there must be at least ONE Experience Game-Specific Officer who is designated as "Guild Leader" (creating the guild in game as the owner). This Game Officer will then have the responsibility to run the game in cooperation with other Officers that he selects (and are approved by Command). He becomes the single point of contact for all AJSA Matter related to that Game. Game Specific Officers may not run multiple Game Divisions within the Angry Army - They are in charge and support for only ONE at a time so that it has their FULL Attention.

Reading this will Ensure you win Domination the fastest and most funnest way
Best Civilizations for a Domination Victory America France Germany Japan Persia Russia It’s tough to narrow it down for a domination victory because there are loads of viable options, you could easily add Songhai, China, Greece, Rome and the Ottomans to the list. This highlights one of the flaws with Civilization 5 and indeed every Civ before it – even if you intend to go for a different victory you’ll often find yourself sucked into a situation where domination makes the most sense. The main reason for this is the fact that the AI is very aggressive and fighting a defensive war is pointless.
America gets +1 sight for all land units and has the special units - Minuteman and B17. France has the Musketeer and the Foreign Legion. Germany has a 50% chance of converting defeated barbarians and they get the Landsknecht and the Panzer. Thanks to Bushido Japan’s units remain at maximum strength even when damaged and they have the Samurai and the Zero. Persia get 50% longer Golden Ages and during a Golden Age their units get +1 move and +10% offensive bonus, they also have the Immortal unit. Russia has the Krepost which increases XP for land units and the Cossack unit.
Best Wonders for a Domination Victory The Great Library Himeji Castle The Forbidden Palace The Great Wall Brandenburg Gate The Kremlin Pentagon There are no real essential wonders for a domination victory but a lot of these options will really help. The Great Wall, Himeji Castle and The Kremlin will make it very tough for anyone to invade you. The Pentagon is great for reducing costs (50% less to upgrade units). It is also worth putting some effort into science so things like The Great Library are very handy for developing new tech
Best Policies for a Domination Victory Honor Rationalism Autocracy Order Commerce The first obvious choice is Honor which allows you to increase the strength of your military, improve experience and reduce the unhappiness and cost associated with war.
Rationalism and Commerce offer a big boost to science and economics respectively. Neither is directly military but they certainly help support a military civilization.
Autocracy boosts the strength of your units, reduces unhappiness and costs and allows you to double your strategic resources. With Order you can get an attack bonus in friendly territory, reduce costs and unhappiness and increase production.
Obviously the big two for any serious military force are Honor and Autocracy.
A big military force and even military buildings are very expensive so make sure you have a sound economy as a basis. You’ll also need to take into account the punishing effect of unhappiness on your civilization if you conquer too many cities. This can be combated by constructing buildings that increase happiness and by making many of your conquests puppets instead of annexing them.
General Strategy for a Domination VictoryThe domination victory in Civ 5 feeds into everything and that’s why you’ll often find it the easiest kind of victory to aim for, even if you started out aiming for something else. You need a good economy, good research and a happy population to wage war.
Hitting out at the closest civilizations to you at the beginning of a game can work well. If you can crush an opponent before they have time to develop then do it. Remember to go to war on your terms, you don’t want to fight fair, you want to go to war the turn after you build a new military unit that your opponent doesn’t have and start by grabbing their workers and any settlers you can see to paralyse their growth.
A combination of ranged units and melee units is best and keep a general nearby because he’ll give you an attack bonus (he can also be stacked on the same square as a military unit). Remember that you can’t take cities with ranged attacks so you’ll always have to follow up by marching in.
Alliances with City States can provide a great pretext for war because other people will often attack them. If you make sure to befriend military City States they’ll even give you military units as gifts.
In order to win you only actually need to take the capital cities so target them specifically. The chances are you’ll take a few others too but don’t be afraid to raze them or create puppets. If your empire gets too big the effect on happiness can be devastating.
Hope this guide helps you to crush your opponents. If you have anything to add Message me -Commander Shepard out!
Mr Bigglesworth liked a post in a topic by Yoshi Powder in Game requests really don't work...
Hello everyone, it has come to my attention that the way to get games official doesn't really work in my opinion. I don't really want to go into it but i have a quick example here. CIv 5 a game that myself and around 30 others wanted to get voted up was ineligible stating that there was no guild/clan need. This is fine of course and we accepted this as fact, we still had a group of around 30 and could easily play good full games with that...But my issues lies when games such as Xcom get accepted and is now going through a public poll. I mean you have to admit if Civ5 a game that supports 12 players and can only have one winner in the end was ineligible. Then a 1v1 mp mode that doesn't work half of the time and is very restrictive should also be ineligible. I don't know, this is just my opinion on the subject and would love to hear your guys thoughts - Yoshi

Hey Yoshi powder, this actually hasn't been decided yet, you can expect Joe to make a post or video on it if we decide to try out the game, I think he was leaning into playing the game if it was going to be f2p but I'm not sure what is in his head atm since the game went p2p.

