    TimeSplitters Rewind:
The game has been in development for years now (since 2013), unfortunately the small group of developers over the years have struggled to keep the team together with the constant issues over the years with the game engine changing over and over. The latest update was given by one of the team members 5 months ago (March 2019) showing a very basic version of the beginning level of TimeSplitters 2 (TS2) - Mission 1: Siberia. The developer (Alfred Turner) has explained that he began creating the level since October 2018 mostly by himself (see the video link below).
The level itself looks amazing if I do say so myself! The level of detail instantly threw me straight back to playing TS2 as a kid and the nostalgia was running through my veins. If you can't tell already, I'm a huge TimeSplitters fan! (hence my user name)
Equally I am a big fan of Angry Joe and have been for years, all the way back to his FarCry 2 and Fallout 3 videos which feel like a lifetime ago now. One thing I did see all those years back was that Joe actually made a video with Gavin Stone and Tons of Fun Chris about Timesplitters (see the video link below) and how the series needed a new game to really mix up the First Person Shooter franchise (dominated by Halo at the time). I'm hoping to somehow push the information onto Joe in regards to helping spread the word about the game or even encourage people with the necessary skills to apply to join the TSR team.
I think for all the years where the rights of the series have been thrown around from developers to developers, I've lost hope in seeing the game be published by a company willing to take on the challenge. Therefore, TSR for me right now seems like my only hope of getting my favourite game series brought back to life.
If you're willing to join the cause in trying to get Joe to maybe make a quick video to spread the word or just want to jump on this thread as a way to reflect on the good memories you may have had of the past 3 games then feel free. I believe that if we all put our heads together we could support the guys putting in the hours to make the game.

Ahaha, Korean mmo games. I remember these things are all over the place when I was in secondary school. Ragnarok Online was the bomb with my classmates and they always go to the nearest internet cafe to play that thing. Plus Counter Strike + DOTA. I only went to those things once in my local mall just to play Counter Strike, but only a 2 hour session cause my dad was busy with stuff. Never go to those places again cause I ain't payin hourly fees when I can just play at home on my PC!

Here's a surprising game that I never got the chance to play until recently. A really damn good VN game that got translated into English 10 years after its release called 428 Shibuya Scramble. This game had FUNKY ass music that pumps me up for whatever is going to happen next, and also really damn sad songs that makes me tear up. Get this game now, it's well worth it.

I wish I could comment more on the soundtracks you post but true to the title I've never heard of any of the games they're from lol. Although I will say the second one kind of sounds like if someone took DMC's (the emo remake) theme and made an EDM remix of it.

As for me I've been playing Elsword again and let me tell you -- the game does not deserve music this good.

I'm not touching that one with a ten foot pole but suffice to say I would be happy not having to pay another 60$ just to get the rest of an already 60$ game and hundreds more on lootboxes with completely random rewards just so I can make my generic nobody character look any different from the hodge podge of chucklefucks surrounding me.
I get expansions like in GW2 because adding new content is a great way to get players to keep supporting the game while also actually rewarding them for doing so, but I absolutely hate companies like EA, Ubisoft and TOEI nickel and diming people for basic features like THE ABILITY TO HAVE ANOTHER SAVE SLOT or RESELLING YOU THE SAME RECYCLED CONTENT FROM PREVIOUS GAMES -- it's just ludicrous what these companies can get away with doing and at this point nothing they do surprises me anymore.
I used to watch Jim Sterling and Angry Joe complain about this stuff and be shocked by just what companies were getting away with but now? I'm numb, it doesn't effect me anymore, I'm just tired of it and want it to go away.

Just because Joe chose the name Angry doesn't mean we gathered a community or admin focused around nonsensical misplaced outrage about features we haven't bothered looking into or are actively trying to trick people into thinking work a different way, all while repeating generic fear-mongering phases we don't seem to know the meaning of.

Based on the misuse of censorship, I had assumed you had just listened to some rant video on Youtube or read an article on one of the clickbait outrage sites that sprang up a few years ago but now you are just clearly lying or are intentionally trying to misunderstand not only how this effects things and what kinds of things it effects, in addition to saying options are hidden or buried in menus when there are large asterisks and text areas above and to the side of the review area pointing you towards the simply explained two option choice preference menu.

It's absolutely Steams right to curate their platform as they see fit in an effort to make their features work in their intended way when they host the content. They also don't delete so you're still lying about how this works on top of not wanting people to manage their own communities and business.

I'm sure that's why just about every review bombing campaign I've seen has been completely unrelated to the content of a game, left years after release, based on irrelevant complaints about publisher actions with new titles who might not even have published older games, or based around harassment campaigns launched by Youtubers and outrage sites lying about things or telling fans to spam developers for inclusive policies and statements.
  7. Lazilot liked a post in a topic by Legolas_Katarn in No Talk About New Steam Review Censorship?
The system targets reviews left by assholes during review bombing campaigns who are all doing it at the same time and leaving comments largely or completely irrelevant to the quality of the game in question and similar to one another, also focusing on ones left right around the same time that are suddenly all negative when that wasn't the case previously. I'm sure the more abusive and toxic or clickbait Youtubers are already complaining about this, as I've seen in some cases, but the more general group of Youtubers and reporters are not going to be upset to see 100s or 1000s of spam reviews complaining about a game going to the Epic store, lacking Chinese language options, having female characters, taking down Pewdiepie videos, firing a xenophobic developer, etc to be a bad thing. The reviews are also not deleted but flagged as suspicious by Steam itself and not counted towards the recent total average, even positive ones made during the time are flagged as suspicious, which is quite a bit different than the game's developers or publishers deleting actual negative reviews. I can clearly see that by looking at the Borderlands 2 reviews and just checked to confirm this, which also means your post isn't telling the truth in any way. I don't know why anyone (other than Youtube grifters making money off drama) would treat Steam preventing the misuse of one of their own features on their own platform as a censorship issue, when the alternative is intentionally gaining more off topic rambling Steam reviews that make it more difficult to find quality products by the more casual gamers that would bother to read them in the first place while making developers trust the platform even less.

    Yerp

Hmm, Monster Trucks. Now that I drive my own car, if I saw those things driving in the road, I will just run the other way around because there's no way in hell I want to get squashed by those!

It's surprising that Rockstar of all people published that game, and only GTA San Andreas, GTA Advance + GTA V has those trucks. I thought these things would show up everywhere in GTA!

Thanks to Steam Spring Cleanup, I managed to play some old ass games that's been hanging in my library. This game called Hover in particular has really funky music. The game reminds me of Jet Set Radio, minus the roller blades.

Speaking of Tank games, here's another one from my childhood that's pretty dope called Mass Destruction.

    Cool songs as well

This next one is Rive, a game that I haven't played in a while but finally got back to because of the Steam Spring Cleaning event, and I'm glad I did because this game is really fun, and with a great soundtrack!

Well, they're of course really good soundtracks. And it's your list so good on you for sharing your favorite songs!

In the end though making just a top 5 is a disservice to music in gaming. We can't just pinpoint 5 game soundtracks since thousands of games have amazing music created by wonderfully talented musicians that bring each game to life. A lot of the unknown small/obscure ones especially are in this specific thread which you can check out.

But if you're curious about which soundtracks are my personal favorites, here are just 6 of hundreds that I can think off:

Undertale. So much so that I actually made a mix with Through the Fire and Flames

Nier Automata. Brilliant soundtrack for that one & every song tells their own story which accompanies the game so damn well

Shadow of the Colossus. Battling gigantic monsters with epic orchestral songs makes climbing them so damn goooooodddd.

Jotun. Perfect songs to accompany this Viking road to Valhalla

Furi. What's cool is that this is a boss rush game & every single bosses have their own theme which gets even more intense each time you take out their health bars

And Mighty Switch Force 2. Because it's so funky it's awesome!

This doesn't mean that these 6 are a top 6 for me. Hell naw. If I have to make a personal favorite soundtrack list, that list will be a 100 list where every songs are in no particular order because there's so many amazing soundtracks!

Rightyo, moving on to the next song I just discovered:
There's a pretty damn slick "one hit you're dead" action game called Katana Zero that was released recently, and what's cool about this game is that before a mission, the main character actually puts on his music player & play these kickass songs while planning his assassinations. He has swag yo

It's annoying that this game ends on such a big cliffhanger. ARRRGHH, I WANT MORE OF THIS GAME, MORE!!!

Speaking of, I think Warband falls well within the bounds of an obscure game as I don't know many people who are still talking about the medieval RTS/RPG hybrid I fell in love with back in 2010 that I still play on a frankly religious basis -- so with that in mind here's some tracks from some of my favourite mods for it!

Don't look at me; I'm still living in the dark ages where we buy physical copies of games by going into these things called "stores" that don't require you to install 100,000 different launchers before you can play the games. Still, if Steam gets trumped by anyone I hope it's by GOG because at least with them I can keep my games long after we annex Canada and start WW3, which will be ironic when future me is still playing Fallout 3.