It depends what you want...If you want a super realistic military shooter choose Arma...If you want a competitive multiplayer FPS choose BF4...If you want a stealth game choose Splintercell...If you want an RTS choose Rome 2...If you want a TBS choose XCOM
From my personal experience I can highly recommend XCOM (especially with the new expansion coming out that looks amazing), but I've heard good things about the others as well.
Also, Rome is 25% off this weekend on Steam

I would be very interested in this being supported by AJSA. It's a great game, real fun especially when playing with others. I would really recommend it being done with organised games, with training sessions done between them if we planned on doing it in any tactical fashion.

I also believe that arma would be great for the AJSA. If we get the numbers that is though, its great for team building, discipline and communication as well as other things. The whole milsim side of it is a blast and the actual player vs player is even more tactical. I fully support this idea and hope it gets through and becomes official - Yoshi ps. training events would also fit in so well because of coms procedures etc.

I've played this game myself when I was with DAGR, and it was pretty fun to play this mil-sim with people who knows what they are doing. Making an AJSA mil-sim for Arma 3 will bring more pros to the community and will give a tactical division for players that wants to use military tactics and coodinate well with each other.
Not convencing enough? Watch these videos of the group I used to play with. This is not advertisement since DAGR don't exists anymore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCn__4REU2o - I was the third one that repelled down from the chinook and took the rear gun position on the left side of the boat.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwG2dsV8hps&list=PL8FCC9C2AE16B1C7C I was handling a machine gun on a truck to the left.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFmGhVN3weE&list=PL8FCC9C2AE16B1C7C I was bringing up the rear and first to die because of an ambushing enemy on the left.
Tons of mods on Armaholic to expand the life of the game and add features.
A lot of vets also supports the game and other friendly clans that could help out.
Missions are highly replayable, with the games editor, anyone can create missions to play on them for either MP, Coop, and Solo.
Performance problems online.
Finding public MP matches takes time, since there is a lot of private servers for other clans.
Lacks developers contents
This game is a beast, and the AJSA should support this beastly game and get involved with the arma community. I'm hopeing everyone agrees with me.

So me and a few other dedicated fans have created a large thread on the strategy section of the forum.
(Links for all CIV threads I know of: 1 2 3)
Since this has finally been implemented, I thought it was my duty to suggest Civilization V
It's a wonderful game, as Joe said in his review ''It's addicting as hell''
It is a strategy game, revolving around macro management, and efficiency. Yet the game has some amazing details, so it doesn't feel too simple. It has leaders from the real world, and many traits which are inspired by real world policies. With the DLCs of Gods And Kings as well as Brave New World we have seen a great addition to the game. With things as espionage and tourism, the game has only become better post-launch.
The game has a in-game multiplayer component, and one can easily host a huge scale game. However time is an issue, but one could host games in weekends etc. The multiplayer sessions are great fun, and it's soo satisfying nuking another players capital and hearing his/her reaction over Teamspeak.
However, there is no real competitive scene in Civilization V, although we could all chip in, and perhaps create the first e-sport for the Civilization series. (One can only dream though)
I think as a community, having Civilization supported would greatly increase interest in the group. So for example: Strategy fans, looking for a good game with nice like-minded people, can join the group and join our games.
I hope I am not the only one feeling, that Joe should support this game, especially after his review of it. He praised it for it's fun mechanics, and simple yet satisfying game-play.
I hope all of you will vote this up!
(Ps: We are a few members who have organised a group already, however because of this we may need to merge it, if the game becomes official. You can find us here: Click me! (This is the same link as link number three))
Thank you for your time.
-A big Civilization fan
Cons and benefits of Civilization V:
The game has the Angry Joe ''Badass seal of approval''. (Link to the review: Click me!) Great community behind the game already, adding it to the supported games would only strongen AJSA's strategy fan-base. Suprisingly customizable multiplayer component. DLCs are not required, however nescessary if one has a DLC and another doesn't. However one can easily create divisions for X DLCS. Not a steep learning curve, pretty much everybody can play if they have tried a match or two. Cons:
Although customizable, the multiplayer component lacks some specific features (As far as I know) like custom maps and mods. Games tend to last several hours, and it would require great dedication and coordination to host a full match. Multiplayer WAS (It wasn't for me in my latest game) a bit buggy. However I am adding this as a con because it still could be. (Seems to be disproved, but it's a fair con to put on anyway.) No competetive scene in this game. No leaderboards for MP matches or anything. A scene can be created in AJSA itself, but there isn't any competition scene in Civilization V.