I know it's not technically an official soundtrack but I've been playing this mod for AOE2 set around the time of the Viking Expansion and there's a custom music pack that replaces all of the in-game music with well...

Which is great because If I'm being honest the original AOE2 Soundtrack never gets this epic.

I'm appalled that I haven't posted this before considering it's one of my favourite games, it's incredibly obscure (Hell there wasn't even an english version of the second chapter until 2015 ffs 2015 ON A PSP!) and the music that accompanies you on your journey throughout it is easily the strongest and most touching part.
    And that theme...
I swear, when I heard it play at the end of the first chapter, after being put through what is possibly the saddest ending of all time I literally shed tears and rarely does a game ever garner that much emotion from me, so that's some seriously high praise coming from me.

  17. Bedomy liked a post in a topic by Lazilot in So... does anybody here still play GW2?
It's a legitimate question -- I never joined the AJSA guild because honestly I didn't even know there was one back when I started playing and there hasn't been any major updates in this forum since... 2017, so I have to ask, is anybody here still playing GW2?

Well, now that I know he basically has the same stated easily supported ideas as the majority of the industry I can ignore poor labor practices and their poor hiring and community management practices with GOG and love a wealthy corporation.

In my opinion Bethesda's games has always been mediocre at best and thanks to modding community to make their games much more playable. I wish Fallout IP would move to some other developer especially now when we lost Wasteland to Microsoft.
  21. Lazilot liked a post in a topic by Kaz32 in Fallout 76 Angry Review
Good thing I don't bother with this game cause I know it's just online Fallout 4. But I didn't expect this game to be worse than Elder Scrolls Online and Sea of Thieves. Holy shit what a FUCKING DISASTER! These many bugs?? This lazy of a content?? This is pretty much No Man's Piece of Crap, or Metal Gear Boring Zombie Fest, only it's by Bethesda. That's like if the MCU actually made Fantastic Four 2015 instead of Fox!

On the bright side, I laugh hard at this review. And Doom Eternal + Rage 2 will be even better than this crap. Maybe the teams are busy making those games and decided to give Fallout 76 to interns. Which is just fucking sad but it's the most logical explanation for this whole shit. People definitely should get a refund for this game, which unfortunately Bethesda didn't approve of. Dick move there.
  22. PlasticFrogCG liked a post in a topic by Lazilot in Old Game Slump
I feel you. To me it seems like there just aren't that many games that catch my attention anymore like they used to...
Like occasionally there'll be the odd indie game that has whacky physics or some other kind of crazyness drawing me to it like 'Stick Fight' or 'Totally Accurate Battle Simulator' but I usually avoid alot of the new AAA releases because they're often just so... similar and lackluster, whereas I could just load up Skyrim with the Enderal mod installed and play a completely different game even though it's literally the same engine and everything.
I mean, Red Dead Redemption 2 is obviously an exception but if I'm getting one of those for every Call of Duty clone or Obligatory Battle Royale game it's kinda like I'm at a McDonald's getting a large fry and every fry in the box except one tasted absolutely horrible -- which is starting to happen alot more and I could swear these fries used to taste better, like did they change the oil or something... *Leaves to continue ranting about McDonald's fries*

Not that this is a bad thing, but lately I've been engaged in some rather curious gaming behaviour that I'd like to discuss.
Namely, I have a whole Steam list full of games I purchased and haven't even played, but I keep going back to just two:
    Skyrim and Fallout 4.
I really can't seem to put my finger on why. I've played both of these games up to and past the actual "end game" several times, but I just keep rerolling characters and starting all over again. I also keep finding new mods I want to try out. Skryim is currently sitting at 138 active mods and Fallout 4 is running 167.
Every time I open my Steam list and try to find a new game to instal I just say "Nah, I'll play Skyrim/Fallout". Crazy!
Unless of course my little sister in Washington calls and wants to play The Forest.

I recently completed the first game after 1 year of not playing it. Glad I finally finished that game.

Good news is the fans of the game made an english patch right here

This next song is from one of the best Metroidvania games to ever feature a Luchadore, Guacamelee 2. Recenly released in August & no one besides me and a few others talked about it. WHY? THIS GAME IS AWESOME!

And this one is from the, MUAH, byoutiful surprise release that was Deltarune. Aka Undertale 2, or 0 I don't know. But what I do know is the music is still fucking phenomeally good!
Unfortunately this is only chapter 1 and the full game is not out until an undetermined time. ARRGHHH!!!! I WANT THE FULL VERSION NOW!!
